I booked a 10x 15 storage unit. When we arrived it was gone. I was guaranteed the 10x15. We had to get two separate units, which is inconvenient. The storage units are not next to each other.

We got ripped off though with the way this whole thing worked being a one way ... we picked up at 8:30a and dropped off before noon on the same day but still had to pay for 24 hours just felt kind of like a lot but it all worked out.

The truck tan and drove fine. The check engine light was on. The gas as marked on the sheet (1/2 tank) was higher than actual- more like between 1/4 and 1/2 tank. I only drove 28 miles and added $10 to return at 1/2 tank.

When checking my truck for damage, and comparing it the pictures in the, the pictures didn't match up to my truck. When I hit dispute, it asked me to add a picture to dispute it. The was no option to take a picture. So I left the app to take a picture, do that I could add it in the app. When I went back to the app to add the picture the dispute page was gone, and the app went back to the home page and I couldn't figure out how to get back to the dispute page.

The staff at the Waverly U-Haul have been exceptional each and every time I went to the office or called. They are polite and more than willing to assist with what’s needed. Great location. I would have continued renting at the location if I could have afforded a larger unit but sadly the prices are not competitive in this area.

The first unit I was given was filthy wit my a dead mouse or rat in it. The staff provided conflicting information at various times and inaccurate information and the manager also didn’t tell me all of the information that I needed to know at times. I do appreciate that the manager sought to make things right at times but I was still out a lot of money as a result of the lack of information. I will say that the move out process was smooth and I was provided the final receipt promptly as I requested which I greatly appreciate.

I rented 2 storage units and paid for a full 30 day period on both (not my first months payments), I then vacated about 9 days into that 30 day period and am not being reimbursed for the time I was no longer there. Uhaul is making a double profit, very bad business and I will not be returning for any services. I'm very upset about this. I have used Uhaul many times and am now quite disappointed. (note that the staff I interacted with during my time there were friendly, my issue is with the lack of reimbursement which I completely disagree with)

No complaints. I wish there was an easier way to load and unload from the smaller units. There's only one garage door, and one car can take up that space at a time. I managed with what I had, but it was still a bit inconvenient. Other than that, 10/10. Would rent again.

Moving in was great. The cashier didn’t remind me that my 1st month was free. I asked for the free month and was told that I would receive it in November. Received an email that U Haul had charged my credit card. So I went into the store and was told that I owe for the insurance on the FREE month and I wouldn’t owe anything until January. I asked how did we get to January? Let’s straighten out November because I didn’t authorize you to charge my card. She told me that she couldn’t reverse it. I thought this was poor customer service & the payment should have been reversed. I’m not happy with U Haul.

I had a really really bad experience with your company. I was told I would have one month free storage, which I don't feel that I got because the fee for the moving truck was the price of the storage unit plus a little extra. The vehicle I rented smelled like wet dog which made all of my stuff smell like wet dog. I altered the office manager at the storage facility. He called whoever he had to call, and I was told to leave the truck at the storage place. The next day my card was charged for not returning the truck to the original office. I put in a complaint and then was dodged by the manager at the original office and the manager at the storage center was no longer the manager to help me get a refund. Plus I told office many times that my address was wrong on my paperwork. By the time I got it fixed I was so far in the hole with storage fees because I forgot about it with everything else I had going on in my life and really needed the reminder messages.

The storage latch is hard for me to open and everytime need to seek onsite person’s help, also units are having garage type doors and had to put good effort to lift them up. Also somebody did cut my lock and when complained they didn’t spend tome to findout what happened. Definitely not a good experience to have unit for long time

There is one particular employee that I interacted with on several occasions. She did my checkout. The employee name on my Customer Receipt (751025-112955-209668) says Analisa Gordon. I hope that is the person I am speaking of. In my encounters with her, she provided excellent customer service and professionalism to a degree I am not used to in these modern days. I could not say enough good things about her. She should be the head of Customer Service training for your organization. At the least, she deserves some recognition for exceptional attention to the needs of your customers.

