I called Uhaul to extend for another day. They extended it for the day, then I get a call from the Uhaul dealership I rented it from asking if I could drive the van 17 mile to another dealership, because it wasn't theirs and it needed to go back from University Place to Federal Way. The van also drove a little rough, driving without even stepping on the gas ⛽️
Sherri CI often rent from this location. Always a pleasure with easy communication, check in and return process is smooth. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Deanne BI had an issue trying to fill up the U-Haul before I dropped it off - I think there was a dent in the tank or something, but every gas station I took it to would trigger the automatic shutoff so I couldn't put gas in it. I had to return it short and take the penalty, which is really unfortunate.

Trista WThe gas is frustrating. I filled the tank to what it was when I got the truck but I was billed $7 to fill it more. All trucks should be sent and returned with a FULL tank and then we wouldn't have to guess. Additionally, the pictures I was sent were nothing like the actual damage to the truck. I don't want to be charged for damage I didn't do. Update the pictures.

Herbert TI really like this location because there are a few on site parking spots. It is easy to get to. I have used the UHaul location on Bridgeport and Pac Hwy S, and it is rather inconvenient. This location in University Place is much more accessible. I also like how I can do almost everything from check out to check in on my phone. Much more easy than it used to be! Well done.
Joseph BA tire blew and I nearly went off the road and nearly got hit. I am surprised and shocked at how the tire was not checked properly.

Armando LIt's 2019, why in the hell do you NOT have cruise control installed on every one of your vehicles if not only the one way trucks. The customer service was great but the fact that there was no cruise control made the 20 hour trip miserable. Step up your game Corporate and spend the extra $100 per truck to get the damn cruise control installed.

David WThe online/reservation experience was HORRIBLE!! I went and choose my truck and location with time to pickup the rental. Thought that the rental was good all to get a call while I'm arty work that the place closes at 1. My reserved time was 4 U-Haul should have known this an Directed me to another location As it was I was lucky and able to get out for a few mins to pickup the keys to the truck. But then while checking in you guys at U-Haul tried to start my time early!! Saying that the truck I rented from 4-4 would be due back at 11:30 because that is when I did the check out. Which u had to do because I was not informed earlier by your company. The storage place I rented from was very nice and considerate. And understood my frustration apologizing for the inconvenience. I was able to call and have the time pitched back to the 4 p.m. return time. It just was not a call I feel needed to have been made. And truly did waste my time.
Russel UBetter communication between corporate and each site. We had agreed to return the truck to Federal way to save some money, even though it was quite a bit out of our way. When we got there, an hour after closing, we discovered that they do not allow after hours drop off. So we returned to the UP site in our neighborhood, but the app wouldn't let us drop it off there either. So we had to wait until morning which caused us to miss work. Staff was helpful and gave good customer service, but someone should have known about the restriction in federal way before renting to us, and/or the phone app should have allowed us to make changes.

Melinda WThe Uhaul after hours drop off requirement of using cell phones absolutely sucks. If it weren't for the fact that I know and trust the family that runs the location I rented from I would use another vendor. The after hours drop off process is not as clean and sweet as your video. I hate it. I love the people at Town Center Storage so you get my business.
Philip TWhen we have to take pictures, be sure we can do so w/ample lighting & also show FULL gas tank. We filled up full tank but it stated I put in only 7/8 tank. not true!
kathy sWe did not have any problems with either location, however, we did have issues with customer service not updating our contract when we needed to change drop off location resulting in being threatened with a fine.

Tamara LThe vehicle was layered with dirt (as if hauling plants), the interior storage was not worthy of packing my belongings, we spent time cleaning and preparing the vehicle to load, the truck was dirty and covered with bugs, the fuel was less than 3/4 full, and it smelled of cigarettes. I will not go further into other details...Not a happy outbound renter! This is not what I expected or felt was an appropriate expectation for my rental experience. Yet, the vehicle performed very well and I appreciate the use for my move to AZ.

Tim PInitially I thought the experience was good, all standard stuff. However the truck was filthy (exterior); I had to call and tell the agent that the tank WASN'T FULL (only 5/8); when returning the truck they discovered I had the wrong truck. I've been charged too much and now need to return to figure out final costs...……..was charged to return gas tank to full, all in all a cluster.

Abbe BOriginally I made a reservation OVER A MONTH AGO at the location on 12th St. & L in Tacoma. The truck that I had reserved was not there and the employee was rude and not helpful. I even called the day before to verify and was told the truck is there. I had to track down another truck in University Place and ultimately was charged extra miles bc I had to go out of my way to get this truck. Why bother creating a reservation when the equipment is not there anyway? There were three other families at 12th and L in Tacoma who had their reservations cancelled or unfulfilled. Glitchy computer equipment, a rude salesmen and no trucks. I've been a paying customer with uhaul for years and I will never use this company again.

Leonard rProblem with check in. Tried to charge for fuel and surcharge for fuel even though I added more fuel than I used before I returned it. Representive at counter was able to fix, however if I returned truck after hours, it would have been an issue
jeffery iWhen I arrived at the rental place, I was expecting to have the equipment I had reserved 3-4 week prior, to be ready and available to me. I had reserved a dolly. When I got there I was told they were all gone and to drive to another location 3 miles away (mind you they charge by the mile). I was offered no apology, just an excuse of "UHAUL needs to do a better job at managing their rentals". I mentioned that I was moving alone and required the dolly to complete the move. I was told to go pick one up at the other location. I left with the 15' truck and went to the "other" location, only to wait in line and be told they do not have dollys. I had now wasted 6 miles (or $6.00-they charged .99 per mile) driving to the location they told me to go to. I ended up having to find help to move. Upon returning the truck I stopped and re-fueled to bring it back at the 3/8th of a tank I was given, I checked the gauge before leaving the station and got the needle to what appeared to be 3/8th tank. The next day I was charge an additional $13.50 because I apparently fueled to in between 1/4 and 3/8th....are you kidding me!!?? And of course I was charged for the miles I had to drive to go get a dolly which neither location had. I will NOT go back to this location and will NOT recommend. Very poor customer service and ethic.

Kim PLinking with the UHaul website didn't work when I picked up the vehicle nor when I returned it. I took photos as instructed but was unable to upload them. I was charged $6.75 for a gallon of fuel, though I returned the vehicle with 3/4 tank of gas as instructed. I emailed the location, attaching the photo of the odometer and fuel gauge and requested a credit for the fuel charge. I got no response.
Geraldine EThis location and the family that runs it are awesome. The only negative is UHaul policy, circumstances I had no control over made me 40 minutes late. I had to pay for an extra day. I was informed that anything over 30 minutes is an "extension". While I understand UHaul is a business, a little more humanity would have been nice. But the family here is great and their storage facility is top notch clean and kept up. That all reflects back on UHaul for me.
