Prices quoted over the phone were not accurate (requested grand totals); prices were higher than quoted. Equipment availability given over the phone was not correct. When asked about the lack of availability of equipment reported as "in stock" I was told "we have not had this equipment for weeks." No instruction given on how to unhook the trailer. Lack of space for after hours equipment returns. The app did not work well at all.

Zadrick HThe pickup location was very helpful when U-Haul screwed up the reservation so I could not get the trailer at my normal location. I had to do an additional round trip of 60 miles but when I got there everything was expedited.
Jonathan BThey had 3 AT trailers to choose from. I wanted one with good tires. The one with good tires had a broken strap. I asked if he could swap it with one that had bad tires. I was told “I ain’t doing all that”. I asked to borrow 9/16 socket and I took 5 minutes and did it myself. They were nice enough to let me choose the trailer and loan me tools but the customer service attitude one employee showed was not good. 1 bolt was all that had to be removed to change the strap.
michael rI initially intended to only need the trailer for most of the day. But due to the availability of the furniture I needed to be picked up was available after the time I needed to return the trailer that was due for another reservation. You swapped out that trailer with a different trailer. I was able to complete my task. Thank you for allowing me to switch out the trailer.

Torie TThe trailer clearly wasn’t checked and when I arrived to my location an hour away to load I couldn’t open the gate. I had to inch it up - which took 45 minutes. Then I had to do the same again when I went to unload. When I mentioned this to the manager when I went to unload she was not apologetic in any way and said - you should have reported it to roadside assistance. I said - no I shouldn’t have been sent out of here with a trailer that was in that condition and I didn’t have time to wait for them. Never once was she even apologetic.

Came in a little early was told that truck was not ready then call 15 mins later truck was ready it was the same truck that was there 15 mins earlier. ARTHUR M1. Make sure the odometer readings on the trucks match up to the contract/receipt. I was unable to check out or in via the link that was sent 2. I was charged an extra 2 days rental due to U-HAUL software not working correctly. I returned the truck in less than 12 hours, the manager who was not available to correct the mileage charged me for extra days.

The woman who was at the counter later in the afternoon and I wish I had gotten her name, was .. well.. had a “I don’t give a shi* attitude. Her tone and mannerism when I said I wanted to check back in with a live person was unprofessional to say the least. The gentleman who did the actual check in was courteous and had a nice attitude.

He had one sitting in the lobby but refused to provide it to me because he said it was already reserved.

It’s hard to imagine that the expenses associated with running this type of business increased so much that at least 3 rate hikes were required in less than 3 years.

I know these things happen but it was still completely frustrating due to having many other people adjust or completely changing there schedule to be available for the equipment transfer (my equipment) the truck breaking down and causing a delay was I big problem for me.. it was fixed in a timely matter so I am happy with uhauls process

Aynaud HWe tried 2 other locations; couldn't see location on Pontchartrain. Fremaux was closed at 2pm. Thankfully, Gause was easy to find, fully equipped with quick & easy return. In less than 5 minutes, we were checked in outside & on our way. Young man on duty very pleasant. Will use again in future.

Bruce CI was told one thing about my return, and then ended up paying an extra day for the trailer I rented. I want people to be aware of the charges and times on their contract. Look carefully at it before you sign it!!!! Also watch out, because they will not honor what they said!!!!! Bad bad deal I got with them!!!! It turned out to be an awful experience with this location!!!!!!!!

LAKEETA DOnly difficulty I had was getting my things to B260. The cart was a but diff to push up that ramp, it kept wanting to roll back down. I'd recommend carts with handles on each end, so things wont' slide off and easier if only one person. But thats just a side note, it was all good. Thank you

I was charged with two 15 dollar charges I called and ask to speak to a manager she would not get in the phone I had to ask repeatedly for her to talk to me and the worker said their was nothing she can do so finally going back and forth Jessie finally got on the phone and I asked could one of the 15 dollar charges be removed and she stated no so I asked if there was anyone above her like corporate number and she said she was the boss so I googled corporate and my charge was removed and the customer service rep set me up with auto draft. Yesterday 8/17/2023 I can to remove all my items from storage when I went to the office to let the employee know she told me I had to go back to my storage and take a picture of it being emptied and show her my lock. The lock was in one of my boxes and I refuse to go back to the unit because of the heat index and my car was loaded with items. So another associate volunteered to go. Just a very unprofessional staff and I took all my items and place them with another storage company right down the street. If it wasn’t for the U-Hauls that are rented out this place would surely be out of business

Maybe you should put actual pictures on internet to let people actually see what it really looks like. Would never ever use again.

