I felt bad for him .. there was a line up 4 people ahead of me and two behind me .. my p/u was for 7:30 am..didn't get out of there till 8:30 am. When coming to 7403 17th St Nw Edmonton, We were in a unit A012 but when arrived April 1, 2024 our stuff wasn't there it was moved to a different unit and some else was moved in. with out notice of any cind, then had to wait to be moved in a new unit.

The rental was a bit muddy from the last rental but clean inside. Some fender damage but I took pictures of the damage as per the checkin process. Checkin and return went well and the staff were perfect.

I’ve heard not good reviews about the location in Sherwood park so I decided to deal with this location instead, which I’m glad I did. The only thing I would recommend is having it fueled up before renting out, or at least above half a tank. The one I rented was just below 1/4 tank when picking it up. Other than that, great service and will definitely rent again from this location

Booked a trailer when I was in Kamloops for a rental from Edmonton to Kamloops to move my stuff back they should’ve notified me that there was no trailer’s available for this move before I came to Alberta to start packing I could’ve easily picked one up in Kamloops and rented for the week instead and then I would’ve known that I’d have trailer for sure

Our storage unit was broken into and the uhaul staff did very little to assist us. They actually made us purchase a lock from them to secure the door that was broken. They constantly argued with us about garbage disposal, even though we paid for the use of the garbage cans. Overall, we did not have a good experience.

For after hours return go back to using your website like before. I don’t want to use my data downloading your app onto my phone in the parking lot only to have to create a password that isn’t strong enough only to forget it next time I need to use the app. Which by that time it will have to be updated again anyways.

Making sure that the unit is working perfectly. Check headlights for instance which was very important because we were travelling 1300 km toward Vancouver. Had to stop on the way because the headlights were so poor which would be a danger to drive during darkness!!

I was told I got 24 hr access and went to move my stuff in as my place flooded and I was homeless, and I couldn’t get in passed 9pm so I was lied to, also cancelled my storage and was charged another month and late fee even though I had canceled and moved everything out.

The unit was already very dusty and dirty upon move in. Over the two months our belongs were there, a thick coat of dust settled over everything. The garage doors were not sealed to the ground. Secondly, we had a double unit with doors on either end. We were told we couldn't access both sides and could only use the one door which seemed very silly to me.

Felt bad for the guy who rented it to me. It still had garbage from previous renter. And he had to clear it out before I could go in. Think his name was Evan who was amazing at getting it cleared . Each time I was there he was very helpful and friendly. Because of him, I would return and tell friends to store there if they were looking for a place .

Despite the customer service excellence and security strengths, I was inconvenienced in difficult ways by not being able to pay online with a visa debit card which your extremely wealthy company chooses not to have the courtesy to offer its numerous clients; and I was very displeased to find rodents had been living well with my storage contents when I went to clear out my storage unit recently. Those two factors are enough for me to provide you with an "average" rating that downplays how good your staff are the the Edmonton 17th Street location, I will not use your company again unless those two very annoying problematic matters are reversed to my benefit.

Only issues I had firstly I had booked a 10x15 unit online in advance almost a week before. when I got to the facility the unit was not availbale. It was my moving day so I was really stuck. The representative gave me 2 10x10 units but now I will be paying 300 plus dollars in storage. I was very disappointed but what could I do had no other option as by then there were no more 10x15 rooms available. I had booked a box dolly as well that was no available as well.All in all a very stressfull experience. But the employees were helpful.

We were extremely disappointed that the 10 x 15 unit we booked and was confirmed a couple of weeks ago was not available when we arrived with the UHaul truck to unload just boxes of household items. The nice young lady at the front desk called around and tried to accommodate us however there were no other UHaul units in Edmonton. We were able to get a 10x10 (free for the inconvenience) for the month but our furniture will not fit into it as it is now full of boxes only. The young lady did give us a free month and we wait till a 10x15 becomes available. Unfortunately that will require a large part of one day to move everything again when that happens. So an unexpected hitch in our move.

I called to cancel my storage, after I moved out, and they confirmed it was canceled (after waiting on hold for an hour), only to get an email a week later saying I owed them a late payment fee because I hadn't paid for something I had cancelled! To call uhaul on 17 st was almost impossible to get through to customer service. There were times it took me 3 days to get through to them just to make a storage payment. When you did get through I would be put on hold and no one came back to answer the phone. Chane the GM would never reply to my emails I sent to him to make a storage payment or call me as I would leave my phone number for him to call me so I could make a payment. The phone situation needs to be looked at.

