The U-Boxes were supposed to be delivered to Coos Bay, Oregon but we're delivered to Eugene. They stayed in Eugene the entire time we were in Coos Bay. This was inconvenient for us, however, U-Haul did transfer one of the U-Boxes we needed to the Coos Bay facility, free of charge, so we could get what we needed from the container. Overall, I would definitely recommend U-Haul for a move because the staff is very friendly and accommodating and my property was in perfect condition when it arrived at our new home.Dwayne B.

The Eugene office was amazing. The Colorado offices were horrific. Every time I called, I got a different person with a different message about how I would be charged after delivery. UHaul says the customer can change at any time, so I believed it. I was also told that if it was due to scheduling issues at the UHaul office that my box wasn't picked up when I wanted it to be, I would not be charged extra time. So, I wanted to get a pick up that was within my 30-day rental period (Aug 26, 27,28,29,30), and they were too busy and understaffed to accommodate me, so they were going to charge me for an extra month even though my box was empty by Aug 25 and ready for pickup! That is crappy customer service. I had to fight to not be charged. After a very heated discussion, the driver came back on the 26th and picked it up. So I assume I was not charged (can't tell from the invoice online). The customer reps in CO were so snotty and inflexible, no care whether or not I was put out. I will not use the UBoxes again bc of this. I will go with PODS even though at the outset, they seemed more salesy and sleezy.wendy D.

The timing for picking up my box was earlier thank scheduled and left with only half of my items inside with no lock. the workers on the phone were nice but it took longer than it should have to make the driver redeliver our box so we could finish packing up. it was delivered to our new location late because of their error.Liz A.

The original delivery in Oregon was 2 days late! Which caused a LOT of stress on us to get them packed in time before closing on our house. Also we had two cards charged and still trying to work that out. No offer of compensation for NOT meeting the contract we originally set up.michael G.

UHaul made this move smooth. Despite our many changes and unknowns during this move UHaul's part was seamless. They answered the phone each time I called, or called me back in a timely manner. They were flexible many times to our changing schedule. All of the delivery drivers we met were courteous, friendly and efficient. We moved out of our home before our new home was available. UHaul stored our stuff. It was nice to have a place to store the stuff until our new home was ready that did not require transferring our belongings multiple times.Shawna B.

The boxes arrived two weeks late. For those two weeks we called around and nobody was able to give us a straight answer about where the boxes were and when they were going to arrive. At the Philly office they were very rude and impatient with us. It took us calling the Eugene office and ANOTHER Philly office to finally find out where our box was and schedule it for delivery. Additionally, the only told us the box wasn't going to arrive at the original scheduled delivery time the day before it was set to arrive. This means we wasted money on a loading zone permit and weren't even able to use it.Sonja Z.

I'm not sure of any improvements that can be made, every step of the way Uhaul was friendly & efficient. They arrived when they said they would and explained everything about the process multiple times. We were in contact with the company every step of the way, because they called us. It was nice to see a group with some work ethic and pride. This move was the easiest ever!Shaun H.

I rate the staff as very friendly and very helpful from Eugene, but I rate the staff (Brandy) from Atlanta, GA at (803) 791-9714 as extremely rude and absolutely incompetent! The associate in Eugene was considerate by calling and telling me they were short on furniture pads and only had six instead of the amount I ordered. She also told me when to expect pickup and texted me the 2-hour time frame. The call center for pick up (Eugene, OR) was great, but the call center for delivery (Atlanta, GA) was horrible! Brandy was rude and could care less in helping me. There were children yelling and a TV in the background when I called to ask for a time frame on delivery, since I got a text from the driver when it was being picked up, but nothing from the driver when it would be delivered. I called at least 4 times since the window for delivery was between 8:30am-7pm, trying to narrow down the window because I had taken time off work to be there for the delivery. Brandy would say she tried calling the driver but they didn't answer, she couldn't see on the GPS where she was, nor could she find out any info. She transferred me to someone who had nothing to do with U-box shipments. When I called back, she told me to call the U-Haul 800 number. Finally, I contacted the rep from Eugene and she was AWESOME! She told me where my shipment was and I got a text when to expect it. When the driver arrived, she said no one tried to call her and she had no missed calls. BRANDI NEEDS TRAINING ON HOW TO DO HER JOB! She was completely useless!Tatum B.

