The boxes were originally scheduled to arrive Saturday 1/11, but they never made it and I didn't get a call even explaining that they weren't going to make it until the following Monday. Other than that, they did a great job getting the boxes dropped off even when there was snow in my area. I appreciated their communication around the drop time.

This box was never removed from my name in Michigan, I have nothing to do with Washington!!!! I have been in contact with uhaul multiple times. It was supposed to be resolved in December. I had to get my bank involved for fraudulent activity because my credit card keeps getting charged by uhaul.

I called a few times for price quotes, as I was shopping around ahead of time and figuring out timing. Once I ordered my boxes I had a confirmation/reservation number. And yet I kept getting called about those other price quotes. I’m not sure if there’s a way to fix this, but it was bothersome.

The whole U Box experience was unclear an confusing. Everyone I spoke with at U Haul seemed unfamiliar with the service and couldn't answer my questions. (Can you deliver a box up a driveway?) I got random calls and texts from corporate that didn't correspond to my order. Overall, it was confusing and somewhat frustrating.

Thanks to U-Haul of Kent which no doubt is the BEST ONE I have ever been dealing with. Compare with other U-Haul stores I gave only 1 or 2 stars before, U-Box of Kent is entitled to a 6-7 star rating. Strong recommend this one for everyone's future moving.

Kent end was wonderful. Did as they said they would. Staff was knowledgeable and courteous. Gave prompt, heads ups for service times for UBox drop off and pick up. I can’t say the same for the Hudson valley, NY team who were late, gave out misinformation, were unhelpful, redirected me to customer service over and over, who redirected me to specific Hudson Valley team members, specifically Jamie the marketing manager for the area. In 3+ weeks i received a single voicemail from her as a result from 10+ calls. Pathetic. And after all my hassle, a got a very small % off my bill. Thanks a ton for the hassle. At least Kent, WA knows what they’re doing i guess.

My overall comments are not on the location or personnel...it is with U-Haul's policies and procedures. When checking in, we had to check the equipment ourselves. The attendant just took our payment. We turned the vehicle in after hours and were charged $21.80. Ridiculous! This is the 2nd time we have rented a U-Haul in a month and not pleased overall.

The local staff in Kent were great about keeping me updated. My issue is with how Uhaul as a company tracks their Uboxes. Our boxes were late, and up until two days after the "guaranteed" delivery date the online portal still listed the date that had passed. When I called the main Uhaul number the people I spoke to seemed to have no further information than I did. Uhaul should keep in better contact with the carriers, or give their staff the ability to track the location of the boxes. It was frustrating and difficult to schedule moving help without knowing the actual date of arrival.

They need to check the truck for exhaust leak. My friend my spouse got sick. You can smell fumes in the cab. It even should like a exhaust leak. I told the rep that checked me back in and did do anything. Please check that truck out. I will file a case and make sure you cover my medical bills

We reserved a dolly along with the 9' van. When we got there, they said there was no dolly available and they didn't have any at that location. U-Haul needs to fix their online reservation system to prevent people from reserving things that aren't available! So disappointing.

I'm floored by the level of customer service from this location. So thrilled that they were able to deliver my ubox on time even when they had a truck break down. They were communicative about the situation the whole time and really hustled to make sure I had my belongings, which meant a lot because I'd been without them for a couple weeks due to my hectic moving schedule. Thanks so much to Shelley, Helen, and James! You're all superstars.

You system for placing Ubox orders, updating orders and making arrangements with moving help is terrible. If someone asks for a quote the information in the quote should be saved in your system so the customer can call back to book without having to start all over. Also the system for hiring and scheduling all inclusive moving help is terrible, your system should allow the customer to review the moving company options online and not over the phone with an uninterested customer service rep. I selected "Won't Stop Moving" to handle delivery and unpacking of my Uboxes in Seattle based on what Uhaul's rep told me about the company and they were terrible. One of the crew members Paul, is unprofessional and rushed to get the job done. He broke two of my pieces of furniture because of poor decisions he made to move my items and he didn't listen when I asked him to slow down and to handle my furniture carefully. Then he took off with my last Ubox without saying a word to me. I would never reccomend this company to move anyone's items. Also, your system for payments is terrible. I had to speak to customer service reps several times regarding problems with payment processing and they didn't bill me properly for my rental and the morning of my Ubox delivery they called me to get payment information for $5 trailer rental even though my card was already on file and I had called the day before to confirm delivery of Uboxes. The uboxes themselves were great but the customer experience with ordering/updating and making arrangements is terrible. I would not reccomend Uboxes to people based on my experience, it was very stressful and difficult working with customer service/order systems. The reps at Uhaul Kent were friendly and professional but the system for managing client orders is beyond their control and terrible for the client experience. Christopher Neal of Don't Stop Moving did his best to resolve the issue with my broken furniture but it doesn't change the fact that my items are damaged and his crew is to blame for that. I would not use them again or recommend them.

