There needs to be communication about why there's a delay in shipping the boxes containers. Plus, I don't want to be bounced around to multiple people explaining the same thing. You probably won't improve because...uhaul is gonna uhaul.Alan T.

I had way too many furniture pads and it was difficult to return them. When I FINALLY was able to return them it was 3 days and several hours of driving around. THEN they didn't note my account that I had returned the pads. It was over 4 calls and 2 hours of speaking with CSRs that could not help and getting passed around several times before I got a resolution - which was not fully sufficient, but as long as I don't get billed, I'll be OK with it.Shawn M.

Everybody was great at the Tampa office! We had 13 pods and they had to schedule them simultaneously because we can only have three in our driveway due to the homeowners association. They were terrific in working with rotating things in and out. Can't say enough about the gals who came to pick up and drop off they were both wonderful! My Ubox got held up for multiple days and no one was able to tell me what the issue was. It took 5 or 6 phone calls over multiple days to get confirmation of where my stuff was and when it would be delivered.Craig R.

This was a great way for us to move, moving with a van line truck would've been $8000 more expensive. And the nice thing about it is that you can unload at your own pace. We had a lot of pods, 13 to be exact, so we needed some time to be able to empty them so we kept rotating three or four pods every four days. And got the job done. We did hire workers in Vegas, and they showed up on time and we're very expedient. Overall has been a very very pleasant experience, everybody we've worked with on the phone as well as the drivers have all been wonderful it was a very smooth transaction which, when you're moving across the whole United States is a blessing, and we felt very safe, because we used our own locks and nothing was tampered with they kept track of the serial number on the boxes to make sure we knew which boxes would be coming so I never felt like her items were going to get lost in transit . I would do this if I had to move again, hopefully I won't be doing that anytime soon! And a special shout out to Alicia in Vegas, she kept track of everything and told us early that she was watching to make sure everything went the way it was supposed to - absolutely fabulous customer service you're the best!Maureen M.

This entire experience was a nightmare. From the day the box was returned to you after loading if it could go wrong it did. First you couldn't find the box, then you shipped it, but the person who asked for the keys didn't know that. It took many calls, hours in phone, including 3 times I had to call to get charges reversed that shouldn't have been made. The last one was after I removed my card and auto-pay. i was happy w the overall storage/transportation of the ubox and how after almost 6 months my items were safe and secure.... however i wasnt too pleased about the full months storage charge while the ubox was enroute for almost 2.5 weeks... 1410 for ubox transfer from city to city 99+ tax for at home drop AND an additional 100 for storage during transit???Joshua S.

Todd is a moron. He's the most ignorant individual on the planet earth! He can rot in the hell work environment he created. I can't say enough bad about Todd. Todd seems to use any lie, deceitful method, etc to achieve his own objectives over the customer's requests. If you fired Todd today I would still be mad at ubox for the next 5 years. Can't say enough good things about my experience with U-Haul on East Lake Ave Tampa, FL. Stacey was wonderful & incredibly helpful when my U-Boxes arrived in Dec 2021. She's a very professional lady but still has the ability to empathize with her customers. I had the same experience in Albany GA when I reserved my boxes. GM Rachael was very much like Stacey. Both are friendly outgoing ladies and should be recognized for their fantastic customer service & making the process of moving easier. As for the lady who delivered & picked up my u-boxes. U-Haul has an incredibly talented employee in Arelis Baez!!! Each time she came it was like seeing someone I had known for years. The way she handled that forklift & boxes was incredible. The neighbors were also in awe of her abilities. The trainee Sabre Teel couldn't have been paired with anyone better. Arelis was so friendly and caring and still very professional. We need more people like Rachael, Stacey & Arelis and hopefully Sabre will be just like them. I wish each of you ladies well in all you do. I feel like a connection was made with each one of you and I thank each of you for making things easier for me!! U-Haul take care of these 4 ladies. Trrrible experience furniture damaged cannot tell you how horrible move was. Moved a load of items that was to be trashed. Had to pay $200 to be removed from home. Workers smoked pot during breaks. Wanted more $ when finally moved.TERRIBLE MOVE. So Very very bad. Used extra crate. Had told 4 workers not to move items on shelfs and in front of them. 2xs POT i am sure caused problems. The driver for my container boxes (for delivery & pickup) was absolutely fantastic!! I think her name was Aurilias (spelled incorrectly). She could probably outmaneuver anyone loading & loading the boxes. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Overall, a very delightful lady. We need more like working with the public! I never went to the U-Haul location but my overall experience from VA to FL went very well and I received my goods much earlier than expected. U-Haul was the most affordable even though it was still expensive but everything worked out great regardless. I'm glad we went with you guys.Ledwin B.

