The folks at Truck and Tool Rental were great. The overall Uhaul experience not so much... I originally reserved the truck at the Uhaul center on Pacific Ave. then two days ago they contacted me and said they wouldn't have a truck available so they sent me to a location on Yakima St. When I got there they were closed and had a sign up saying they were closed all day Saturday the 11th. TODAY! So I then had to call Uhaul and get sent to a third location to finally get a truck!!! Very frustrating and disappointing.Donald F.

The truck was clean, and the rental man was nice, but the truck was in bad condition -- the engine sounded terrible, the brakes made weird groaning noises, and the steering squeaked. The 'check engine' light came on part way through the move. I don't blame the rental man for any of this - U-Haul has the responsibility to maintain its vehicles, but apparently it doesn't.FRANCESFAYE E.
The people that run the place are rude and are crooks. When I went to return my truck I couldn't log it in because it stated mileage was lower than what it was when I took the truck. How is that possible. They are crooks. They close at 11am so you will be returning the truck after hours so they can charge you an extra 20 bucks. DONT GO THERE!!!!COLLEEN Y.
The truck was already filthy and yet after I swept it out I still was stuck paying a cleaning fee. Not to mention I reserved the truck for 6 hours and got billed for three days. By far the worst rental truck experience I've ever had.Zane J.

This was my first time renting a uhaul truck. We had to use the mobile app to pick up the truck. Which was interesting. The app kept freezing up, not accepting the photos I was required to take. My pick up time was 4pm I literally spent an hour trying to complete the pick up process. Then when I tried to call for help as uhaul app suggest, I sat on hold for 43 minutes, and no one ever answered, the app would not accept the damage photos I was trying to submit. Then it eventually said web timed out. Almost 2 hours into my rental time is what I spent trying to complete their user friendly app rental process. I was able to retrieve my keys for the truck, so I just left with the truck. I had to be moved out in a few hours. The truck ran fine and worked perfectly. Then it comes to returning the truck again the app would not except photos, so I called uhaul AGAIN and waited on hold again, for 35 minutes this time. I eventually hung up, and was preparing for a battle on the charges. They only charged me for the time and mileage I used. Except for siting 2 hours into my rental time trying to submit photos and calling uhaul.Doug W.

First and foremost, please shut this location down! Very unprofessional and had no regard for the COVID thing, let alone a mask! Gave me a truck on empty with no paperwork to document damage or gas. The truck was filthy in and out, They made go retrieve my dolly as well as 4 wheeler equipment I rented. I needed to move desperately, but I'd have went elsewhereAmelise W.

App does not work well at location and make sure tools requested are in truck before renting to customer. Waited an hour and a half for a representative just to say there was nothing they could do unless I wanted to pay extra and drive to a location that didn't even have the tool requestedRonnell J.

I was not informed of the location's hours of operation (7 am-11 am) when I made my online reservation nor when I picked up the truck. Upon drop off, 2hrs before due I was hit with an after-hours service fee and a cleaning fee that was not disclosed to me until after I had returned the truck. This location was not forthcoming, helpful, or professional. Not worth the convenience.DENISE D.

The entire uhaul cab was grimey and there was still trash behind the seats. I was charged so much money only to end up with such a dirty and unsanitary vehicle. During a pandemic? Really?MALLEN R.

I did not now that I was being charged separately for miles used. I have rented vehicles in the past and have always had so many to start with and then charged extra if I went over them. What a rip off. My $19.00 rental.ended up costing me a redicouluse 88.00. Rip off never again.Regina R.

I was overcharged on my account for a cleaning fee and gas I do not owe. I have video proof of the cleaning and of the gas before and after. You can improve for the next customer by making sure that all of your information is accurate and to not overcharge peoples account.Marronica R.

