No one ever answered the phone when I called. Left two messages and got no callbacks. Went to the location during posted business hours to drop off the trailer and no one was there - lights off and building all locked up. After a 30-minute wait the lights came on and I guess the guy saw me in the parking lot - he must have been in the building all the time. When he came out he was not friendly, never apologized and wanted me to help him move the trailer by hand. I said I couldn't (bad back) and he grudgingly did it himself. Terrible customer service. I'll carefully avoid this location from now on.Mark B.
I was charged for safe move coverage ($56.00) that I never asked for or consented to at the time of rental. This fee is not listed on the reservation receipt/reservation summary. This is a deceptive act and I want the fee refunded immediately. I will file a dispute with my credit card company.Pedro B.

While waiting on the office to open, 15 minutes after it was supposed to be opened, I slipped and fell due to ice going toward the steps. The person/manager/owner? just said he was sorry. He should have been more concerned! When I returned I needed a broom to sweep the truck. No answer at the door; his vehicle was parked in driveway. I was charged for cleaning; it was just a pile of dirt No, I Will Not return or Recommend Others to this UHaul Business. I'm sorry I didn't go to the one I'm most familiar. Joyce CookJoyce C.
The truck was not in a good shape. The driver's side door did not fully close and it let all the cold air in through gaps. The engine was making a squeaking noise during my entire trip. There was no cruise control. My trip with the truck was a really bad experience.Haluk Sinan C.
The lockbox was frozen from the ice. Even though the location was open for business, no one answered the doorbell. I had to go down the street, purchase hot water, then coke back and poor it on the lock box so I could get the key. This cost me extra money and less time with my rental because of extra tripDominic R.
The location was fine, but it did not align with the hours provided on the Uhaul website. I reserved the vehicle for 7 am and I was not able to pick up the vehicle until 10 am because they didn't open until then. Better communication needs to be provided on how to pick up a key before hours of operation. I lost three hours of work time due to this descrepency.Robert A.

Arrived during posted business hours. Closed sign on door with instructions to ring doorbell and wait for response. No response. Called number posted on door. Went to voicemail. Called # on contract. Went to voicemail. No call back.ARTHUR L.
There was no help at all when unloading and the location is located on an incline. I shouldn't have had to change locations to a uhaul that had no help simply because my scheduled location did not want a 6x12. The whole drop off experience was horrible.WESLEY K.

I returned the truck with the blankets folded as instructed and the fuel had barely moved but I was charged a fee for both. I double checked the trailer before returning the key and the blankets had slid around with the dolly and were near the cab of the truck but we're still folded but the plastic had come off of one. I am not physically able to climb in the truck to move them. I left a message at the office and no one returned my call.Heather B.

It's insane how supposedly it's 30$ for the day, I used the truck 2 hours and charged me 137$, you guys have to advertise that your gonna charge gas and mileageCaleb W.
I made reservations for an auto transport 4 days in advance at one uhaul rental facility. The next day u haul called and said the trailer would be at another facility on Bardstown road . I drove 7 hours to get to this locstion at the designated time (10:30) and they did not have the trailer. I had to stand in the storeroom for 1 hour and 30 minutes, and finally had to ask the employees ( in an unpleasant manner) if any one of them were working on this issue. Finally they were able to locate a trailer and sent me to a third location to pick it up. The uhaul employee there was nice and even helped me to hook up the trailer. We proceeded to pick up a car and drove 7 hours back to south carolina. Upon arrival there and after unloading the car, we noticed that 3 of the 4 tires on the trailer were bald and had the steel belts showing . Being in the tire manufacturing business myself, I honestly believe that it was by the grace of God that we made it home on these tires!!! So what can make you do to improve?? 1. Do not make reservations and rent equipment that you cannot deliver on time!!! 2. Train the staff at the Bardstown Uhaul location! That place was a circus!! 3. Inspect your equipment as it should be inspected upon return from the last rentor! I feel that our lives and our vehicles were put in jeopardy because a U haul representative could not competently do their job!!!! Truck cab and bed left cleaner than when we picked it up. This uhaul neighborhood dealer operated by turf runners charged us $25 cleaning fee. I Contacted and spoke with Chris at turf runners. He stated cleaning fee was assessed not because it was dirty but because they didn't like where we parked it??? They were closed during the day time on a Thursday. There was no one to assist and no parking directions. The parking area on a hill side was full of other trucks and we parked it in the gravel area the only safe place to park a 15' truck with car tow. I don't understand how this company can charge a cleaning fee by their admission it wasn't dirty but because apparently we didn't park it where they thought we should park it even though there were no directions or signage??? I would not recommend this drop off location because of limited accessibility and lack of assistance and dishonest billing charges. I will be following up with uhaul and I would suggest uhaul do a site visit for quality control as this was a terrible location and negative experience by turf runners representing uhaul.David B.
Let the customer know if the place they chose for pick up (AND TIME) WON'T be available a LITTLE sooner than the reservation time so they can plan accordingly! Why even bother to let the customer choose the time and place and U-Haul changes it at the last minute. And the dumb broad i talked to on the phone right at 10am gave zero shits and didn't try to console me AT ALL. Garbage. I'm never using U-Haul again. I move around a lot for work and never had this problem before. It's Penske for me.SALLY H.

