Customer service with actual U-Haul call center was terrible! The location was amazing but when I needed help with picking up and called the 800 number I got the run around and it’s the reason I will never book with U-Haul again. Terrible experience

Service at the location was good. HOWEVER, U-Haul (corporate) failed me during my move. My reserved trailer was NOT present at the location for my designated pick-up time. U-Haul did NOT notify me of the issue prior to pick-up. I was unpleasantly surprised when I arrived at 8am to find I needed to rent a truck instead of a trailer and to coordinate all the logistics changes that come with a change of that nature. The rental cost was also higher. Logistics issues happen; I understand that. There is no excuse for U-Haul's communication failure or lack of acceptable restitution and accommodation. I will consider alternative means during my next move.

I’ve used the Dumfries Riad location before and this is the FIRST time I have been SO DISAPPOINTED in U-Haul Service. I reserved my truck 2 weeks in advance only to be told the day before that I had to pick it up 25 miles from my home. Then they called not an hour later to tell me they HAD NO TRUCK ??. They finally found one in a inconvenient location I had to travel too. They gave me 30 extra miles which I didn’t need and didn’t offer to pay for my gas to go to the other location and drive the truck back to my house. The truck also didn’t have 1/2 tank as contract states. I can forward you the pic that was taken of the gas tank. It was only 1/4 filled yet I returned it at 1/2 tank. What is the point of making a reservation at a particular destination and it not available? Very disappointed.

The location was changed at the last minute from another preferred location. This required a 2 hour round trip for me to pick up the trailer due to Friday afternoon traffic on I95. This is exactly why I chose the other location. I don’t understand the purpose of making an online reservation and receiving confirmation when it was changed at the last minute without options. I had to leave work early to plan for the traffic. It should not have been an option if it could not be covered by uhaul

Location was a bit difficult to find, but I put that blame on Triangle, Va. The folks at this location were very friendly and helpful. And, best of all, there wss ZERO wait time when I picked up my truck!

The folks at Triangle Service Center were fantastic, and I was grateful for the phone call the day prior letting me the truck was ready. The storage area of the truck was very clean, but the cab was a mess--dog hair everywhere, windows covered in dried dog slobber, and spilled sticky stuff on the dashboard.

I used the car trailer for less than 24 hours, but I paid $416 (includes tax and insurance) and "allowed to keep it 3 days". There should be a rate for one day usage. My gripe is with UHaul, not either of the two UHaul facilities

I reserved a dolly for 8 am, Nov. 5. When I arrived the rental agent said "she had no one to connect the unit to my truck until 12 noon, and it was raining." I called a few hours after we finally got things underway to inquiry of the cost to convert the local rental into a one way rental. She said the cost would be $372.00. They had to add a punishment cost for changing my mind. When I returned the dolly on time, I concluded a peaceful transition by say, "I wish God would forgive her bigotry." Never in life would I ever return to that rental site. Gary Lewis