The online reservations seemed relatively easy but when "picking up the vehicle" the online reservation said there was a problem and to call a certain number. I called and was on hold a very long time. I gave up and went to the front desk. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful. Nothing better than real people.DANIEL DAVID G.
We ordered a 20 ft truck weeks in advance and ordered movers through you guys as well. 25 minutes before our scheduled pick up we get a call that they don't have a truck for us because the people before us did not return in time. Was then told there was no other trucks anywhere and they were working to try to find us one. Was then told they found a 17 foot truck for us at a location a bit farther away, which was not a problem. Got to the location to find out they did not have a 17 foot truck but a 10 foot truck (HALF THE SIZE OF THE TRUCK WE NEEDED). I took the truck because at that point I didn't have much of a choice because movers were on their way. The small truck was not ideal as we had to make 3 trips instead of just 1 trip and it hindered our time with the movers as well since we were paying them for drive time as well. We received no compensation from you guys for this inconvenience and I am extremely unhappy with the overall experience.Ashley P.

This was the worst rental process I have been through with a U-Haul experience. I reserved a truck 3 days before we needed the truck and was informed everything was a go and the truck was reserved no problem. The night before we need the truck I get a text from U-haul telling me the truck I had reserved in good faith was no longer available . The closest place that U-haul reserved a truck for my use is 20 to 30 minutes away from my place meaning I now am driving there to pick it up and another 20 to 30 minutes back to my place to load it up. This is completely inconvenient. U-haul did try to adjust for this but when I go to pick up the truck at this new location, the truck is not there and ready to go. They did not even offer a replacement truck with several parked there already. We now have to come back to get the truck so another hour has been wasted. I now return to pick up the truck and it has not been cleaned properly. The floors are filthy and the cup holders have crud in them, The only reason I used the truck is I had no choice because we were running out of time to move the stuff. I return the truck in the same condition that the truck was given to me now U-haul wants to charge me an additional cleaning charge. That is completely unacceptable. We should be given a refund for the way this situation was handled.Ronald M.

He claimed my reservation had been cancelled and told me they were closed when I arrived to pick up my truck even though I had a confirmation email. He didn't wear a mask and he had a roll of toilet paper on the counter with Obama's face in it. Totally racist, anti-masker. I will never rent a truck from UHaul again.Aaron L.

I was only able to pick up the truck from this location due to an issue with the trailer and the previous customer that had it. The issue was nothing at all to do with Truck and Tool rental, where I recieved excellent service and great communication. Uhaul changed my trailer reservation multiple times and I had several issues trying to get the thing, had to make several phone calls and ended up getting it over 6 hours late.Maria A.

It was very easy and simple with the no contact. I couldn't get my lock box open, but the man working was very kind and helpful and got the key for me. Would definitely use this location agian.shelby J.
We went to pick up the truck at the noted location on the reservation and they said they are not renting vehicles because of the virus, but we were never notified of this. Went to another U Haul to see about getting a truck as my sister drove 5 hrs to pick this truck up to get some items to take back home but they didn't have any trucks. While we waited for them to check on our reservation I got a call from the place they changed it to, but never told us. The gentleman at the place we did pick the truck up at was very nice and tried to get us out as soon as possible. Over an hour later we were finally off with the truck. The truck smelled like cigarette smoke and driving in it was like being in a wind tunnel, it was so bad you couldn't even hear the radio. There was no ramp on the vehicle as advertised and loading without a ramp was very difficult. Then later that night I got a call saying we had until the following day to pick up the truck when we had already gotten it. Very bad communication with U Haul to its customers!COLENE M.

First of All the renter never said please go and read the contract before leaving. Just gave us the keys and we were off never told us we had to take photos of the milage and cab so we got over charged for that. Before we had even taken the truck they had charged my card. Even though it wasn't supposed to happen until we had turned and the milage counted. Which resulted in an over draft to my account Never mentioned a cleaning fee could have told us and we would have taken car of everything. Just gonna charge them 50 bucks even though. The dude renting out the trucks clearly never moves. Don't use this location so many others. First getting a uhaul never going back.Aaron P.

Have the correct truck on hand the customer reserved. Better communication. Need to explain to the customer if you are closed how to access the keys and return the truck. I rented my truck at 1:13 pm, finished updating the incorrect information and doing my walk around at 2:06 at which point I got an message stating "your rental is due back in 4 hours at 5:15 pm". I lost over 45 minutes of my rental from the get go. To finish everything the rental experience when I brought the truck back it took over 1.5 hours of me trying everything, to get the truck checked back in to hopefully avoid the $20 for not doing my own check in, and then I get charged for another use anyways? Very horrible experience. I even had to call uhaul customer service and try to get help on check in.jeremy H.
