I reserved two dollies and none were available. I literally had to go to another location to find a dolly, without which moving would have been impossible. Why make it possible to reserve items that aren't available at the store, especially something so essential to moving as a dolly?CHIRAG G.

The wiper blades badly needed replacing and considering the torrential rain showers on Thursday, could have easily been the cause of an accident (twice). Nice staff working under difficult conditions, considering parking difficulties for any inner city truck rental depot. I used the after hours key drop off box. Dropped the rental at this location because it was the closest one to my destination. They charged me a fee for dropping off at the wrong location, even though there had obviously been a contract error regarding the drop off location. We were busy moving all day and weren't aware of the error until we had already returned the truck. The drop off on the contact was 5 hours away!! The fee was for such a small amount, I couldn't help but ask why they charged me at all, especially since it was not our fault.Brandi A.

A few suggestions to make this a better location: - have someone at the desk at all times while the business is open (I stood around for close to 10 minutes before the wife of the person working there came up to the desk ). There was no sign or way to contact a rep. - have more equipment and/or notify if the requested equipment is not available after the reservation comes in ( I requested a dolly, but one was not available is it was first come, first served ). - have a clean store ( the place looked like an antique/thrift store or a warehouse )Erik S.

I had the worst experience with U-Haul on Saturday 4/24/21. I took the time to do everything required online to do everything contactless. When I got to the location, the van I was supposed to get wasn't even at that location. So I ended up having to do everything over with one of your representatives onsite. A complete waste of time, and made me late. The van I was given was extremely dirty. I had reserved 12 moving blankets that were supposed to be placed in the van prior to my arrival so that I wouldn't have to interact with anyone onsite. The location didn't have any moving blankets so didn't have anything to protect my items. Had I known, I would've made other plans. The van wasn't even full with fuel, I returned it the exact same way with 3/4 of a tank. For some reason, I was charged for 4 gallons. I was also charged a $20 after hour fee even though I returned it using my phone. For advertising $19.95 for a in-town move, being charged $198.65 for a 11 hour renatl is a complete ripoff. Especially for the horrible experience I had. I need a refund.Guillaume F.

I just had to because I had such a great experience at this UHAUL LOCATION The guy who processed my check out for renting UHaul really made my move easy and pleasant. The only thing was that they didn't have a dolly that I reserved, but it was not a big deal for me. Uhaul is horrible. Customer service is nonexistent. They made every part of my moving day more stressful. The website is unreliable and speaking to someone on the phone takes ages. I will never use U-Haul again and I will make sure that anyone who will listen here's what a horrible experience I had. Clearly U-Haul doesn't need my business because they're well-known country wide and I guess that's why they don't care about anything.Fletcher M.

I had reserved a moving trolley with my original truck booking (3 weeks in advance) and this was clearly listed on my reservation, then additionally checked in online many days before scheduled pickup. To be extra safe (due to Uhaul's major system outage the weekend before) I also went to the pick-up location the day before to ensure my booking was all in order and was told there was nothing further to do until the pickup time. Upon arriving to collect my truck, it was explained there were no trolleys left and they were first come first served for such equipment. The attendant at the counter showed no care or offered any solutions to meet my documented trolley reservation. We ultimately ended up having to move our entire apartment to and from the truck completely manually, carrying over 40 large boxes and furniture with no trolley to assist. Whilst the Truck condition/booking/return was seamless, the additional hours and physical effort required due to the missing trolley (and total lack of care regarding that matter), has ensured we will never again use uHaul for such a stressful and important task.Justin L.

Now returning my vehicle to 220 East 117 st, NY NY 10035 was a nightmare. I returned after hours and wasn't able to to access myuhaul.com for return. Called customer service who left me on hold for more than 2 hrs. At this point phone died. I called following day was on hold for 40 minutes when Uhaul called me inquiring where was the truck. Your customer service team were not able to locate the truck nor speak to anyone at the drop off facility for over a week. I called everyday with no luck for a closed account. I was told I would be contacted in return, but no one has yet to call and it has been a week and a half already. Smh losing faith in this company rapidly.Michael J.

The first night I booked a pick up where you do it yourself. Apparently they allowed me to do this but then after an hour waiting on hold the customer service rep told me this location doesn't allow that type of service. So we re booked for the following day. My issue was that I was able to reserve a vehicle for 7:30 AM pickup but upon check-in, I was instructed by the U-Haul website to wait until 8 AM for the location to open to pick up the vehicle. Location was fine, the man who checked us out when we returned the van was excellent and very helpful. However they did not answer the phones when called and the voicemail message said different hours than were actually operated. We had to keep the uhaul for the full 24 hours versus the 8ish hours we had planned and paid even more money to park it overnight. Also, online it should be more specific about where and how to return unused boxes as it cannot be returned everywhere. Had to drive to a separate uhaul location to return and even there it took 30 minutes for them to figure out how to refund me as I ordered online. Overall a very negative experience. The mileage calculation for the rental was wrong due to a mistake in the departure miles logged in the systems. We were promised this will be fixed (we were charged for 56 miles instead of 13 miles that we did). The reservation was for 2 hours and 15 miles and instead of refund us for 2 miles we were extra charged more than $80 because the reservation was changed to daily. We are still trying to contact the branch or customer service to get this resolved with no luck! I've opened a dispute with my credit card company. Worst experience ever.Eddy H.