This experience was inexcusable. When I originally started with Ubox it looked like uhaul was a much better solution than the other POD-shipment options. I moved to Florida and did not have a new address but know I would bein the Tampa area. When we finally were able to secure a home(not an easy thing in the Florida Real Estate Market), we attempted to arrange a drop off but were told that our new home was 'not in their area' and that we would need to arrange for private shipping to our new address. The people we spoke with were rude, un-accommodating, and unprofessional. We called our ubox team from our origination point (Crystal Lake Il), and they tried to help to no avail. That team was equally perplexed why the Tampa office was so difficult considering the distance from our home in Il to the UBOX store was nealry the same as our new address was from the Tampa office. This doesn't make sense why uhaul would behave like this. I would be delighted to speak with someone to further this conversation.jerome H.

You never answer the phone. I was given misinformation throughout my entire move which cost us literally thousands of unbudgeted dollars. This misinformation included not telling us that UHaul wouldn't deliver our boxes to our house 30 miles from their storage and a third party mover would be involved. They delivered each box one by one on the back of a minivan for $600. I will never use UHaul again for anything in my life. I strongly recommend going with any other company for your move. We chose UHaul as the initial estimate was the cheapest we found. With all of the hidden fees and mental stress we endured, any of the other companies that charge a bit more outright will surely do a better job than this pathetic excuse for a â€œcompanyâ€ could ever manage.Katherine B.

Cassie the delivery driver was amazingly nice and helpful. She is a super star for U-Haul. She said she would try and place the boxes any place possible and when she picked them up, she was willing to come back and get them earlier than scheduled. She is the nicest delivery person I've ever experienced....EVER!!!! James in Tampa was very helpful with allowing me to get my medical equipment out of one container. There was no attitude at all when I called and arranged early entrance to the containers. He was very workable. Lastly, Joe in the Conway, NH office was as good as the other two. He knew exactly what I needed and never pushed me to buy, buy, buy more. He's a class act!David M.

