I was not pleased the way my return was handled. Fortunately I took photos of the odometer and fuel gauge before I left the establishment and upon returning it. I rented a 26ft truck on April 6, 2024 drove off the lot at 8:32 a.m. and returned at 6:50 p.m. April 6, 2024 Upon my return I handed the key to the very same person who wrote up the contract for the use of the truck that morning. He also took possession of the appliance dolly and took it inside the building. I made sure I had the same amount of fuel in the truck as it had when I left that morning. I received my bill in an email today and found that I was charged for a two day rental, adding an additional $39.95 for the daily rental charge and $10 more for the appliance dolly. I was also charged $15 for 3 gallons of gas. I called the place when I rented the truck and he person who I had been dealing with told me he can't handle it I had to call corporate. I called corporate and they were very pleasant and helpful. I sent them the photos I had taken and since this is a third party establishment she forwarded the information to the person who handles this in the area. It was not a very good day for me renting a u-haul truck. I was sent to this location by corporate and was told I would get the truck for only $19.95 since I had to drive 10 miles out of my way to get it because the first location I had reserved the truck from had the truck but the key was not in the lock box. I could not wait around any longer for the manager of that location to come in since I had people waiting for me to assist in my move and now I was behind schedule. When I arrived at this location they had no idea what I was talking about, and I had to pay the full price of $39.95. U-haul did refund my money from the first location and gave me a $50 reservation guarantee, but I ended up having to pay for the extra miles, 20 in all so that was an additions $23.80 then this guy had the audacity to charge me for three gallons more of fuel.

My equipment that I rent it didn't work properly so I didn't have My money back. How was returning the equipment? As soon as I find out they have problems. But I didn't have my money back

Rented a pickup for local use. Cigarette lighter and trash were left in the cup holder and sand was in the floor when I picked it up. Starting mileage was 1151 but when I got the email receipt they had recorded it as 1144. I drove it 30 miles exactly and filled it up with gas. The rental was supposed to be about $48 but they billed my card $60. I haven’t had time and don’t feel like arguing over the difference but I do think I was over charged by $11-$12.

Pickup location was great, but the drop off location was horrible. Because of that, that affects my overall review. A review is just that. A review of the person or company and how I feel about them based on several factors.

Associate working on day of return was not answering phone or did he acknowledge our presence once we went into building. We ask for a receipt showing the unit was returned in good condition which we did not receive. We called several times after we left and no one answered. Went back to the store on Monday morning and same person was there. Again he promised a receipt within five minutes which again we received. After waiting thirty minutes we called the corporate office file a complaint. After telling them the problem the person said they would handle the situation. And send us a receipt which we finally received in just a few minutes. We found out the unit we had returned had not been checked in at all and additional charges would have been added onto our account due to the negligence of the employee. Not a good feeling ….

When I arrived at the place the vehicle was not there one of the guys said the other took it to get a soda. He had to call for him to return the van. Next when i got the van and open the door to leave the van smelled like marijuana. I goes back n tell them i don’t smoke and I can’t drive a vehicle smell like smoke. He responded he didn’t have time to clean it. The reservation was for 12 and it was already at this time 1 so if it wasn’t clean at the time of my reservation at 12 the company wasn’t plan on cleaning to it now 1pm I asked to speak to the owner both gentleman act Asif they didn’t hear me. Worst customer service I ever had with U-Haul and will never recommend this location

The only issue I see was that I rejected CDW for this rental and was still charged for it. Not a huge deal but still unexpected. Rental was less than 1 hour - easy pick up, easy return. Friendly employees!

I arrived at 7:30 P.M. Lighting was poor. Was probably fine during day. Space I was requested to back trailer into was tight entering from street. Lot was extremely full (sign of lot of drop offs). Young man waiting on me was helpful in directing me as I backed the trailer into its spot off the road. I was told I would receive a receipt in about 15 minutes. I had not received the next morning and called the office. I received a receipt within a few minutes. I believe some of these issues were a result of my returning the trailer at the last minute, very close to closing time. Would not hesitate to utilize this facility again.
