I've used UBox twice before and have never had issues but I had a poor experience coordinating my UBox delivery in Seattle. Specific complaints are below: -I wasn't told about the requirement to get a city street use permit until 24 hours before my UBox was already scheduled to be delivered. This should've been communicated when I called to schedule my UBox delivery, which was at least a week in advance. -I had a very unpleasant experience with one of the representatives when I tried to move my assigned delivery window from 9am-12pm to later in the day (because I wouldn't physically be in Seattle until 12pm and had to show my permit to the delivery driver). She yelled at me and was unwilling to offer any possible solutions. I was then called later (after I already changed the time my movers were coming to unload) to be told I had been moved to a 1pm - 4pm slot. This was less than 24 hours before my scheduled move. I had to then switch my movers back on short notice. -I was told that despite getting a 1pm - 4pm delivery window, it would be okay to have my movers come at 3:30pm (their only available slot on such short notice). My UBox was finally delivered at 4:05pm (AFTER the delivery window). My movers were here waiting for over 30 minutes. Overall, I was really disappointed by the poor communication, last-minute changes, and customer service at this location. Like I said, I've used UBox twice before (in NYC and Durham, NC) and had no issues. This time, UBox made my move significantly more stressful than it needed to be.

We signed up for the contactless free option but we were forced to go inside to be handed the keys due to no code for the box outside. No one was inside the store and we waited 18 minutes for an employee to come inside. They asked if we had been helped and we advised no. So they went outside to tell the 3 other employees that we were waiting, and it took an additional 5 minutes for them to come in, rudely speak to us, and then hand us keys off the wall. I tried to avoid this location due to the poor reviews, but all other locations were booked and rescheduled me here.. twice. Don't go here unless you're desperate.

I found the nearly all female staff to be very helpful and efficient, especially the delivery drivers. Keep hiring women. They seem to be better at this line of work than the males, and I am a male.

I rented a storage box from another company three years ago. During that time, they closed and my stuff was transferred to UHAUL which worked fine until it came time to get my stuff out of storage. It has been a HORRIBLE experience with the worst customer service. When I made the reservation, they contracted the job out to "Moving Help" which then contracted it out to a local mover. Trying to get any information or any help from UHAUL, Moving Help, or this local company has been one frustration after another. Box wasn't delivered on time. Box wasn't picked up on time. Based on this experience, I would NEVER recommend UHAUL for long term storage.

The process for getting a permit in Seattle to drop the Ubox was so complicated and frustrating. Add to that the fact that I needed to coordinate renting barricades so I was completely overwhelmed and stressed. Uhaul of Kent has stellar customer service reps! They were so patient and helpful every step of the way. Most importantly, they were able to get my Ubox picked up before my permit expired. I spoke with Kelly a couple of times and she was able to work magic. Sherry dropped and picked up the Ubox and she was also amazing. Their team is incredibly appreciated!

I received an email stating my ubox has arrived and when I called the same day to schedule the delivery, a staff member stated that the email was incorrect and my box was not there. 4 days later I call and a different person tells me my box has been there since the last time I called! delivery is scheduled and I call the next day just to verify and they tell me it is being delivered 3 days early. Long story short, it was never being delivered early so I missed work for no reason and had to go even long without my goods. I have never been more frustrated or dicked around by a customer service team than the one in Kent, WA. The pickup was seamless in CA and I had nothing but problems in WA. Although, the lady (Yolanda?) who delivered the box was an angel and I'm very grateful for her.

Despite having had to drive to pick up a truck from a different location I was actually charged for additional mileage. If anything my rate should have been discounted for all the hassle and time.

We had 3 orders for UBoxes. The first 2, we were given a drop off date (of the empty boxes) by the order taker. On both occasions this date was changed to a later date, by UHaul. By the 3rd order, we adjusted for this but that one was delivered when promised. I'm sure they were just overwhelmed, but it was stressful. Other than that, it was a good way to move across the country and pack on our own schedule. Everything arrived at the destination on time and was delivered to us promptly.