The price was way to high for this service. It started out at around $3,500 and ended up paying over $6,600 I did add one pod but still was a lot more than I expected. I doubt I would recommend UHaul to someone moving across the country. Also they quoted a price then after the pods were in their warehouse, it cost me almost $100 more to get them delivered to my house. This was not explained when I went with U Haul. They only said that I could change the address of where delivered.CAROL S.

Ourbox was delivered 150 miles from our location. We then paid extra $99 to have it brought to us a week late. Box was damaged on the bottom. Wood split. Some of our belongings, including a steel tool chest and a large ceramic pot. We have taken pictures, and showed the person who picked up the UBox after it was picked up after being emptied.Personnel was cordial, B I t professionalism of service worse from 2 Yeats ago when we used your services.Rodney K.

Deanna and Becky took great care of us to ensure we had our boxes when and for the length of time that we needed them. Deanna was extremely careful with delivery and pickup of boxes to avoid any damage. Her forklift skills are amazing. Thanks to UHaul for bringing such wonderful staff to help us move.Janeane H.

Super incredible experience, with the Eugene location. I had a few hiccups but the manager cleared it all up as soon as it was brought to his attention. I paid far over market price to have my stuff shipped because I was certain I would get better service than others, which was not the case. The pick-up date was changed twice, no one bothered to tell me. The drop-off date was two weeks early, no one bothered to tell me. But Uhaul has been very communicative when I owe them money. I sat in an empty apartment for two weeks, bought an air mattress & ate out, all while my stuff was down the road. I've called Uhaul seven times now, for a total of over 7 hours, each person assuring me that I would not be charged a monthly rental fee for my box, nor any late fees. Despite 7 people & 7 promises, I am now being charged a monthly rental fee & late charges for delinquency. While most of the people I've spoken to have been friendly, their friendliness now appears as total evasion to deal with my situation: All I asked was to not be charged for something beyond my control, but I can't even get that. I expect I'll have to call an 8th, 9th, maybe 10th time, but no one will compensate me for my time, as the charges accrue that I was assured I wouldn't have to pay. Even now, I was called by Uhaul who assured me that they didn't call me; when I tried to explain what happened, the person didn't care to hear: Not her problem I guess! Not UHaul's apparently. Next time I'll have a thousand dollars & go without the brand name. Maybe other people should, too.Ronald D.

They delivered a box that was dirty and full of about a hundred used, unpackaged pads, which I had to pile in two SUVs and deliver to the local office in Corvallis. The people were all great but that created a burden I did not need. Further, things like date changes and supply ordering are difficult, in not impossible, on the internet and sometimes it takes far too long to get someone on the phone.robert T.
The box was in bad shape when i first got it, and was falling apart when it arrived. Could clearly see through the gaps in the corners where it was coming apart. Recommend repairing that box before next use.Kristopher P.

Don't tell people if they get another container it will add a little to the shipping cost. Tell the truth that they will be raped. Charged way more than the stuff they are packing. Tell them they are better off hiring a moving company it will be cheaper.Beth C.
Deanna was wonderful! This was my first time using a U-Box and she made the experience a positive one. She demonstrated 5-star customer service! There was an issue where i had loaded the cube too heavy on one side, and she assured me that the warehouse would have the equipment needed to prevent the cube from tipping. She was also able to pick up the box the same day! I really appreciate Deannas friendliness and knowledge. She went out of her way to make the experience a positive one!Scott N.