We had to wait 3 hours to get a truck. First the truck we reserved wasn't available due to someone not dropping it off at the right place. Then they didn't get the key from the last customer. We then got switched to a different location and when we arrived they couldn't check out the truck to us due to system issues. We ended up going back and they had the original truck ready. We reserved for 10am but didn't get a truck till 1pm. Thankfully Chris at Turf Runners was nice and helped us out getting the original truck after our reservation had already been changed.taryn S.

The steps were very icy to get to the keys and drop. It did not appear that they had salted or tried to clear the area. The location was good and the equipment was fine. The app kept giving me errors. I had to call corporate which they dropped the call after I was on hold for 5 minutes. After 25 min. of trying I finally got the app to work however it would not load the pictures of the mileage and the gas level so I was charged an extra $20. This is not the locations fault, but it was a hassle.Ann H.

My experience with UHaul was horrible on 1/23. I had a whole day wasted because you changed my rental location 3 times without anyone calling me and I had to reach out. Due to this inconvenience we had to add another day to our move when we needed to be out on 1/25Reginald M.

The truck check-out process is not intuitive and lacks helpfulness. I had to talk with customer service who was not patient or helpful, and tried to "bulldog" her way through the process. There should be more information up front for the customer for what to expect.Josh H.
This location is a franchise type store, when I arrived the door locked, yet it was after opening hours. When the representative open the door he was not wearing a Covid mask, which I believe is your current policy and CDC guidelines. The representative was not rude but certainly not as friendly as I'm used to a U-Haul representative being. I felt as more of an inconvenience than a customer. He hooked up the trailer for me and told me where to return it on the lot when I was finished. He didn't run through the normal check out discussion I had previously experienced. I had to ask him to help to check the light function before I left. When I ask what time they closed, he told me 4:30 PM. He told me if it was after hours to check the trailer in online and they would review it in the morning. I asked so that I could return the trailer without an â€œafter hours feeâ€. The trailer was clean but the lower side rails inside we're not attached to the walls except at the ends, and useless to tie down cargo. Mechanically the trailer worked perfectly, however there were a few cosmetic issues. You could see grease spun out of the lug nuts and all over the wheels (I checked to make sure they were tight, the grease was old) and there was paint overspray across the taillights. It wasn't enough to cover the lenses but was enough to lower the brightness of some. When I return the trailer at 4 o'clock the office was closed and the door locked. I returned the trailer to the area he told me and checked it in electronically. I've been a customer of U-Haul for over 40 years and have always expected and gotten a high level of service. Over those years I have rented large trucks smaller trucks and numerous trailers in all configurations and have been very happy with all of them. I have even purchased several trailer hitches and had them installed on vehicles. While not a bad experience at this location it is certainly not a location that I would accept returning to, and it is not up to the normal standard of the previous locations I've used.Michael W.
I had a guaranteed rental online. My original location was closed and no holiday pickup even though it let me confirm online. Had to call and get it moved to a different location. Originally was supposed to have a 26' truck and had to settle for a 20' truck because of the miscommunication. Then the after app pickup was a bit difficult.Sean H.

My order was supposed to be self pick up and drop off. I was called and told I had to pick up the vehicle before they closed on Friday. I dropped the vehicle off on Saturday but was charged for 2 extra days. I contacted the person on the email about this and the said it would get fixed. It has not been fixed yet.Richard W.