The only complaint I have us the 40 minute wait times on the phone whenever I needed to call the WA site. I got to where I planned for it, though, so I multi-tasked while waiting. Occasionally I got right through. Otherwise, it was a good experience to use the UBoxes for our move to AZ.

One of my UBoxes (from Hayward, CA) was obviously stored outdoors, or at lthe very least not climate-controlled. Everything was moldy, even the inside of the box. Also, they punched a hole in it with a forklift. I had to throw away 95% of the contents. I took photos of everything and will file a claim with the insurance co.pany. My other UBox (from Kent, WA) was completely fine.

Overall the experience and team were great. Equipment worked well, however, the truck was so LOUD I could not hear the radio or my son speaking. In fact, people would turn and look at us as we drove by. That truck needs some work.

I had screws left on my ubox when it were delivered at my house. Luckily I borrowed toolbox from somebody to be able to unscrew and access to my belonging. Otherwise, my toolbox was inside of ubox that screw was left over, and there was no way for me to access anything.

U-Haul guaranteed that the van and location I had ordered would be available after I received confirmation. That was not the case here. Instead there was a last minute bate a switch. I had reserved the van at one location, only to find out when I went to pick it up that I needed to go to another location. This location was further out of my way which cost my an additional ~$15 in mileage fees. I will certainly be exploring alternates to UHaul in the future.

There was a lot of miscommunication. My inbox was supposed to go right from my old address to my new address and instead it went to storage so we didnt have our furniture for much longer than anticipated. When I finally figured out it went to storage they told me they were too booked to feel the box to me soon. They scheduled a day for delivery then called the day of to cancel. The worst part was Everytime I called the store it was hit or miss if anyone would pick up the phone. I won't use that service again

I was “guaranteed” delivery August 27,2020. Uhaul switch my “Guaranteed Arrival date” to September 5, 2020 without notifying me. I had to complete a CAF in order to elevate my issue to even get my Ubox picked up from Kent because originally the driver forgot my container. I spoke to the area GM, Grant who did not care that a Ubox was forgotten and informed me that it was an inconvenience and that is why they offer $50/day beyond the original “guaranteed delivery date.” Grant essentially admitted he did not care about customer satisfaction or making any attempt to correct the problem since their underwriting states the daily overage refund. This is baffling... After a couple of hours trying to get something figured out with Grant, a driver was finally located and loaded my Ubox for shipment to GA. Once it finally arriver Sept 2nd, I spent days trying to convince the TCM in GA, Byron, to deliver it sooner. Uhaul informed me their truck was down for maintenance and would need to load the Ubox on a trailer. This was fine because it meant we would have our Ubox delivered “sooner.” We had our Ubox delivered to our storage unit in Canton. Two days after unloading the Ubox, I received a call from the storage facility stating the Ubox was still on the premises and threatened tow. Another inconvenience as I had to contact TCM Byron to rush and pick up trailer they seemed to have forgotten about. Overall, I was not pleased with any part of this Ubox experience and will not be using them in the future when we move internationally.

HORRIBLE customer service. I was lied to about a credit I was supposed to have, never got it. I was not informed of additional charges. (Conveniently left out of the conversation) and one of my containers was screwed shut for whatever reason we were not informed about. Final pick up was late and rescheduled 3 times. Once was gonna be at 10pm! That would have woken the whole neighborhood up. Unacceptable! I was spoken to rudely! I will never use Uhaul again ever and I'm STILL waiting for a call back from management or corporate that I was promised!

Please figure out your customer service versus scheduling desk process. Repeatedly, I would have a confirmed reservation and then get rescheduled 1-2 hours later. This makes it impossible to plan! Also, I waited on hold for over 3 hours in total. Generally, awful customer service. Lastly, I went in to complain and was told I would get a reduction in the cost of my move, and I was never given the promised reduction. This was promised by BRETT GROVER and KYLE MARVIN. It is very unfortunate because I have a lot of moving to do in the upcoming months and I likely will not use UHAUL due to this absolutely horrific experience.

