Communicate with your customers make sure they understand there are multiple delivery charges it's not one flat fee for delivery and the range you deliver to. This was the worst moving experience because of you guys. And you didn't call to schedule pick up for my 4 boxes you guys just showed up and didn't bother telling me you we're taking my pods let alone did the drivers acknowledge me when I came outside. Using UHaul Box to move to North Carolina from California made it super easy. The box arrived on time in California and it was super easy to ask for more time to load our stuff before the pick up. Our things arrived all safe with nothing broken! I highly recommend UHaul Box for moving.Tina M.
Everything was excellent. Want to especially recognize the delivery driver who delivered and picked up the containers. Her name escapes me but she was wonderful with her helpfulness and professionalism. Also, the 3rd party Easy Pro (Andrew and Kevin) that delivered our containers in Bozeman, MT were great. They were efficient and took care in unloading and placing items in our home. Highly recommend Easy Pro and trust they will continue to be a valued partner to U-Haul.Patricia L.

You guys were great both at the Hayward location and the Casper Wyoming location. You delivered on time and everything was intact. Would recommend using this service to anyone moving, IF you don't have too large of items. Working with Uhaul was the easiest part of this cross country move.Carmel M.

need more transparency in pricing. Better summary of charges. More clarity on how and when services will be charged. Agents should also be more aware of how charges are calculated. You should honor quotes, as one of your agents said, "we do not honor quotes."Margaret L.

I am very laid back person and I do not remember the last time I complained about something but God this U-Box was worst thing I ever did in my life. Such a disaster customer service.specifically your online and on call customer service! I will never ever do any business with u-haul if I have to do it online. The woman driver that delivered our boxes in Walnut Creek was on-time. She negotiated our rather long, steep driveway and skillfully placed the boxes exactly where i asked. on pickup day, again she was on-time. She really knows how to drive that "Donkey". On the received end in Victor, MT Nic was easy to work with. He and his helper were very efficient in placing all our items where we asked. It was a pleasure to work with them. I would HIGHLY recommend your services to anyone that asked. You should be very proud of your system. Getting logistics right during Covid can only happen when you have the right info at the right time and customer focused personnel. Thank you again for making this as stress free as possible. 2 Uboxes delivered with 12 pads each, 24 total, as stated in the Uhaul At Your door Ubox brochure. Contract continued to say 48 pads incorrectly. Gauranteed delivery, or $50/day penalty, on Sunday 8/22. Not delivered despite hours and hours on the phone with various Uhaul people, all of whom said it was to be there between 12 and 4PM. Delivery occurred on Monday, but even before being contacted to schedule I was billed the $159 Sunday delivery charge. I expect to receive the $50 penalty plus receiving $60 back on the delivery, which was ton a weekday at the $99 rate.robert M.

Your company charges me $2710 7 days early which resulted in me having no money for several days while I awaited the transfer that was supposed to cover the cost. NO ONE was available to fix the issue until Monday. You could potential ruin my life on a Saturday but no one cared until Monday. Absolutely pathetic customer service from your pathetic company. I will NEVER use Uhaul again and suggest others find alternative companies as well.Chris W.
Too bad your driver wouldn't deliver my containers to my address. I had to hire movers to unload the containers into their own big ass truck. They did the drive, took the corners, made the delivery, and cost me an extra $1700. Thanks, but your driver who refused the delivery can suck it. Screw that person.Rob L.

Donna, who manages the Ubox deliveries in the Northern Colorado region went above and beyond in helping me set up delivery for my box in Boulder, CO. She stayed on the phone with me for at least an hour and was SO helpful. She made my experience with Uhaul a very positive one!brooke A.
The entire move went smoothly. U-Haul communicated well and often about the process. Container was delivered on time and put where requested. Pick up was smooth. Everything arrived in tact in my new location and again, U-Haul communicated very well with all the info needed.Rebecca G.
This was the worst moving experience I have ever had. Uhaul says to allow 16 days for the Ubox to arrive, so I planned for that. Instead, my Ubox arrived 11 days late. I called so many times, I managed to get ahold of the shipping line and they were actually helpful, this person tracked down my Ubox and told me exactly where it was. I don't understand why Uhaul would take on more rentals and shipments if they cannot make the guaranteed delivery date. People rely on their belongings, I had to sleep on the floor for a month, I couldn't get settled in my new house for almost three weeks. This was completely ridiculous and unacceptable. The only solace I received during this time was knowing that I would receive a small compensation for the delay, as well as documenting this hostage situation on tiktok and making other people aware of the horrors that will await them if they chose to move with Uhaul.Natalie A.
We loved the convenience of the U-box as well as the condition everything arrived in. However, the guaranteed date is subject to change as our boxes were still at the original location the day we were supposed to receive them. our box arrived 2 weeks late. The door was so damage it apparently fell off and was strapped back on. Our stuff was damaged and several items are irreparably broken (furniture and porcelain bowls). We will be contacting uhaul for refund and filing an insurance claim.Chris M.

