This was hands down the worst customer experience I have ever had. The communication was terrible. I was told many different things that contradicted each other, everyone just kept saying they can't help and transferring me. I started recording my conversations half way through as I am considering filing a lawsuit for emotional damages. Just from where I started keeping track, your people lied or miss-represented the truth 12 times, I spent over 6 hours on hold in total between the calls, and was hung up on 4 times. It was an absolute nightmare. I will never use u-haul again.CHARLES G.
Incredibly smooth move across the country from MA to WA!!! Had movers load the Uhaul boxes in MA and different movers unload in WA and all went well. Highly recommend the Uhaul boxes as pick up from their staff, follow through and ongoing communication during the transport, and final destination all was A+Debra D.
The experience was poor from the moment I booked the boxes. Uhaul has very poor logistics planning for the boxes that doesn't allow for one to control the end to end experience. The delivery date for final destination cannot be provided till after your boxes are pick back up loaded and taken back to the facility. This is a loss of days on the per month rental price you pay as well as prevent from pre-planning as a customer. Once they are picked up you waste hours of your time waiting on hold to speak with someone to try and arrange delivery. Then their booked out for delivery weeks in advance so again you are paying storage cost with no control. Once they final arrange delivery, after more hours of trying to speak with a logistics person, they couldn't honor their commitments due to driver shortages, again at the cost of the customer who is paying monthly storage fees. It was also my experience they would adjust dates for deliveries at their convenience and you would again spend hours trying to speak with a logistics specialist if you were available for their adjustments. I will never use Uhaul again. This is the second move I've used UBoxes and the faced nothing but problems. The debacle of if they would or wouldn't deliver my box to my new address went upper management because nobody would give me a straight answer. I have, no joke, talked to a minimum of 25 reps and spent HOURS in a queue only to be told they needed to transfer me and either disconnect me or send me to the wrong person and I'm back in the queue. Like, I have been in so many circles I'm dizzy. I finally get a person on the horn who knows what's up and looks at the notes and literally says "Oh my gosh. I am SO sorry. This is a MESS!" And she is the only person who has made shit happen. Her name was Kaylin and she is the only person I worked with whoever deserves a job. DO BETTER, UHAUL!Jenn M.
- Moving your box safely, in a timely manner = 5 stars - Making changes to your orders, communication and support = 1 star Overall, U-Haul is reliable and cost-effective, I had give my stuff to them more confidently than an unknown trucking firm because they have locations all over the country. My U-box was safely picked up and delivered in 2 weeks time which is great. However was some serious lack of communication between UHaul and Moving Help. Though it both appear like one website, they are two different companies and software systems so when I made changes to my order, it only updated the Uhaul center and not the mover. I waited all day for my box, and the movers never showed up. They had their calendar scheduled for only 2 days later. Just make sure if you do any changes, that both UHaul and Moving Help are both updated correctly. UHaul must improve the integration, and make this process more seamless rather than having me make 100s of phone calls to coordinate between the movers and the Uhaul center.Vignesh D.

Improve customer service. The staff did not communicate well with one another. We spoke with a number of reps when trying to schedule delivery and pickup. Delivery and Pickup times were canceled without proper notice. Would not recommend using the U-boxes.Jen W.

Our UHaul delivery to home could not be scheduled inspite of calling several times in advance. We were told that we'll get our stuff after 6 to 8 weeks if we would like to schedule a delivery by U-Haul truck , as their trucks were all booked out in advance. We had to pay several 100s of dollars to a third-party to tow our U-Box from U-Haul location to our home, as it was 30 miles away. We live right in the middle of prime city, and they did not agree to even drop the U-Box to nearest U-Haul location. I would not have booked the service if I knew at the end we'll end up paying extra out of pocket for getting the Box to our home location.Vartika G.

The experience overall was fine. Was disappointed that it took a week from dropping off until it finally shipped. Once I called to arraigned for pick up, they never mentioned a reservation, just that I needed to be at facility before closing. Once I arrived one hour prior to closing I was told I needed an appointment. Luckily the assistant (John), was nice enough to get my container. Had it not been for John, I would have waisted money renting a vehicle to pick up my possessions, and more importantly waisted my time. Thank you John.Dakin W.
Honestly this was a really stressful experience. First, the people picking up the box and bringing to my husband called and said the order had been cancelled, then called and said it had not. We paid the moving fee and it was refunded to our account. We paid it again closer to the moving date. When the Box was here in Henderson, the person moving it went to the wrong place to get it. The employee at the wrong location called to advise it hadn't been paid and was on hold. This is after we paid it for the second time. I called and got through to someone who said it needed to be released. Also my husband would call phone numbers provided in emails and be on hold for long periods of time just to get confirmation of pick up and delivery. Yes we got our things and they were safely delivered but the moving help was really frustrating to deal with at an already stressful time. I think it would be in your best interest to review who you associate with and address what you expect from your partners.LAUREN ELIZABETH R.

