I was moving during Tropical storm Imelda, and due to the rain and flooding it took me 2 hours longer than I expected to move. The truck was on 3/4 tank of gas I returned the truck full,due to the weather I should have a the very least been given grace for the extra two hours instead of being charged another day. I asked could I keep the truck longer since you are charging me for an extra day, because I was not finished moving furniture the answer was NO!. In the future will find another truck rental company

I walked in to the store around 7:10am for a 7:00 am reservation and was told I had to wait for assistance because the clerk was still opening the store. After disclosing I made a reservation through the Uhaul app and was coming to pick up a van. I was told that I would need a major credit card to rent from Uhaul. I did not have a credit card on me so in turn had to convince my brother to pay for the rental with his credit card. This in turn required for my reservation to be updated to his name. The clerk then took my brother ID card and took picture of it with her personal phone which then bothered me. As we are trying to process payment for the rental van. The clerks system “crashes” and before the payment was complete. I then pull out my phone and used the Uhaul app to attempt to process payment through the app. After filling in information that was already provided to the clerk. I get to then end and...... I was able to use my debit card to pay for the rental. No credit card was needed. I then review my contract emailed to me and not only could I have paid with debit card but with cash. As I’m processing payment through the app with my debit card , the clerk then states “it let you pay with your debit card on the app didn’t it” which implies she already knew I could have paid with debit card to begin with and now the order was processed with my brother as driver because I was under the impression a credit holder was needed to transact the request. This is not to mention the lady had a very Condescending attitude and was disrespectful and inappropriate to even go through with taking a picture of my brothers ID on her personal cell phone. All in all, I wasted 50 minutes resolving an issue that never even existed and inconvenienced everyone including my brother who was not even suppose to be driving the Uhaul or apart of my reservation due to the clerks ignorance. Not to mention the potential fraud that may happen. I have of no clue if my brothers ID is saved as an image in her phone. I will NEVER use Uhaul again. This was the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

I selected this drop off site when I made the reservation. I called U-Haul and confirmed my reservation two days before pickup. I confirmed my drop off at pickup time. When I arrived at my drop off, they refused to take the truck saying it was too big. I had to argue for almost an hour. I called customer service and they told the local person they had to take the truck. The local person called his supervisor and his supervisor said not to take the truck, even though U-Haul customer service was on the speaker phone telling them they had to take it. They insisted I had to drive the truck miles to another location for drop off. Finally, after much arguing and holding my ground, the person accepted and checked in the truck. This was totally Unacceptable after a long, hot, hard day of moving. I’ve used U-Haul many times. Not sure why this one went so far south. I would appreciate a credit on the rental for the issue at the front end costing me gas money and for the extended problems encountered during the return.

I left due to the fact it was not climate controlled. The light sensor come on as you are leaving. I paid for the month of May, moved out a week later. Still got sent an auto draft. Need new staff.

You can offer more training to staff. I picked up a scheduled truck. The rep that was there name was Bryce. Bryce didn't not want to walk the truck, my truck was dirty inside and out with spills inside on the passenger side and the back of the truck still had debris wasn't swept out at the time I was the only customer inside so not sure if it was the heat outside or laziness. I wasn't offered a new truck I was just told I wouldn't be charged for cleaning i guess i should be happy not to pay for someone else's mess. The rep that was there when i returned the truck 6 hrs later name Bes i believe confirmed with Bryce what I stated about the truck offer an apology and just told me to contact the manager and let the manager know my experience. I have used uhaul before first time at this location as well as uhaul labor and this location service was the worst. The question was what can uhaul do to improve offer continuous training to staff

The location was fine, but the U-Haul policies would give me second thoughts about using it. I rented a dolly for the day to move some boxes locally. $7:58. It took forever. Copies of my license, email, phone number. They needed a second phone number, I only have one. But was told I couldn’t rent a dolly with only one phone number. So I gave them a friend’s and that didn’t work because it wasn’t in my name. Then the system wouldn’t accept the additional numbers I gave them. Finally tried my mother’s number (same last name), but I had to try that 4 times before it would take. The gentleman helping me was very nice and apologetic about the inconvenience and I understand it was not him. This was around 10:30am. When I returned the dolly that afternoon, I was charged for 2 days because it was “late”. I asked how it was late to return something the same day when I rented it for the. day. The lady told me that it was a U-Haul thing and that the “day” ended at 2pm. After that it becomes another day. That seems odd, she amended the transaction to only charge me for a day. Again, the person at the location was nice and helpful. But the fact that U-Haul has policies that caused me this much inconvenience and aggravation for a $7.58 transaction would make me reconsider using them again. I understand the need for such “thoroughness” if you are turning over a truck to someone, but seems a bit excessive and a major annoyance for dolly.