Am per was stolen from the uhaul site. Luckily it was found. We keep our site paid for yet the facility allowed someone else to put there stuff In our site. We checked twice and we would not have been able to park our camper. After notified them it was stolen no one called to see if everything was okay and if they could do anything. Answer yeas call check in with your customer help get video footage together offer to load in onto a Zip drive. When I spoke to mama her he said they(police) did not have a Zip drive to download footage. To me get dates and download it for the customer and police. This to me is customer service. I know If I was the manager I would have got a Zip drive for customer and police. Have rented before in other cities from uhaul and they were awesome unfortunately this has left a bad taste in mouth.

The online process stated that my lock would be ready in the storage locker. This was untrue. As we waited for the employee to come open up our unit we started to unload the trailer. After 30 minutes of waiting and having most of the trailer unpacked we than were told we had to be moved. Not happy. Also, the poor employee was alone on a Saturday. I've never used a storage facility before so hard to know how to rate the service. I can say I had one issue with snow in the storage room but the issue was quickly resolved to my satisfaction. As there is usually only one staff person at any given time (at least when I was there) the service can be slow if they are serving another customer but the staff were always friendly.

My unit was broken into and had property stolen. Was told the employees do a yard check twice a week but didn’t notice when my unit was broken into for weeks. The security footage showed nothing because the manager said it must have happened prior to the last day on the footage (30 days). When I came to close my unit, Edmonton police were there and in discussion they revealed that theft from the property is a common experience and that this location has the highest frequency of theft related calls. Even though staff tried and were somewhat helpful, nothing could be done regarding my lost property or compensation because of the incompetence of security that has been in place. I will never use again nor will I suggest anyone to use uhaul storage for anything important or of significant value. I asked for a refund to at least cover some of the lost property but all I was offered was a credit to continue using the unit. Why would I continue using the unit if uhaul couldn’t give me peace of mind to start with.

Locker is constructed such that mice can easily enter, and they pooped and peed and chew everything. I recently called and was left on hold, told agent. Asked for manager, he said he was manager and was busy. I emailed customer service in USA. Manager said complaints are bounced back to him. On site washroom filthy, dishwashing soap only soap available (do they know there is a pandemic), no paper towel holder, floor filthy, no garbage bin. I called U Haul about 4 years ago when I used 149 Street site. Told agent I was double charged. She said she would get back to me. Hasn't called yet. I moved out May 16, 2020 after telling local Pock-It Storage about the dirty U-Haul facility. Pock-It matched price and upgraded me to climate-controlled unit at no extra cost. During my check out process, agent at local U-Haul interrupted me 3 times during a one-minute conversation. Obviously no customer training. I got my receipt, thanked him and left. You just lost 100 customers. All the best.

I was lied to about the unit being lit. The latches don't line up properly and I could not open the unit by myself:( I left repeated messages for the manager to call me, which he says he never received :( Once I spoke to him, he was very helpful and accodating:) Payment was requested 17 days after I moved out by staff. In speaking with him that day he said he would make a note. Payment was request again 19 days after move out by email. I have an ongoing issue with the rental truck location that is still unresolved:) No I would not recommend your company even after decades of loyalty to you. The snow hasn't been cleared in front of some units and there was dust on the walls inside so in my opinion the facility maintenance has gone downhill

Move in day, I couldn’t close the door to the unit. I looked to see if there was anything in the way of the door (my stuff on the inside) but there wasn’t. Turns out the tracks the door closes on, we’re full of ice. Nobody had cleaned the unit or made sure the unit would be move in ready clearly. I’m sure this isn’t the first time this has happened. I’m sure it won’t be the last. It was late and it was also the coldest day of the year. I just wanted to get out of there so when we finally got the door closed, I just wanted to go home, warm up, and sleep. I ended up going back to the unit a couple times and every time I went, the unit was VERY difficult to open. We had to use a crowbar to open and shut the latch. Or it wouldn’t open. That amount of force and pressure was frustrating and def avoidable if the people maintaining the units, cleaned out the tracks before someone moves in. I mentioned something the second last time I went to the facility because it is so time consuming just to open and close the door. The man was great with me even tho I was extremely upset. He mentioned he would tell his manager but I don’t know if anything happened. My unit also had a light but no light switch or pull string. No way to access the light bulb to change it unless I brought a ladder.

Mice infested storage. When we asked management to fix an issue with our storage locker we were told to use “Irish spring soap” to keep mice away. Our storage locker door wouldn’t close properly.

There is no security for storage outside the building, Our battery from our camper was stollen and we were told that they didn't look after those things you must have your own insurance.