I often had to seek out my packages even though they were suppose to be put in my unit. Also, it started to smell like Marijuana clearly from the staff ( I saw them) over the last few months which is just a turn off for a professional place of business. I called customer service so I can move from a large storage to a smaller storage. A customer service rep have me a price and reserved it for me. One I got there the rude young lady at the desk told me I had to pay a month on the storage I was moving out of and pay for the new one. I called customer service again and they said that was incorrect after they got me out of $270!!!! It doesn't make any since that they made me pay for a storage that will be empty!!! The GM NEVER returns any messages or calls!!! They can't do nothing right and always gives you wrong information and over charging me. Now I'm fighting to get my money back for a storage that is empty and had been paid for, for 30 days!!! Horrible customer service

Some how my reservation information & identification was lost or input incorrectly, On several occasions my attempt to pay my rental at the Waverly facility was met with, " I'm sorry you are not in the system", which drove me to contact the U-Haul Corp. , and pay online. When I went to cancel my storage unit, I was told by the local Waverly facility that my unit was not rented, and in fact was empty. Obviously not true , if anyone cared to check. The staff at Waverly were incapable of correcting this, and I never rec'd a call from the manager, despite the Corp. Office's assurance that he/she would.

The initial person we met with was okay, however seemed new at their job and unsure on certain things. People didn't really seem personable or friendly. I had a few interactions that weren't super pleasant -- staff seemed distracted or uninterested in helping. When I returned the U-Haul, no one came out to assist me in the return process. When I went inside to ask for help, there were two people working -- one was helping a customer and the other was stocking shelves. The person stocking the shelves, which I believe was the manager, walked past me saying nothing and didn't offer to help. Please work on your customer service skills. If someone comes in and the other person is helping someone else, drop what you're doing and help the customer. It's pretty basic stuff.

I've only had one problem and it had nothing to do with the facility itself. It was with an employee. The employee wasn't wearing a mask, but the staff was making the public wear one or they couldn't come in. If you're going to enforce this for your customers then it should be enforced for the staff as well.

I used a 20' U-Haul truck to move from out of state and needed a place to put my belongings while we are waiting for our home to come available. The truck worked great, the drop-off was easy and fast, and the employees were not unkind. I wanted to get a storage unit at the same location I dropped off the truck, and the first month of storage rental was free with a truck rental. Thus, I hopped online to U-Haul's website, pulled up my order, and reserved the largest storage unit at the Waverly location in Lansing, Michigan using my free month of rent. I received a reservation confirmation for a 10' x 15' x 12' drive up storage unit. On the day of the move, when I was told I could obtain the unit, I called ahead to confirm the specific unit was still being held for me - they verified that it was. When I arrived with the full truck later that day, I was told that there were no 10' x 15' x 12' drive up storage units available. It was communicated that my reservation email from U-Haul was without value and that the best unit they could give me was a 10' x 10' x 10' unit (thus lowering the value of my free month of storage, disregarding my carful efforts to reserve and confirm a large unit, and putting me in a difficult situation for unloading my 20' U-Haul truck that day). In the end, I was able to stack my belongings into the smaller unit, with much difficulty and rendering nearly all belongings inaccessible without unpacking the entire unit.

Only one employee was wearing a mask and it only covered his mouth not his nose. Most of the customers in there didn't have masks either. They were not encouraged to wear one by the employees either. I just needed some short term storage and the location had great availability, convenient access and hours. Overall I was very happy. The only thing that could have been better was that the gasket on the roll up door was worn through in some areas and it made the door very difficult to open and close. I would prefer to have 24 hour access to the climate control storage spaces. Additionally, I was surprised to see a rodent trap in our bin and will be checking to see how and who will be periodically checking the trap for removal of any rodents since I am the holder of the key for the lock? There was no mention of this when we rented the bin.

My outside storage facility had easy access for me to pack and unpack. The staff was great! I would highly recommend this U-Haul.

The storage facility is infested with rats! Their droppings were everywhere. It was so bad that I was forced to dispose of my sofa upon moving out. I could not bring myself to sit again.

Several times, the check in/out system did not work. I paid for extended access, and when the system didn't work, I couldn't access my items. On one occasion, I found the outside door wasn't locked.

The manager is hostile, the after-hours access sets off an alarm every time because they will not fix the card reader, and the staff never picks up the phone even when there are no customers in store.

When we went to empty the unit we had to move our truck during the process of loading to make room for someone else, when all the staff had to do was move a personal vehicle. Very inconvenient for us
