Ensure all trailer lights are operating. The driver's side tail light located in front of fender was inoperative making it impossible to see the trailer behind you at night.PHILLIP K.

I cant believe It cost me 84. dollars for a 19.95 rental. I understand some people messed up for others, but this you have to get the insurance is not good. that is my only complaint. my credit card company covers insurance, also my regular insurance covers rental.ALVIN P.

The key didnt even work for the uhaul i had to sit there at my furst destination n frantically try to get it to work because u have to constantly turn it on n off. Then the back smelled heavily of marijuana (even though owner agreed he couldnt smell) so i returned this uhaul without finishing my work i needed done and went to another place to get help with moving.DESTINEY K.
I rented a pull behind trailer for a couple hours. Was told it only was going to cost $32.00. Ended up getting charged $107 on my card. When I called to see what happened I was told that I needed to call the 1-800 #. Still haven't gotten it resolved.STEPHEN S.

Everything was great. The owner went above & beyond to help us. None of the uhaul franchises besides this one. Wants there or the company owned vehicle to go out of state. The one in Red Bluff said we'd have to fly to Oregon. Rent a truck. Drive back to California, then drive back up to Oregon. That no one was going to rent to us. She refused to help us. The owner at this business was more than whiling. I'm extremely happy he was. BTW as I told the lady In Red Bluff I can't drive or fly. I have seizures. I didn't have enough money to pay for that. She wasn't willing to us as I said & got rude with me. Go to Travelers there more than worth it. Have a great day.KIMBERLY L.

Moving is always stressful but the owners of the Cottonwood, California location were very courteous, highly professional and made everything stress free. The system changed my pick up and drop off location from the one I chose when I started my reservation. It did this without prompting or alerting me of this change. So I went to pick up the rental at the location I chose the person said that I didn't have a reservation there but that is was two towns over. I barely had enough time to drive to the before they closed. It all worked out in the end, but was incredibly frustrating. All the system needed to do was say that the "rental wasn't available at location "A" but I could get it from "B," would you like to continue?"JASON H.

I have used several different U-Haul sites over the years with generally good service. However, this U-HAUL site in Cottonwood, Ca (Travelers Motel) provides the best customer service I have experienced. They do a great job and I appreciate their excellent work ethic.ETHERT B.

I spoke to several people on line they were very nice and helpful not every on had the correct information and several mistakes were made in my reservation. That was no problem. I was told by three different people on the phone the night before that the location opened at 8:00 started checking people in at 8:30 and I had until 9:30 to check in or I might loose my truck. I checked in on line at about 9:00. I was at the pick up location at 9:18. I showed up at the location to see a frantic and running around with a cup of coffee and a woman yelling and screaming at him. She was in her pajamias and slippers with the sleep boogers still in her eyes, hair unbrushed. It looked as if they had just rolled out of bed. I walked into the office and behind me another woman walked in. The frantic woman completed the customer already standing there and I said I am her for the 26 foot truck. She immediately took the woman behind me and proceed the conduct business with her. She did not have a reservation and it took about 30 minuted to complete the transaction. At no point did she ask the woman for any sort of ID which I thought at the time to be odd. Thought the proceeded she continued to berate me for being late I tried to explain to her that 3 Uhaul employees told me I had until 9:30 so I was following the directions they had given me. She stopped to look up something on the computer and then blurted out " Well the one who made your reservation was on her first day" I told her that was not my problem because I was told by three employees to drive no later then 9:30. At one point her husband jumped in saying " Well If you have a Doctors appointment at 8:00 you can't show up at 8:30 because they won't see you" HOW THE HELL DOES THE APPLY !!! I said well if your Doctor told you to show up between 8:30 and 9:30 and you showed up at 9:18 he would see you!!! he continued. My kids wren looking at this guy like WHAT THE HELL IS HE TALKING ABOUT. He continued to argue and ever the sentence stated I not going to argue with you. It was to say the very least one of the most bizarre business transactions I have ever experienced. Once she began to check me in she immediately demanded my ID. I questioned her as I had photographed my ID when I completed the online check in, I also asked why she did not ID the woman prior to me. She refused to answer so I handed her my ID. We completed the transaction and she went out to yell across the yard at the man, he yelled back " I can only do so much"!!!! literally a dumpster fire shit show. He pulled up the truck and began unloading blankets. The truck and not been cleaned out at all prior to our arrival. There was trash in the cab and a pack of gum. He offered us the gum ( Yuck). The gas was suppose to be in a half of a tank it was much closer to 1/4 but even if it was on empty I would not have gone back into complain as the experience was so horrible. I would imagine I have rented 20 plus trucks in my life I am a Realtor so I often recommend Uhaul. I have always had a good experience and a few time there have been mess ups we are all human. The experience I had in Cottonwood California was a nightmare. While in the office I took photos of two signs. One said " My Doctor told me to start killing people, Well not in those words. He told me to reduce my stress". Under normal circumstances that might be funny, however very unprofessional. Second sign said "Mandate you must wear a mask. YOUR CHOICE ! Grumpiness is NOT allowed" Neither one of them wore a mask. I get this is most likely a privately owned U-Haul however they bare your name. They are making you look very very bad.Carlla W.

I had problems getting up to my drop off point due to the owners of the house we were purchasing. After 45 min being late l recieved a phone call from a man at the drop off and l informed him that we had problems and would bring the truck in as soon as possible. I was informed it would cost an extra $50.00. I then recieved a phone call from his wife. What a very unprofessional woman she was on the phone. I told her l was bringing the truck back asap. Not good enough for her. She said she lost money because somebody wanted the truck and we were to pay $50.00 for each person they had to turn down because of no truck. Rudely. Why can't you honor your contract? I explained and she replied that my problem was not her problem and was very upset that l did not HONOR TBE CONTRACT! After hearing her talk on my speaker phone, my brother-in-law asked who the hell is that woman talking like that? I explained that she must own UHAUL because no employee of mine would talk to a customer like that. If you look at your records, you will see that your the years that l have spent thousands of dollars renting from UHAUL. I honored my word and returned the truck with 16 hours remaining. If they were so busy they could have called the customer who was waiting and made money from them while charging me extra since there is no incentive to return early. Especially to a very rude Uhaul owner. Would l recommend the Cottonwood location to any friends, NO WAY. WILL I RENT FROM THERE, ABSOLUTELY NOT WITH HER AT THE COUNTER. l hung up on her after l explained twice and said l would get it there ASAP. She is not my wife, she should not talk to any customer like she did to me. If the woman who l returned the truck to was the same woman on the phone she had a different attitude.
