I paid 20 dollars extra for pads and utility dolly, but they were not provided with the truck, and since I was in a hurry and it was a holiday (Jan 1st), I could not find anyone to help me with this issue. I even tried the live chat while picking up the truck, but no one responded. I would like a refund at least, let alone the the frustration and disappointment that I went through!Siavash P.

Every time I use U-Haul, your lax booking system ends up messing up my timing and what's available. I booked a 5x8 trailer at one location, was given a 4x8 in a location across town. This is messed up. The local person (Jimmy Ding) was great and helpful. But U-Haul as a business demonstrates a flagrant disrespect for customers' time.Reza R.

Everything about our rental experience was very good. The truck was well maintained and easy to drive. Checking in and out were easy. The billing was quick and accurate. There is only one problem. We had difficulty finding Trusty Car Rental. As we drove south on Pharmacy we couldn't see the office. The colours are all faded and hard to spot. On the way back we pulled into the little strip mall and then we found it. Maybe better signage? Otherwise we were very happy.Shelley C.

I requested for a furniture dolly when I made the reservation. I spoke with the U-Haul customer service agent on the phone twice prior to picking up my truck. The agent did not inform me they were not able to provide the furniture dolly for my reservation. There was clearly a lack of communication between staff, as well as staff and customer. I would appreciate if the location can provide better communication and service to other customers.Ka Ka T.

Needed a last minute move for a couch but jesus christ.. Totally outrageous charges. There are movers that offer the exact same price that include pickup and delivery. I have 0 idea how this company charges so much. Even on the estimated price it shows drastically lower and then you guys add in like a bunch of extra charges. Horrible experience. It took me two days to book a 15' truck for moving out of a 2 bedroom apartment. Finally I managed to reserve one with the customer service rep for office pick up. No one ever told me that there is no office and no one manning the location. It got worse when I finally managed to find the location to find out there is only one 10' truck is parked at back. I had to jump through hoops to contact the owner and find out that that is all he has to offer and to get the key, I have to call customer service. Then customer service rep, instructed me that the only way to open the box is visiting their website and following the instructions ( answering questions, submitting pictures of myself, my driving licence,..........) to get the postcode. I showed up early to ensure I can be ready for reserved elevator, it took me over 30 minutes to just get the truck's key. Then I had to think of how I can get another truck to move what can not be taken to the new place with this one during my allocated time frame. It is unfortunate that no one even gave me a courtesy call to let me know that what I booked and confirmed is not available, ....... All I heard was we are sorry for the inconveniences, a cliche answer which has lost its meaning due to too much abuse. I wasn't going to share this but just because you have sending me email after email for my feedback. Hope this helps.Mohammad S.

Jimmy was very helpful and thoroughly explained my rental of a Cargo Van. It was a 2019 and had no damage on the outside. When I returned the vehicle, he inspected it and the billing was done online. Had a "VERY BAD" experience with u-haul this time. Initially wanted to rent the vehicle from 1875 Leslie but vehicle was not available so had to book at 150 Duncan mills. And then 1hr 50mins before the pick-up time it automatically changed the location to 1810 Pharmacy Ave. NO COMPENSATION WAS OFFERED FOR EXTRA KMS DRIVEN. The van that we rented stinked as if cattle was stuffed in the van before we rented, and since my wife is sentitive to strong smell she kept sneezing all the time. In the end for 27 Kms driven they charged us for 7.52 liters of gas!! (Taking into consideration extra 10Kms of driving back and forth due to unavailability of vehicle). Aslo we were forced into getting the insurance which we had intially rejected. I had rented the same type of van for same kind of purpose back in 2nd week of May 2019 and it costed me $34.74 with a great experience. This time is costed us $69.19 with terrible experience! Definately will not be renting from Uhaul again.Alnoor D.

When I returned the truck the young fellow who was there barely looked up from his computer where he seemed to be playing a video game. I needed the car for one day, early morning of August 30, 2018 until the evening. Since the office closes at 5pm and I was at work I sent me my dsughter to pick it up before closing time. We used the car the following day and dropped it off in the evening. I was charged for 2 days. Never renting from this office again!Yehuda N.
This location was fantastic. Originally I had been told by another uHaul location to use uHaul's app to rent the van (as that location was to close early that day). That was the first mistake. uHaul's app is by far, the least user friendly app I have ever used. It did not allow for me to make a reservation, or rent from any location, and would lock itself in a 'loading' loop. After the app failure, I contacted uHaul to make a reservation for pick up later that day. I was given a reservation (pick up at 7pm) to a location about 30 minute drive away (in Toronto, where there are multiple uHaul locations available within a 5 minute radius). I arrived at location to pick up my reservation at about 8pm, and was told by staff that there is no vehicle available for me, despite my reservation. They suggested I wait an hour to see if one becomes available. Decided to call uHaul to see if there is any solution. After about 2 hours of being on hold - as well as being hung up on by multiple call center staff, I was offered no solution, other than a $50 credit supplied to my credit card (as a vehicle availability guarantee). I never received said credit. I was also informed I would receive a phone call from the uHaul regional manager - which I also never received. I was then offered to make a reservation at Trusty Car Rental (a 5 minute drive away) for the next morning (pick up at 930am - the time they open). I head towards Trusty at about 1030am, and while on route, I receive an email from uHaul informing me my reservation has been moved to a different location - one about 15 minutes away, and happens to be a uHaul corporate location. I cancel my reservation, and walk into Trusty. They were able to accommodate my rental request without problem. uHaul directly was a disappointment, where-as Trusty was very helpful. From now on, I will deal with Trusty directly, as I cannot trust uHaul to assist in any way. My recommendation : Don't reserve or go through uHaul (specially their self-service app). Deal with this location directly. They are very helpful, friendly, and are available (despite what uHaul may tell you).Matin N.

once I have returned the van and asked for the final bill, the clerk said that he has emailed me the final bill. I asked me what is the dollar amount on my final bill. He replied me again that he don't remember but he has emailed. This was funny. I again asked for the final printed bill and he said that he don't give the printed copy of the final bill. He calculated the dollar amount of the final bill and told me verbally. I have never seen this before. I used this location for the first time and this was some thing new. I need a van to go pick something up I could of kept the van for 24 hours but did my best to bring back the van cause was told they are busier on the weekends was there in about 2 hours didn't mind any of the charges except for the $5 gas charge did a total of 22 km on the truck I was honest and told them I didn't put any gas in it all this being said it's not for the $5 it's that I brought the van 22 hours early so they can rent it out again and got charged so if I ever rent from u haul again I will keep it for the whole 24 hourPasquale C.
