My experience was very disheartening. I had a 48hr quote saved online to secure my storage rental with Top Shelf Storage for 8/14, however, it didn't allow an option to pay online. And I was quoted with intent to pay in person. The morning of the reservation date, I went to the facility to confirm and pay for the storage, only to be left sitting at the access gate for over 40 mins trying to get in to talk with someone. I called the facility several times and left a voice message. After no response, I chatted with a live rep who found out that the facility was closed. I explained to them that there was no public information that stated that. I then called the 800 Uhaul #. I spoke with another rep who verified that the facility was indeed closed (with no further details). She was kind enough to attempt to find me another storage facility closer that had the size unit that I needed. Fortunately, she found one, but I was going to end up paying MORE and it was further away from my home. I was very upset, but relieved at the same time. None of my requested equipment was there. The trucks were parked right on top of each other with tiny tight road to get out. The app or site wouldn't let me self pick up for over an hour at mid night Won't ever be backstefano P.
I had requested a furniture dolly, a appliance dolly and a hand truck with 12 moving pads. none were in the truck when I picked it up. I went to another location to get them and all they had was the Pads and Hand truck. I was still charged for the equipment not in the truck. If equipment not available you should let me know so I could have gotten it elsewhere. It caist me extra money and time as I had to purchase the items you did not have available.RICHARD F.

Management did not return calls nor answer consistently during office hours. A lock was placed on my unit for not payment incorrectly and then they tried to cover it up as if it wasn’t an error on managements side . They tried to edit payment dates to make it appear as it was not their error in placing the lock . They tried to charge me after I moved out when I was not to be charged due to the error in placing a lock incorrectly on my unit causing me not to be able to empty my unit before the next billing cycle . The only issue I had was not being able to complete the pick up process as a mobile transaction like it was scheduled. The associate said they had keys to our rental truck in the office so we did have to go in to complete the rental process. Still, it was quick and easy.Rachael W.

Couldn't get in touch with anyone except for once, but wasn't much help. I don't completely blame them though. We were returning the truck after hours and the app didn't want to work. I was referred to call U-Haul so I did. I waited 50 minutes before giving up. I tried again the next day choosing the options to get in touch with the app help same, no answer. So I tried sales and got an answer in 2 minutes. Two areas of opportunity. Fix the app. Better customer service for current customers.GAVRIEL H.

She didn't know what to do with a trailer. She said it was different than trucks. She had a hard time getting someone on the phone to help her. After the third call she was able to get ahold of someone but that person didn't seem to know passwords either. The lady who helped me was very nice but just didn't seem to have been trained properly. It took me about a half hour to get checked out and I was the only customer there. The vehicle was old and miserable to drive. I will never rent another one again. There were no supplies and the rep didn't know how to find out if they had supplies or how to do the check in and it took forever causing a delay which ultimately lead to me having to keep the U-Haul an additional day because I couldn't gain access to where I needed to move items.mAEGAN R.