U-haul was fabulous! It was so easy to order the u-box, have people deliver the box and then load it and take it away the same day to get delivered Denver to Eugene. There were some setbacks in the process however: First, didn't have a destination address when I set up the order and then when I got the destination address there was no way to set up delivery to the address until the box actually landed in Eugene. I was told multiple times that they would call me when the box arrived but that didn't happen. I got an email letting me know it was on it's way and then another when it arrived. Both of those were appreciated too! However, when the box arrived I called the number in the email to set up delivery and was told that they would call the next day. Nobody called the next day. I called again and then tried to set up delivery. The people I spoke with were very friendly but there was some confusion as to how to get the delivery and MovingHelp set up. That wouldn't be a problem if I hadn't waited on hold for a very LONG time to then be told I needed to order delivery directly from MovingHelp and they could transfer me, only to find out that MovingHelp needed a contract before they could do anything so they transferred me back, where I waited on hold for a VERY long time AGAIN. So, it wasn't quite seamless, and it all worked out fine, but this is an area to look at if you need to improve things. As far as using MovingHellp: On the Denver end they were able to load my box in 2 hours, including 2 flights of stairs. That was amazing. However, it may have taken only 2 hours because it was like they just threw stuff in. Boxes were upside down, and thankfully I packed well enough that nothing was broken, but still in packing I expected the boxes to be upright and packed with that in mind. Most disturbing was that my living room chair was packed upside down and the blanket hanging off it when the box was opened. Heavy things had been placed on top of it which did something wonky to it so it now sits about 2 inches lower than before and the recliner is looser than before. I haven't figured out how to fix it yet, but I'm tall so those 2 inches now make the chair unusable to me. Everything else is fine so far. (I still have a few boxes to unpack.). Frankly, I'm not sure if I needed more furniture pads or not, and they probably wouldn't have helped with the chair being upside down. I'm not a mover, but I'm thinking having it upside down put weight on the back rather than on the base of the chair, which is now causing it to sit funny. On the Eugene end the movers were amazing! Overall: I would totally use a U-Box and MovingHelp again. That service set you apart from U-Pack and Pods, which is why I chose you and it was totally worth it, even with the damaged chair. I got my things 4 days earlier than quoted! The total price is around 2K, and about half what my friend paid for a similar move using a full service company. It took them over 6 hours to pack a one bedroom (it should have taken 2-3) and now they are a week late and counting for her delivery. I thought I could trust U-haul to get my stuff where I needed it, and you proved me right. ¡Gracias!Marsue T.

Everyone throughout this whole moving process were extremely pleasant and helpful. Moving is not cheap but I will say that using the Uhaul pods were the best way to go. Nothing was broken, the drivers were so careful in loading/unloading the pods. I have one container full of canning jars (which we packed up carefully) and not one jar was broken. Would definitely recommend! Very happy customer!!!Charity I.

Make The web-site more useful, answer the damn phone in less than 20 minutes, let one hand know what the other is doing. I spent over 12 hours on-hold, on the phone , being re-directed and sent in a vicious phone circle because none of the people at the posted phone numbers could get any of the issues resolved. Be more responsive to customers that express a concern, have a problem or complaint about the service or the lack of service on your website. I had issues with the u-box order from day-one until it was delivered. I was thoroughly frustrated and completely dissatisfied with the lack of response from u-hauleric E.

Everyone I spoke to was fabulous and very helpful. One box wasn't here in the timeframe that was given to me, and I haven't heard about how to get the refund for those days yet.Shaloma T.
They employees were outstanding, but two issues were inconvenient; 1. In order to get our containers by June 10th, our uBoxes had to be packed and out of Medford on May 28th That meant we had no place to live for 13 nights. We had family nearby to stay with, but that is a serious failing of the program. 2. I had a bad experience with my first uMove contact, but no one through uhaul could help and all contacts were via chat or email ( the cell phone fir the first company was wrong and no one ever answered email). I also paid the first mover $249 and my follow up Jason and Jason movers in Keizer, OR) we're outstanding AND $40 cheaper. No refund. Though UMove operates as a subcontractor for you, the response should not be that it is a separate entity. It's under your umbrella, so you should have some say. That is, if not for your uMove program, I would have sought my own movers and had better more oersonal communication. Again, the company in Eugene was great, it was uMove that failed.Thomas E.