The experience was horrible and I will never use again. The boxes not only arrived 3 days late, but they told us that they were getting delivered as scheduled and told us the boxes had arrived in the warehouse already, when they weren't even at the warehouse yet. The customer service and the shipping locations need to be able to communicate better so they can provide the correct information to the customer. This needs to improve!!! Also the boxes are very wobbly and makes it hard to close the locks. The boxes should be made of metal instead of flimsy 1/2" plywood.

U-Haul provided my movers with my home location as the pick-up location for my U-Box instead of the U-Box storage facility. Even more frustrating, U-Haul loaded my U-Box incorrectly on the trailer so the door was facing forward and could not open fully. Very disappointing, basic mistake.

I was recommended 1 ubox for a studio apartment and needed to pick up a second ubox because I wasn’t even close to fitting. Also, I was overcharged twice during the move. First, I was charged for an extra moving service that I did not receive. Second, I was charged rent on both uboxes after I emptied and returned the boxes. 2 months later I still have not received a refund from the moving company. Uhaul said they could not help because the charge came through Movinghelp.com. Movinghelp said they couldn’t help because the charge came through Uhaul and the movers already received the funds. I am frustrated by how much work it is taking to get the money refunded after it was charged incorrectly. Customer service has been great and the women who delivered and picked up my uboxes in Seattle was fantastic. If the incorrect charges never occurred, I would be super happy with the experience.

Seriously your internal workflow must suck. You've gotta do some internal audits or something. You guys managed to let an empty box ship, try to make me pay for it after I called and reminded you not to ship the empty box at least three times. Then hold me up from opening my box for two whole hours as they try to find who can release me from the empty box shipping charge. THEN, AGAIN a MONTH LATER I have to get you guys to refund me for charging me for rent for THE EMPTY BOX. Again I call to get it refunded and it takes another three calls to get resolved over 5 days. I'm just stupified how much time I wasted on the phone with you guys and how you managed to FAIL to get the job done every 2 out of 3 times I called. EVERY call was either "Oh I can't do that for you but my manager (or someone out of reach) can. Let me have him/her call you in an hour once it's resolved." or "Oh it's done have a nice day" both resulting in me not getting a call and it not getting done. The people I talked to we're pretty nice on customer support. The people in the stores were sometimes good so I don't think it was too much of their fault. I mostly just think your whole system/IT must be a leaky back of shit.

If the containers won't be able to arrive on-time at least communicate so as soon as you realize so (mine had not even been shipped out of the origin point by the "guaranteed arrival date"). Then it's been over 10 days, and no notice of how or when I will get payed for the delay.

Extremely difficult to get people on the phone to answer questions. I would get transferred to people that had no idea about the wear a-bouts of my stuff. I waisted hours on hold. It’s hard to get the right person on the phone with accurate information. Very frustrating

Your location in Riverwest Milwaukee was abysmal. Out box sat there for 4 days and no one told us it was there. One of the employees started to screen our calls and would not ick up when we would try to call- sending us to the corporate number. I know because we tried calling several times from my partner’s number and were sent to corporate and I immediately tried to call from a different number and the u haul employee picked up on the first ring. I am already in the process of complaining to corporate. As it stands right now I would never use U-Haul for moving ever again and I would tell all my friends and family not to as well- I already told my parents not to use them for a move they were considering using u-haul for.

Based on my overall experience with Uhaul moving from Arizona to Washington, I would not recommend using Uhaul to anyone i know. Uhaul of Kent was the only bright part of our move. They were perfect.