I use to pick your services it’s being one of the best option at a time to move our home stuff . This time I personally had An awful experience with the sales person of 2415 S Dairy ashford location . I suppose to return my rental at 9am and due some issues (rain) going on during my move I got there at 10:30 am previously I did call this lady telling her that I will be a bit late . So happens that she charged me almost double I did try to escuse my delay but it was impossible due to arrogant lady actitud terrible customer service . It was rather bad planning on the part of the manager to have an appointment that kept her out of the store on Saturday between the hours of 11 and 1. This resulted in one person being there. While he did his best to run the 5 customers through as fast as he could, it was overwhelming and as fast as he moved it took him 25 minutes to get to me so that I could return my truck. Really bad planning on the part of the Manager. Monumental praise for the young man left to do it all!

Your website and software system needs to be reconfigured to eliminate those locations that do not rent one way vehicles once that option is selected. I showed up at my "preferred location" only to be told that my rental was not there - it was at another location. My "preferred location" did not even rent one way vehicles. I had to go to the other location by Lyft. What a waste of time. I was never contacted by any representative to discuss the pickup location as it noted I would be in my confirmation email. To be clear, the representatives at my "preferred location" were very apologetic and helpful. They noted that it happens often. You need to get it fixed.

The equipment (cargo truck) worked just how it should. The customer service was below par. Particularly, the older, female working at the location. Her overall attitude is very dry. When i returned the cargo van I was greeted outside by a second customer representative. I went inside to wait at the counter. The older, female was at the counter, and she did not greet me in any manner. It was a very awkward minute or two, the silence between customer and u-haul employee. If I need a cargo truck again I will return. Customer service needs a lot of work.

Staff is rude and disrespectful, they turn customers away just to leave on time, without giving alternative ways to rent a truck. When I asked for a truck, they said it's too late to rent a truck (this was at 6:40 and they close at 7) when I told them I called 5 min ago and you said come in, they said it takes too long. I ask for the supervisor he got mad, he said my supervisor is gunnu tell you the same thing. After going back and forth, he says I don't have a truck available, then he said he only has pick up trucks, until the supervisor came out and gave me damn truck left the location at 7:40. Never getting a uhaul again!

The hours are horrible. I had a really hard time access my storage as I work during the day and need the ability to move in the evenings. This location does not allow that as it closes at 7pm.

1) Add "ensure inside windshield glass is clean" to pre-rental equipment checklist. 2) Add "ensure cargo deck is clean" to pre-rental equipment checklist. While it looked like the box had been swept out by the last user, there was a lot of dirt on the deck that could not be swept away - I had to use a mop (sticky spills - like soft drinks)

This was my first experience renting a UHaul and sad to say I will never rent from UHAUL again. I was already having a terrible day with having to cancel movers, losing my ID and the overrall stress of moving after a long work day. I reserved a UHAUL via mobile to make the reservation and process quick. It was a long and daunting embarrassing process. The mobile reservations was canceled and the agent at a UHAUL location was closing and was unable to help us. She also told us why our mobile reservation was canceled and after being embarrassed I thanked her for her help and left to find another UHAUL in my location already upset. I found another location, yet unfortunately they didn’t have the truck I needed and I was forced to pay for a more expensive and oversized truck. The light on the truck didn’t work. The dolley I paid and rent for appliances I didn’t use. I also paid for insurance for the truck thinking it can help with roadside assistance for the unthinkable to happen. And of course the worst thing happens. Keys get locked in the truck. Roadside assistance don’t cover that. Calling UHAUL roadside assistance already made me feel uncomfortable by directing me to go online for a quicker response. That’s why I called the roadside assistance direct line to have that option to speak with an agent. After reaching an agent name LaTrina who was very rude and not informative or willing to assist, I made the decision I would never rent from UHAUL again. I really feel there is a disconnect with online, corporate and your UHAUL locations. I felt like I wasted so much money and was not vauled as a customer from the company.