Website doesn't clearly state the second day of rental is at double the cost of a 1 day rental. Also, the CSR should make it clear that if you are 1 minute late returning the equipment you will be charged for another day. We ere told to return the vehicle by noon, which we did. Since the rental term started around 11, we were charged.

My ratings include my experience with U-Haul overall. This was a terrible experience and I am still disputing that I was charged TWICE. Customer service was terrible, unhelpful, received incorrect and misleading information. Spent HOURS on the phone to get no help and I will never use this company again.

When reserving a truck,first make sure that truck is in fact available!!! Make sure Ubox is on trailer right direction!! Do not charge customer full month rent when Ubox is returned empty the day before due date of monthly rent!!! Worst company ever. I do not recommend Uhaul!!!

While my goods arrived safely, the front door to one of the containers had clearly been smashed, which broke the lock and forced me to get some bolt cutters. It was also clear that the hinge had come off, allowing anyone to have had access to the container, which was somewhat troubling.

I was never offered furniture pads with my UBox. This rental was an ABSOLUTE disaster. We have opened a complaint file. Now the North Dakota UHaul President, Shawn, is dodging my phone calls and emails. I will NEVER rent from UHaul again and I am taking to social media to tell EVERYONE I know to never use your service, I will also be contacting the Better Business Bureau since we seem to be getting ignored.

Everyone I interacted with at Uhaul for this whole five-month moving experience was wonderful. It started in early March (pre-pandemic) when I was making arrangements to rent a Ubox or two to move my stuff from Colorado to Washington. It ended a couple of days ago when my box was delivered to my new house in Seattle. In between my box was safely stored in a warehouse nearby. I visited it twice during those four months to fetch things. Everything was always easy peasy with Uhaul. Thank you!!!

Even though I didn't officially have to be home when the driver came, I needed to be there because we have a locked gate and unusual access to our property. The shipping end of the U-box went very well and the Kent team was very communicative. However, on the receiving side there were major issues with communication, delays, and customer service. The day prior to my delivery I found out through the website that there was a 4 day delay in my delivery despite the “delivery guarantee”. When I called the 8 E Oregon Ave location in Philadelphia the rep there told me “guarantees are only guaranteed unless something happens” and told me I had been notified of the delay on 7/20 per a “note in the system”. I never received a call, voicemail, or email alerting me to the delay. He however refused to understand this and persisted in telling me I had been notified. Furthermore he lead me to believe my Ubox had been delivered to Philadelphia and that the home delivery was the only thing delayed. As such I made alternate plans to pick up my belongings onsite and forego home delivery. However, after speaking with customer service it became clear my box hadn't been delivered to PA. I called the 8 E Oregon spot again and the same representative was again unhelpful and ultimately hung up on me when I was trying to figure out where my box was. After a 2 day delivery delay to PA, I picked up my belongings onsite with a rented truck. I used some of the blankets to load my items and explained this to the customer service rep there. I asked if I could return the blankets to the location I was returning the Uhaul truck (closer to my home). She said there was no way to do this and I would have to bring them back to their location. I asked again if there was any way to drop them off closer as trucks can be dropped off at multiple locations and as she walked away from me she said “do whatever you want, we will just charge you”. Only after I was able to speak to Alicia, was she able to help with the drop off of the blankets at a separate location. The customer service on the Washington end was excellent and everything was on time on that end. The customer service in Philadelphia was terrible and significantly affected my cross country move.

Myself as well as other customers were extremely irritated. no mileage on rental agreement, sat 2-3" low on right side, creeked and popped. I had no choice, but to use unit.

The person who delivered and picked up our U boxes at bothl locations was fantastic, as were all other aspects of the transaction.
