Edgar ClarkePaid for a dolly but it wasn’t on the truck at the time of pickup. Got a call asking to return a dolly that wasn’t provided to me. The gentleman at pickup advised to bring the truck back at a quarter tank, when doing so; I was charged an additional 70$ in fees for gas. Meanwhile, the authorization hold for the original amount is pending to clear.

Wolfgang OhmI'm seeing an extra charge of $20 in my bank statement that is pending. I returned to truck before the due hour on due date. Sales rep did call me a couple of hours after asking me if I wanted to extend keeping truck and I had to remind him that I already turned in truck before the time. I will be calling tomorrow to see what the $20 is since I read that the $20 is for next day checking truck, but again I returned before 5pm.

NICK KRAUSEThe windows on the truck were dirty, inside and out. It was difficult to see, especially at night. The truck that I received was NOT what I reserved. I was told the cargo van that I reserved was infested with bugs so I was given a box truck instead. That truck was awful as it needs an alignment. I am surprised that I made it to DC and back and did not die!! There was no blue tooth in the truck so I could not connect for navigation. When I tried to attach my phone to the vent, the vent fell out. Everything was manual, including windows. It felt like 1985 in this truck! When I returned the truck, I put more gas in it than when I received it. I told the woman processing the truck this information. She promptly told me I was not supposed to do that. She was rude. Instead of saying thank you, she kind of scolded me for returning the truck w/ extra gas. Trust me I did not plan on it but since I had no way to know how much gas it would take. Such a crazy experience.

It took me more than 30 minutes to return the van due to glitches in your app. I tried downloading pictures to your app several times until I just opted to save pictures on my phone for proof of the condition of equipment returned. Ricky BoydI did the 24/7 rental at the original location that I chose after I completed the rental the app told me to go inside for the keys. I went inside and showed the lady my phone where it said to get the keys, she never said anything and called someone and gave me the phone. I got on the phone and it sounded like 2 people talking at the same time, I told him I could not understand anything he was saying and he said I was rude and then started yelling in a different language before he hung up he said he is not giving me the keys. I went outside and called Uhaul traffic and they sent me to a further location. The representative said she was giving me a discount for my inconvenience at $0.69 per mile. I went to the 2nd location and the representative there seemed like she was having a bad day and it also seemed like I was bothering her by being there to rent the truck. She said they did not have a reservation for me and called traffic again. She finally did the rental but said there was no note in the system about a discount and that I would have to call U-Haul. I got back home with the truck and called Uhaul traffic and after 40 minutes on hold they finally found the representative that gave me the discount. She said she was putting the note in again and when I return the truck they will see that I am to get a discount. I returned the truck and I again it did not show the note and the lady said “I ain’t gonna give you any discount, you need to call them”. She was very aggressive and defensive right from the beginning. I called Uhaul traffic for the 3rd time and the representative said there is no note. I asked that she pull the call since they are all recorded. I had to pay the full amount up front because no note was ever entered in the account. She told me that “if in fact the representative said I was to get a discount, then she will need to hear it on the recording.” I said that is fine and I have no reason to lie to you. She called me about 3 1/2 hours later saying that she did hear the representative state I was to get a discount for the $0.69 per mile and I would see a refund on my card within 3 to 5 days. I understand that there are people who try to get discounts and what not but the way I was treated is uncalled for and very unprofessional. All of this could have been avoided by a simple note in my account. I will not be using Uhaul ever again. Budget and Penske May be more money but the customer service is so much better.

DUANEROGERS HUNTERWhen I first arrived there were no staff for about 10 minutes. The person walked through the door and proceeded to help with my needs, although they didint seem like they enjoyed it. I’m concerned about pricing. I ended up paying over 120 dollars for a rental that was only supposed to be around 40-50 dollars. Please disclose costs ahead of time. Some people go to U-Haul to save money and not spend as much as they would on any other renters site or service.

I also was overcharged for a Uhaul and never got refunded. Other than that most of the staff was professional and helpful .and the place itself was clean and organized.

Earl DunnThe female who took my reservation over the phone and the one who handled the rental was very nice. The truck I was receiving was just returned so the employees were still turning it around. When I went outside they were wiping down the inside of the cab. Once I started the truxk up, I saw the check engine, tire pressure and a trailer check lights on. I immediately got out to let the employee know and they said yeah nothings wrong the mechanics didn't reset the dash after it was repaired. I looked at the tires and saw one the looked low. As soon as they filled the tire the tire pressure light went off. As for the check engine light, yes I know some times it is on for the O2 sensor which is not major. Because I was going only about a total of 30 miles, I decided to still use the truck even with the check engine on. If I was going any further I would not have taken the truck. When renting a vehicle I believe it should be in good condition. I do not believe any vehicle should be rented out with a check engine light on and all tires should be check.

By busted, I mean, the screws holding the lock on were just sitting in two oversized holes so all anyone had to do to access my unit was to use there hand to pull off the lock area. I always got the same response, well we have cameras. No one ever messed with my unit. But still would've been nice to have that extra security of a locked storage unit I should've had the whole time. The bathroom finally got fixed within the last few months. The storage facility is well lit and always clean. Every person I talked to, in the office, was professional and courteous. The housekeeper was always friendly and a sweet woman to talk too. I have recommended this U-Haul and would recommend again, even with my broken lock. I am writing this in hopes that corporate can finally send the stores the right supplies to fix said issue. Since everytime it was ordered, the hardware would not come or wasn't available. Thank you.

I submit my move out request prior to the payment due date and I received an email a little while later saying that I still needed to pay on the unit. I told them I sent out a request prior to the due date and I received ANOTHER email saying I owe. It makes me wonder whether you all are trying to take people's money or perhaps your system is unorganized. After calling up there, the lady says she saw my move in request and that someone would give me a call back. I received NO call back and just yesterday received another random email saying I owe. I respond to that one saying I already went through this and I have evidence to prove I do not owe you all. After no response, I finally receive an email including my receipt from my move out. HUH? I will definitely not be using the Uhaul at Dupont again. Also, the employees that sent these emails are Mary Treschenko and Sulma Culbertson.

We had a unit on the outside at the U-Haul across from Bellwood on Jefferson Davis. When we emptied the unit it was just as clean inside as when we rented it.