There are two boxes and two cars that never arrived into my apartment. The movers were late sketchy and rushed. Poor communication and it appears they stole or somehow made to disappear several important items. Missing boxes containing the following : several coyote, fox, raccoon, skunk, bobcat, deer and other skulls and bones. Missong a Evers line of a kind hand woven necklaces with precious and semi precious stones in them. Missing several pair of sterling silver earrings. Missing several medals from races I ran. Missing two cars of crystals and jewelry. All told this is a $5000 loss in my belongings - but a loss of three times that due to the inability to create the art pieces the majority of the items were brought for. Also missing silver jewelry my son created for me when he was a little boy. That is priceless. I have called to speak about this and can't seem to get anyone to guide me on how to file a claim or what to do. I wanted to call the police but honestly fear retaliation. Will never use uhaul again unless this can be amicably resolved.jacqueline R.

The woman who dropped off and picked up containers in Oakland was FANTASTIC. Timely, efficient and friendly. However, I had to call 4 times to schedule pickup of the containers at our new home in Michigan. Each time I called I was on hold for over 30 minutes. The pick-up was rescheduled twice. I was charged for a months rent (later refunded) as they say in our driveway. We had our driveway power washed and they had to wash around them. It now looks less than ideal with two large, dirty spots where the containers were. This was such an inconvenience that I could never recommend Uhaul boxes.Ryan K.

I had several issues with this rental, all on the CA side: - U-Box was rarely out when I requested it. Had to wait an hour often for it to get taken out, or come back the next day. - U-Box was never shipped to the destination as agreed. I had to call the CA site after I was charged an extra month of storage to figure that out and have it shipped (week and a half late). - The original destination did not accept U-Boxes, so we had to change that last minute too over the phone.Joao R.

When the U-Box arrived in Denver, we were notified that it was "extremely damaged" and could not even be lifted onto a trailer to be towed to our home. We instead were told to rent a truck and unload the box at the shipping site into a moving truck and then drive the truck back to our home to unload for a second time. We knew the box had an issue when we dropped it off at the Hayward location for shipping. The gentlemen at the Hayward U-Box facility were very helpful in trying to fix the box before it was shipped out, but this box should have never even been sold in its condition. Furthermore, our U-box pickup location in California was moved to a destination 50 miles from our home without us being notified; it was only until I noticed a change on our reservation 4 days before pickup that I called to speak with someone. After 4 phone transfers and an hour on hold, we were able to secure our pickup in Hayward, CA but still had to rent a truck from another site for towing. Overall the on-site teams were very helpful but better communication to your customers about changes to their reservations and knowing when to pull beyond-repair boxes from circulation can be improved. We were extremely lucky that no items in the box were damaged, but it could have been a lot worse.DYLAN L.
Though this specific location did their job properly, this survey in no way reflects my overall experience with Uhaul. You have been consistently terrible and we will never use or recommend your service ever again. Our ubox arrived one full week late without compensation to our new home. It was then picked up late, and we were charged for the extra days of rent that we neither asked for nor needed. Uhaul has problems. My experience is not unique. Fix it.Kirstin A.

Be sure to order the correct number of boxes at the beginning. Overestimate is our recommend. We tried to order extra boxes but could not get them in time. We ended up renting an additional trailer and hauling ourselves to new location. We could not bring all of our items and ended up giving away and throwing away many good useful items. Your commercials should stress this to the viewers. We were a bit deceived by your commercials saying how each box can store. Other than that it went as assured by Uhaul and each of the Uhaul employees were professional at all times. Kudos to your people.karen C.

Please advise customer if they are going to higher Moving Help to be aware that the customer needs for wrap all furniture for protection. We had a scratch on a dresser draw because it was placed next to the head board and the load shifted which caused the draw to drop on the headboard.Anna L.

The staff was very friendly and everything arrived on time. However, Uhaul needs to seriously restructure their policies I guess you'd say. I could've easily fit all of my stuff into 3 ubox containers but halfway through packing noticed a sign on one of the doors of the container with the weight limit, it was not on all of the doors but I did find it in fine print of my contract so I guess that's on me. But how am I supposed to know how much my stuff weighs?! I tried calling customer service but after being on hold for over an hour finally gave up. I finally got someone on chat and they never directly answered my question as to what would happen if my ubox containers were overweight, like they were reciting from a script, super annoying! Finally found out that they would just leave it at the location until I came to remove stuff to lighten the load. I was already going to be across the country so this was not an option. I ultimately had to pack an extra ubox ($1300!) to avoid anxiety over it. Also, the latches on the uboxes did not line up! After loading them there was no way to lock them! I had to make a trip to Ace Hardware and figure out how to secure them closed! HUGE hassle in the middle of a move! :(Brandy O.