There was a logistical challenge picking up my containers, as they were dropped on a trailer instead of on the driveway directly. When the containers were picked up, the trailer gouged my concrete driveway. Otherwise, everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful.Brandon G.
They misrepresent the cost, even as you actually place your order/reservation and give them your credit card number. They WILL charge you more than they quoted you but they will not come clean about the charges until it comes time to charge them - they charge you at various stages of the process. Basically, assume that every possible charge you come across - whether or not they say you will pay it - WILL be charged to you. Add all of those possible costs to the quote they give you bc THAT total is a MUCH more accurate representation of the total you will pay. Customer Service LITERALLY DOES NOT EXIST for U-Box (no, you are not special - it will be the same for you). Once you place your order and give your credit card, you WILL NOT be able to contact anyone for information, updates, or to make changes. No, you CANNOT make changes on the website as they claim - you WILL be directed by the web site to CALL them. They DO NOT answer the phones for U-Box service (you cannot select other options bc the representative will tell you he/she cannot help you). The ONLY contact you have will be ONLY on their terms, when THEY want contact and they only email you. You will not speak to a person. You have to go to serious extremes, spending HOURS per attempt by calling repeatedly and waiting for 30 minutes or more each call before the call is disconnected [by them] or you have to hang up because you have something to do or your phone is dying or getting extremely hot, to actually speak with a person. I literally had spend a minimum of AT LEAST TWO HOURS of calling attempts per actual discussion with a U-Haul employee. They will inform you of ONLY the bare minimum information and keep you largely in the dark throughout the process. They WILL NOT give you a pickup/drop-off window smaller than 9 am - 4 pm (but they may not arrive until after 4:30, like I experienced). My box arrived at its destination (Tampa) on 7/24 ... they finally notified me of its arrival on 8/3 - unacceptable!!!! Then they kept saying they were going to deliver the box to my home and charge me a ridiculous sum to do so even after I, by an act of God/Congress, spoke with 2 people on 2 different days (it took HOURS to get to speak with a person, literally) to make crystal clear that I would be unloading my box at their storage facility instead. I felt it necessary to go to my bank and place a restriction against U-Haul charging my card any further bc they just did not want to accept that I did not want the box delivered to my home. Also, understand that the pads/blankets they provide you must be returned or they will charge you $6 per ... bc they re-use them! Luckily, I did return them but you should be aware of this. Also, your pads are not new and have not been washed or cleaned in any way. They simply shake them out, refold and repackage them, and put them in your box for you to drape all over your household goods and sentimental belongings. You have NO IDEA where your pads have been and what they have previously been exposed to (dirt, oil, caustic chemicals, urine, dog poop, etc...). If I ever do another long distance move, I WILL NOT use a U-Box again. I will pay more for a better experience with a competitor - its worth the greater confidence, reduced stress, better timeliness, better customer service and greater level of respect (U-Haul refusing to speak with you once you place your order/reservation). I suggest you do the same. IF YOU DOUBT ANY OF THIS, CHECK THE NUMEROUS ONLINE CONSUMER REVIEWS (LIKE MOVEBUDDHA.COM OR MOVE.COM FOR EXAMPLE) - I DOUBTED THEM BUT NOW I CAN VOUGE FOR THEIR ACCURACY.Tim K.

The customer service received when trying to get information regarding when my boxes would arrive to its final location was by the far the worst. Let's begin by sharing that my boxes were transferred from Tampa to Lafayette on time. On the day they were to be delivered to Baton Rouge, no communication was had regarding when they would be delivered. When I called customer service I was transferred more than 4 times to different areas of the country-each time the rep attempted to assist by calling the manager of the store who could provide details-to no avail. I spent Saturday, July 31st on the phone all day-a total of 5 hours to be exact. I didn't receive any confirmation on what was going on with my shipment until 8pm when an associate was able to share that the manager had never returned their call. Sunday, August 1 I began my morning callingâ€¦to no avail! I spent over 4 hours on the phone being transferred, again, to different areas of the country that could not provide answers to my questions. On Monday, August 2nd I spent 2 additional hours that morning awaiting response. During that time, Courtney, called me to inform me that they wouldn't be able to deliver the boxes until Tuesday due to the forklift being broken. When asked why wasn't this communicated she stated â€œI was in Lake Charles, I guess no one calledâ€. I was then informed I would be scheduled for first thing in the morning-my boxes weren't delivered until after 1pm. Now let's discuss picking up the boxes. Boxes were scheduled for pick up Thursday, August 5th. I get a call on Wednesday to be told boxes wouldn't be picked up until Monday, August 9th because the truck needed repair. I can understand things unexpectedly happening however, my issue is the lack of your staff to communicate when they made a mistake. Courtney was scheduled to be in Lake Charles on Saturday, July 31st. Why on earth would UHaul promise to deliver my boxes on that date of their delivery driver wasn't available. Furthermore, why would they not consider communicating their schedule mishap. I sprint TWO whole days on the phone with no actual confirmation on what occurred. Interestingly enough UHaul wasn't late in taking the delivery fee even though my delivery was FOUR. DAYS. LATE! I am still awaiting for someone to call me to at least apologize for my experience. I chose UHaul because it was affordable and I trusted they would deliver in their commitment. I will NEVER choose Uhaul again and will never recommend them.Rufus R.

It was a vey uneventful experience. The uhaul container was ready for us to fill at the storage facility when we were told to bring our goods. It was under an awning, which was important as it was raining. Then I was able to schedule delivery when we would be at the destination. The box arrived on the day we were told ..
