We were told about a switch that had to be turned off after we returned the truck so that it would consume less gas when empty. After we filled the truck up on return had to go back and put more gas in the truck. When I called customer service they said the young lady does not recall telling us this. If I wasn’t told this I would not know anything about it. I definitely will not be using haul again. Now they are saying it was only for when you tow something and that you have to manually turn it off. Poor customer service period. I recommend anyone to go else where to rent a truck!!

After having to go to numerous locations, because my reservation was not at the one, that I reserved it, I had to listen to this staff complain. They complained about there being numerous reservations on the truck, and that shouldn't be happening. The truck was brought back 6 hours early and with extra gas, and was charged $36 for gas, $20 for bringing it after hours, even though they were open when it was brought back, and it said on the form it wasn't brought back until 7am, when it was due a 10pm the night before. It was brought back at 5pm on the first night. But because we did not use the mobile app to check it back in, they didn't until the next day. And since we didn't have a picture showing the extra gas we were charged. We drove the truck 48 miles, we put $15 in the gas tank, and they said that it was low 9 more gallons. U-Haul is a money grab. And we will not use them again.

Place was a circus when I got there. Got there when it opened, said the internet was down so they had us waiting for a bit, not a big deal. They just pointed to the lot with 50 trucks and said your truck is in the middle somewhere. Got it finally after checking about 10 trucks and realized the gas was lower than when they gave it to me. Took a picture instead of going back in the line of 20 customers. Turned it back in with the same fuel they gave me and they basically yelled at me for not coming back in. Told me they were charging me for the difference and that I could call the manager if I wanted tomorrow. Its only $9 but it is crazy to think you would blame the customer and charge me.

The Attendant had to run my card three times and told me my card was declined. I knew there was more than enough money to cover the cost in my account. Upon my insurance he ran it a fourth time and it went through. Also, I had to get a utility dolly, the attendant got the dolly for me and never attempted to help me out it in my car because I forgot it the first time and had to go back.

Had to wait a couple minutes until clerk would acknowledge me as she was too busy with a personal conversation with co workers. After I received the key I was told the truck was out by road but no idea how to identify it. Fortunately some mechanics were getting back from lunch and showed me the truck number on the contract and where to find it on the truck. I inspected the truck and took pictures of the existing damage. Walked back into the office to have damage documented, she was no help. The clerk next to her told me there were pictures in the text that was sent to me but I could not access so he sent them again, I still could not access. I was told the damage was documented but how was I to know what was documented and what wasn't. Finally the 2nd person who was actually trying to help me told the 1st clerk to walk out with me and make sure all the existing damage was indeed documented. Frustrating

This is not the location I initially chose, and I chose a different truck size because what it was showing me was available at the original location I had selected. The changes location was 32 miles further. The extra miles were added however it also added additional time to an already long day.

First..they got my name at..even tho the the very first guy I spoke with pulled my information up when I said my name because I have used uhaul services b4..! My name is Gail Brooks..I informed the gentleman that I was moving from Akron to Columbus..Ohio.. I ordered a 15 ft truck ..for 11:00 a.m. I REPEAT .. ELEVEN O'CLOCK..A.M. !!!!!!..I received an email stating they have a truck reserved for 3:00 p.m. WHAT..when I called in after being on hold the first time for approximately 45 minutes..I talked to a lady gave her my number and she hung up on me..SHE HAD MY PHONE NUMBER..SHE COULD'VE CALLED ME BACK but she DIDN'T..! Back on the phone for another 30 minutes..the new guy says my reservation is for 4:30 p.m.WTH..! he then informed me that Uhaul will take 50.00 off my order WHICH THEY DIDN'T DO..it is crazy ASF that when I first called to play my reservation the voice machine said We PROMISED..SOOOOOOO MANY TIMES..OMG! you promised.. promised.. Promised..And you ..UHAUL..! Couldn't... because you over book..!..?..!..?..!..? WHY??? Moving is already STRESSFUL..AS HELL..!! THEN YOU DO THIS .LIVID..AS HELL..!! UNLESS YOU PPL HAVE THE 50.00....$$.. A AS .. PROMISED..I DONT WANTA HEAR NOTHING YOU PPL HAVE TO SAY.. however I will be giving Consumer Affairs to report this entire incident ..

Broken windshield in two places. They had no appliance dolly's. I had one reserved so I didn't bring my little dolly so I had to rent a little dolly for 10 dollars.

It took me all together 30 minutes to get what I rented & leave. I stood in line for 20 minutes alone. The associates are really friendly. But it’s a very very very slow process to get what you reserved & leave.