This has been a horrible experience getting uhaul to follow through on their commitments. Its been over a month and still can't get my uboxes from uhaul. Still haven't received a refund for the uboxes that were not used. All i continue to get from uhaul reps are empty promises that things will be taken care of and they never follow through. I have to then spend hours waiting on hold to get someone new only to have to explain the situation over to a new person just to get more empty promises or pointed in another direction.Andrew W.

The UBox containers arrived on the date that they were supposed to arrive at the Ubox facility. However, there was a guaranteed delivery date of two days later and I was told via emailed instructions to call when I was notified that the UBox had arrived to schedule the dropoff to my apartment. I called and was told that I could not have my container with my belongings delivered until three weeks later, I could tow the UBox myself (with my Honda Civic?), I could hire Moving Help to do it and pay a minimum of $2,000 for it, or I could rent a truck, empty the box, and then drive it to my building on my own. I would also need to coordinate all of this for myself and then keep UHaul informed, implying that UHaul does not handle logistics, but does make things difficult for the customer. The entire reason for using the UBox was the convenience, which just wasn't there. I ended up having to pay around $200 and spend hours of my time renting a truck from a different location, driving in city traffic, and moving my stuff out of the Ubox and then out of the truck. I will not be using UHaul again. There is no excuse for paying high prices for convenience and then not having the convenience that I paid for.Jared C.

Grant at the Kent, WA UHaul was most helpful when picking up and returning my last UBox that was still being stored from a move in August 2020.PAMELA K.
The stuff in Kent location was very rude. Also, Customer service is very hard to reach at. Waiting times in the call center is very long and website is not user friendly. Everytime something happens you need to call instead of doing it online by yourself and wait in the line at least 20 min. Although my stuff arrived safely on time, I wouldnt recommend ubox service to anyone bc of the customer service.Seda S.

Truck rental was dirty inside. Invoicing was wrong; was charged for 2 days of rental and CDW when I specified I would return within 4 hours and I did. U-Haul service has gone down WAY DOWNHILL over the years. A few years ago I was charged a bogus $175 damage assessment even though I caused no damage to the truck. Now I wash your crappy rentals every time to ensure I don't incur some bullshit cleaning fee or fake damage fees. You're making your customers scared instead of creating a great customer service experience. Your dispute process is bullshit as well. Stop trying to screw people over and just DO BUSINESS WELL. You're the next Comcast. I'm renting from somewhere else going forward, because your business model is jacked up.Pavel G.

Your phone wait queue is absolutely terrible, on several occasions I was on hold for over an hour. Additionally, my ubox arrived in my destination a week early, but had to sit there because you don't have enough drivers to meet delivery needs. Finally, the total cost was 35% over the initial quoted cost from "hidden" fees like monthly storage. I will be recommending my friends and family NEVER use your service.Jesse P.
It took close to a month for me to get my things, and there was no way for me to change my delivery date. When my box was picked up I received an email saying I had until May 17th to access it because it would be shipped in the 17th, didn't get shipped until like the 25th. The driver who picked up our pods, Yolanda was very rude and a dangerous driver. She did not reassure us that our items would be safely cared for. She hit the pods pretty hard with her forklift and refused to let us take note of the pod numbers. (The barcode in the clear window was partially torn off.) Had no problems with pick up and delivery. This location called me the day before my scheduled pickup date to confirm the date and time which was really great. However, the corporate customer service line (not specific to this location) needs some adjusting. I was on hold for over 2 hours on multiple occasions. While the customer service representatives I spoke to were very kind and tried to be as helpful as possible, they were still unable to resolve my issue on that same phone call. The process of requesting the Ubox's to be pulled for access needs some work. Both times I called over 24 hours in advance and requested them pulled. When we got to the location, they had not been notified both times to pull them. When we got there they advised if they were behind other ubox's accessing them that day wouldn't be possible. We took days off of work both days for moving. This needs to be fixed, luckily we were able to get them accessed.Alicia M.

I think you guys did a good job. The whole experience of having my things on the other side of the country was odd, and there were time zone issues, but everything got resolved and my stuff arrived. While I'm happy my stuff arrived, This is one of the worst logistics experiences I've had, will not be recommending u-box. - I booked online in advance of the move, things seemed okay. During booking One of the destination delivery operators in austin listed seemed to have an unreasonably low price and we're on the opposite side of town, didn't use them. - About a week after booking, visited the u-haul Interbay location listed for doing u-box. They said they dont do ubox and I need to call u-haul to figure out logistics again. This then required me to pay a origin delivery fee (for loading the ubox). - Thought after calling u-haul a week earlier and clearly uploading pictures thered be no problem getting the box. On loading day they didn't even have me on their schedule, I had to make sure I called u-haul first thing the morning of loading day. - at destination, Delivery was delayed, ubox sat for 6 days. Not a big deal but got no notification of what the final empty box pickup day was until calling them. Learned only after calling again was delays then due to a truck being down. Overall, I think uhaul is going to be mediocre on this side of business compared to dedicated box shipping businesses.vivek G.
