Lies and lies. They told me clear this was $295 FLAT rate, ended up being almost $400. I called 5 times to resolve my issue with these lies and not only I didn't get ANY help, 2 of your managers hung up on me! I will never use you guys again and definitely will tell everyone about my extremely unprofessional behavior of every single person I talked to. You guys used me when I actually had better options , then when it was too late, the truth came out. Really shame on all of YOUSanaz V.
I had a horrible experience with this location. I signed up for repmote pickup. However, they changed it to hand pick up. I had to wait their for two hours to get the key. I was supposed to get a truck at 6PM and I got it at around 8PM. I called the manager of that location and he said they can't find the key and they previous customer didn't return the key (Complete B.S.). They even didn't provide a dolly (told me previous customer didn't return it either). My movers left the spot and I had to do it myself and took a long time to load my stuffs. Don't recommend to anyone.Mohammad R.
Location has no signage. Not even a location! It's some other business' lot that was hidden behind another business. Also in a scary area (homeless tent city area). Lastly key drop box was hidden. I had to call personnel there three times to locate place, then to walk me through where drop box was....which was connected to the side of yet another business' building. There were many challenges to the U-Haul drop off. First the address that was on my order confirmation was a CHP building, and the actual drop off location was about 1 mile away. The actual drop off location doesn't have clear signage and the front gate was locked so we had to go around the back to get in. The drop off location is a shared parking lot with other businesses so it was also unclear where we needed to deliver the truck. Finally it seems like the drop off company is a lone individual so when you call the number during business hours you may still get voicemail and it leads to a cellphone (not a business line with additional details). Drop off was frustrating and took about 45 minutes longer than it should have.SONAL P.

A huge thank you to Dimitrios Champlaie!! He went over and above to help me get the truck and trailer turned in. He was professional and always answered the phone or returned my call within a few minutes (I called quite a few times). He completely took care of my truck/trailer return and I really appreciate his attentiveness because the moving trip was stressful. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a professional experience. Thank you!!Jan P.

I rented on June 15, 2020 and dropped off the next day June 15, 2020. Nobody helping just dropped the key at the mailbox. I got the bill over $500. Got charge for 8 Days. This is how you make money.DUANGTHIDA S.
Remove this pick up location from your list. I had to wait 2 hours for someone to show up and check me in even though initially I choose for mobile pick up, this location was not actually setup for self-serve pick up. There is no lock box to pick up the keys. I had to call customer service 3 times to ask for help and when they finally got a hold of the guy that was â€œsupposedâ€ to come, I was told his name was â€œFranciscoâ€ with a full on description of the guy, however, someone completely different showed up over an hr later to check me in on their device. I was than told my credit card wasn't on file, my alternative phone number wasn't there and at the end, I didn't get to check what mileage or how much gas was listed on their file before taking the car. The guy that checked me in, called â€œFranciscoâ€ and asked if he can finish off the check in process in his end so he can give me the keys and let me be on my way and that's exactly what happened. I was forced by the call center to go to this location when I had originally select a different location and the reason is because the truck they wanted me to pick up, actually belongs to the location where I would be returning it to, so therefore, they routed me to take that truck for the sake of their convenience. I would not recommend using this pick up location at all. There were two trucks sitting in a bone yard full of broken down cars. Location was secluded, so not ideal for someone to go without their own car.Ka K.

When I showed up to the "Downtown Uhaul location" it was a fenced lot with no signs in the middle of a sketchy industrial suburb. The guy wasn't even there. I called and he told me to leave the truck in this sketchy alley with the keys inside and doors unlocked. Then he lied and said I didn't fill it up which I did. Charged me nearly $70 even though I absolutely filled it up. I have already filed a complaint. This company is a mess. I will try another company next time.Christopher T.
Location is in a junk yard/multiple used cars owned by different companies. Tri-Coastal did not have a building. We called the company and had to wait 20 minutes for the owner to meet us at the uhaul rental. This was the only uhaul rental in the lot of used cars. Location is very sketchy. Owner did not check ID and did not disclose all fees included. We were charged more than what we thought it would be because there were multiple hidden fees. For drop off, the owner advised us to put the keys inside the uhaul and call when we dropped it off since he didn't stay on site. Horrible location and service.leticia H.

Reservations don't mean ANYTHING. I choose a location near my current location and 2 days before my move they sent me to another place with the wrong address. It was not a U-haul location. It looked like a used car dealership. Furthermore, they did not have all of the equipment I order. I ordered a truck, blankets, a utility dolly and a car hauler. The only thing at the "used car" location was the truck. Also, the guy helping me on a laptop on the hood of his car outside in the rain was new and had a supervisor on the phone helping him check me in. When I asked where the rest of my order was, the guy did not know. He was nice enough to drive my truck (and I followed) to my original pick up location, where I asked where the rest of my equipment was located. The clerk stated they did not have anything and called another location. She stated that they had the rest om my order. I left my car at my this second location and drove the truck to the third location. They DID NOT have the rest of my equipment. I asked I need the car hauler, where can I get a car hauler? She looked on the computer and found one in Shingle Springs, CA which is quite a distance from my Sacramento address. I called them to tell them I would be there in the afternoon and to not give the hauler to someone else. I went back to my apartment, loaded up the truck and drove to Shingle Springs. I go the car hauler hooked up to the truck and then drove back to Sacramento to get my car. All total I wasted 3 and 1/2 to 4 hours chasing down my "reserved" equipment. This is unacceptable, crappy customer service. When I move again, I will NOT use U-haul. I will NEVER use U-haul again and if anyone asks for my advise I will tell them NOT to use U-haul.Joseph B.

We showed up at the requested time to pick up our uHaul and were told that our uHaul was at a different location. They sent us about 7 miles further from the original location. The second location was a junk yard in the middle of nowhere. We felt very unsafe. Upon reaching our second uHaul location, we found out that we had to download the uHaul app and and begin checking in process. This took 45 min because they have so many requests to make sure that the person picking up the uHaul is you. By the time I got the uHaul, it was 1:45 minutes after my original booking time. Meanwhile I had to pay 3 guys their wages. Lastly when I went to fill up the uHaul, the gas gage was not working properly. It took 3 minutes after turning the car on to show how full it was. Due to this problem, I ended up filling the tank to 3/4 full instead of 1/3. When I brought up my concerns to customer service, not only they were not apologetic, they wanted to offer me a $15 discount for my future rental. There is no way I will ever rent from uHaul in the future.Babak A.