The truck had a dirty ashtray and smelled of smoke. The steering was off truck pulled to the right. Even worse with braking. The drivers mirror bounced all over the place and did not stay in position as I set it. Making it difficult to use and rely on. Inside of box unit multiple wood bumpers were loose, or missing.

We were offered a "free upgrade" to a truck that was much larger than we wanted because they claimed that they didn't have the size that we requested available. After wasting 30 minutes trying to get a truck that was clearly on their lot in our preferred size, I called Penske and was told that they had our preferred size available. After mentioning that, this U-Haul location magically discovered that the truck we requested was there all along.

Not so much this location but the overall experience Our order got messed up, split over 2 locations (neither of which were the closest or ones we picked weeks ago when we first made a reservation) and when we got here to pick up the truck they had no idea about the furniture dolley and pads I had also ordered online with the reservation. They said they didn't have them anyway but there was NO communication from Uhaul on this Then, we missed our 2nd location to pick up the auto transport because we were moving out of state and on a time crunch. I wish we would have known much sooner (not an email 3 hours before the move was to take place) about needing to go to different locations, this caused us to have to make a 2nd trip back to the state to pick up the vehicle that needed transported

my truck broke down on the way here and they were not helpful in getting me into a vehicle to continue my move-after 24 hours of fighting with uhaul about them giving me a vehicle that fits two when there were three in our party. Upper mngt at roadside is terrible in their positions finally one person finally followed policies. Common sense is definitely lacking in the upper mngt.

This has been a horrible customer experience all together. It is not all the local stores fault and there is plenty of blame to go around. When I rented the truck I let an employee know that the mileage on the truck was much lower than what was on the contract. He looked, agreed, and said he was going to make note and take care of it. I tried to return the truck after hours as agreed upon but the app wouldn't let me check it in as the "current milage was lower that the starting milage." After waiting on hold for almost and hour for customer service with a tired and hungry family in tow, i locked the truck up and put the keys in the box. I finally got someone answered and put me on hold saying i needed to be transferred. After another 20 mins on hold my wife tried to call on her phone and got through after about another 15 mins. I hung up my phone and gave the person my wife got all the info. He said he put it in the notes and to call the local store in the morning. I tried calling multiple times yesterday morning and never spoke to anyone as my calls were routed to the call center. Finally only after putting out some tweets on social media did anyone reach out. However that's not where this ended. I exchanged messages with a person and after telling my story again said she was going to send a message for the local store to call me. Nothing. Sent more messages... social media person says they were going to put in a formal complaint. I still have not heard from the local store or the person from social media who said they were going to look into this and stay in touch.

The uhaul I rented leaked on my furniture and clothes and I mentioned it to employees and they still tried to, and closed out my contract as if nothing happened and everything was fine.

This was my third rental from this location in the last 90 days. - Young lady checking out veh was helpful. - Lady U-haul employee moving vehs in the parking area was not helpful - rude "I'm in a hurry!". - Fuel was not correct per the the contract. I went back in to have it corrected and rec'd. Ashtray had ashes in it. - I called 800/ GO-UHAUL and spoke with Cheryl in Customer Service. She listened to my issues and was helpful. Cheryl is great to work with went above and beyond and is an asset to your company!

Not really complaint about your services but we were inconvenienced when a police pulled us over because are lights on trailer were going on and off in dark making it impossible to be seen. After three stops to problem lights found a short in wires at trailer wiring and used tape to keep on and from vibrating apart. They said they would fix immediately. I know not something that they could have predicted just happened. Thanks for your services Steve

Understaffed on a Sunday morning. Took 1/2 hour to figure out they didn’t have 2 dozen pads available. Parking lot was gridlocked making exit tricky and normal customer parking was inaccessible. Truck was delivered with ZERO gas. Felt lucky to make the closest open gas station.

Customer service majorly. I always use this location. The contract changed since the last time I’ve rented. It wasn’t explained to me. She sent me out in 80 degree + weather to search for my own uhaul which was wedged between 2 others. To go back and fourth to back it out. Just lazy. On top of the fact there was an irate customer when I got there. The gentleman working there told her to hold on. Walker off left her waiting forever as the girl just laughed, just lazy and poor service. Hire new people

The night drop off procedure needs work. Tried logging into my account multiple times and it wouldnt work. Maybe due to having bad service. I finally got it to work. If your not a tech person (older generation) or dont have a smart phone its going to be difficult for them.

Website says access till 10 pm on Sunday. Access is only until 5. Cost me $200 appliance sale. When I mentioned to the girl how the incorrect info was on the website, she said " I don't run the site.