Jasmine C | Online Move InThe return process (with Regina and another lady, whose name escapes me) was confusing / convoluted - as they were having difficulty confirming the reservation / payment for my storage unit, which I thought was taken care of at check in. My mom, daughter and I were exhausted from loading the truck, so we were anxious to get unloaded and home for a shower - naturally our patience was wearing thin. Regina was unable to activate the card at check-in, so she told me to give her a 4-digit code that I would be able to use instead; however, when I pulled up and tried to use my code - ACCESS DENIED! We were eventually granted access to the gate, only to see a lock on the unit. By this time, its past COB and the store is now closed, so I called the number provided and subsequently ran into the other employee outside, who thankfully removed the lock before she left. Once we were granted access to the unit, my mom injured her finger on 2 EXPOSED screws dangerously jutting out of the door! I have pictures of the injury as well as the screws. Angie at the UHaul in Booneville, Ms. was very gracious, helpful and accommodating and at least in that end things went well. Obviously I am not a happy customer.l, especially having confirmed twice. If u need to use this company get names and reservation numbers and write them down! Unfortunately I did not.

Some of the staff was indifferent and not customer friendly. There were over charges and three times they were still trying to charge me for the unit after letting them know that I was moving my washer and dryer out and no longer needing the storage on July 1st. Honestly I have never had trouble with this location before and I am not sure if I would use them again.

Then the lady helping me had an attitude first with well I done told you 50, 000 times what she had available and how it works online and what climate controlled and non climate control was. She told me I should have reserved a unit with ac. So at 4pm on a Friday had to find another storage unit and now waiting on my refund.

Then I ask her if it was climate controlled she said yes. And insaid it doesn't feel like it and also the wells a space in the unit that was not closed off, so air, critters, etc can get in. So again I asked about climate controlled. She said we have units with a/c but didn't have any available. Um isn't that what I reserved. So we go back inside. There were 2 small climate controlled units available but not the size I needed. So while she is looking she is again saying I told you like 50,000 times what the unit was and things to that nature. The lady helping me was arguing with me and saying I was condisending. So here it was 4pm on Friday and had to search for a new location. So now I have to wait for my refund. Will NOT reccomend this place again

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this location. One more thing. There are lots of units that are listed as second floor, but the loading ramp makes them equal to first floor storage. There are carts stationed to wheel your goods to the unit. The ramps are covered and well protected from the frequent rain in this area. Works very well.
Errol O | Overall ExperienceBy the time I got my truck unloaded and drove it up front, the staff noticed that something was wrong with me. They call d the paramedics, put my contract on hold, and I went to the hospital. Thank God they noticed my illness. I was suffering from heatstroke and my kidneys were shutting down. I spent 3days in the hospital. Thanks to the staff, Heather and Miranda, I am alive today. These girls went above and beyond and I believe that they should be rewarded for their outstanding work ethic and their kindness and caring for another human being. They are now on my guardian angel list. Love you guys!!!!!

Afterwards, we discovered the the facility does NOT have an elevator or ramp but stairs to get to the upper unit. Furthermore, we have to utilize this facility because there isn’t another UHAUL near by besides New Orleans East.

Despite signs that said the building was sprayed for pest control I regularly saw bugs (including cockroaches) around the building. I found termite wings in my unit also. Everytime I went to my unit there was dirt in the loading/unloading area. The lighting was fine in the hallways, but the outdoor & unit lighting is poor and with cameras only on the doors of the buildings, not inside, I believe it is sub-par for security. Finally, the repeated rent increases were the last straw and I changed to a new storage facility.

I had to pay the movers for this time because of the poor management at the desk. There was one women there and she was juggle 3 phones calls while trying to check me into my reservation. She was going back and forth to each call helping everyone at the same time(including me) but the problem was that she was only giving each customer a small portion of her time which meant we all had to wait an extra long time. Honestly, I should have been priority because I was physically there and I had a reservation. Having to pay the movers more money for U-Hauls problems made me the most angry. It cost me $35 extra dollars that I paid to the movers. I would like to be refunded this money from U-Haul since it was U-Haul’s poor customer service that led to me spending that money. I have been renting from U-Haul for years and have spent $1,000’s of dollars here, but this experience makes me want to go elsewhere.

I am interested in maybe getting a lager size after she explained that it's possible to upgrade to a larger unit when it becomes available. I misunderstood - thought I was getting one month free with a truck rental but she explained that because the truck was not a one way drop-off it was not qualified. She was very patient as I had many questions.

Even though I cleared out my unit and returned the eguiptment 3 days prior to the next billing cycle she would not refund my deposit or future payment. When I spoke with a customer service representative they said they would resolve the matter. It has been a month and I still have yet to receive my refund on my deposit or the monthly fees that were not due for 3 days.

When it was time to pickup my furniture, it had been ran through in my boxes items thrown around looking for valuables and brand new items were stolen down to kitchen towels and glass crafted beveled mirrors. My lock was cut and they put their own lock on it hoping I would not be able to access entry and the rest would be auctioned. They broke glass tables and all. ***Do Not*** store anything of value at this place. Highly disappointed since I have used Uhaul Tilane Ave for many years with no theft issues or poor service. I want all my items back!
