Have the center open ON TIME, not an hour and a half late. Make sure the equipment is cleaned out and no trash or dirt is left in the equipment. Have working printers for receipts.James H.

Where I dropped the trailer off was great! The problem I had is with the original location that I was to drop it off at. CCs, no one was there and when I finally got someone on the phone, they were going to try and get someone over there but 15 minutes later I still hadn't heard from them. So I called the location where I did drop it off to confirm that I could.DOUGLAS N.
I ended up at Tony's Service Center to rent a U-Haul cause I had reserved one in the town i live in and when I got there to pick it up a guy there said the people were out of town and had been for week. So I had to call around and look for another place that had one was Tony's , I had to drive to another which meant more miles and time out of my day of moving. I feel like if you can reserved online at a place that it should be available when you get there.Misty M.

First the location and truck I reserved was changed by Uhaul to a location farther away- which is a problem when you charge by the mile. I was told that the location I requested did not have the truck size I requested,, however the day of the move there was a truck available on the lot I originally booked,, so I'm not sure of the mix up there. Secondly, I requested moving pads and a dolly along with the truck rental, neither were present making moving large furniture and appliances very difficult that day. There was no personnel on site during pick up or drop off to address this issue. I have called multiple times and been left on hold for more than 10-15 minutes each time to attempt to resolve the issue and reverse charges on the items I was not provided. In addition, the online pick up process was timely. It took an hour start to finish. One of the associates on the online chat assisted me through 95% of the process dropped the chat and I had to begin over again, taking another 15 minutes to provide the same information I had already provided. All in all the move was completed but the U-haul portion was the worst part of the day. I have used this service before and have been pleased in the past, however this time was a huge frustration.Jennifer T.

It isn't that I would not recommend this PLACE. The PLACE is fine. The problem is UHAUL. I DO NOT RECOMMEND UHAUL to anyone!!! They charged me $100.00 deposit. I have still not gotten it back and it's been over a month!!! It says to call if you have a question, but there's NO PHONE NUMBER!!!!!! They did this to me a few years ago. The people kept telling me it wasn't them, it was Uhaul. I thought they were passing the buck. Now I see it really was Uhaul. UHAUL WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND KEEP IT!!!! DO NOT USE UHAUL!!!anita C.

DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!! I checked in online and found that Tony's Service Center had left the keys in the truck. I cranked the truck and left Tony's Service Center. The center then called the police stating the truck had been stolen!!! As I was driving the vehicle to my home for the move, I had to deal with the local police, which required waiting on a 2nd officer to arrive. I found out from the police that Tony's had recently had a truck stolen and that's why they took the action. SO WHY WOULD THEY BE SO STUPID AS TO LEAVE THE KEYS IN THE TRUCK!!!!! WHY DID THEY NOT CONFIRM WITH THE CENTRAL UHAUL OFFICE THAT THE VEHICLE WAS RETRIEVED BY THE ACTUAL RENTER!!! INCREDIBLE!!! I WILL NEVER USE THIS LOCATION AGAIN!!!! IT DELAYED MY MOVE BY AT LEAST 45 MINS THANKS TO THEIR STUPIDITY!JOSEPH B.
Stop using dealers. The Gastonia,NC West Franklin blvd and Bessemer City, NC locations both are literally and obviously racist and prejudice. West Franklin Blvd refuse to swear by my reservations price and told me they couldnt do it and I would have to go ti a Uhaul center. Which confused me because they are dealers for Uhaul. Both locations are Nasty mechanic shops. Nasty attitude. And focused on their own business vs both their business and uhaul customers. My wife and I werent greeted or shown any customer service etiquette. West frankl iij n didnt want us going in their shop without a explanation as to why we were there. We Waited an hour and half to be greeted and taken care of at Bessemer City. East Franklin Blvd was very helpful over the phone.Kalauni G.

Since this is a garage, it took quite a bit of time for Tony, the owner, to come help me get the truck checked in. These guys are quite busy, which says something about their automotive services, in a good way. There wasn't much of any place to park the truck, so I parked it in a neighboring roadway, and Tony had to move the truck to check it in. That took some time because he had to get another employee to move some things to make space for it. This wasn't a bad experience, really, it just took some time and wasn't the easiest check-in.Matthew T.

Tony's advertised (website, sign on door, etc.) they open at 9am. I have a busy schedule on Wednesday, and drove 23 miles to return it to Tony's rather than a closer drop off to save money. I arrived at 9am, and waited until 10am (business had still not opened) and finally just did an online drop-off and left the trailer.Ron S.

Equipment was rusted and difficult to use. Assistance was required to use left-hand ramp; ramp completely rusted on top right and entirely unsafe. The chains were not appropriately attached. The tongue was not tightened onto the ball when the trailer was attached by the personnel at Tony's.Joy G.

My scheduled pick up time was 9am... Tony shows up 45 mins late.... I had hired help for a 2 hour window (9am-11am) therefore that started the day the wrong way.... then once he finally gets me the keys without any info about mileage, fuel gage, or truck return policy, etc. the battery wouldn't start in the truck I had reserved... I had to get a smaller truck that he said was the same price... I know it wasn't because I looked at pricing before reserving... he said â€œI'll give ya a discountâ€ which didn't happen... in fact an additional charge was taken from my account... he clearly shows zero professionalism... If I ever use Uhaul again (highly doubtful) I would never recommend using this location...Deborah G.

the guy working there was very nice,but the truck we got was junk, we got 5 miles down the road ABS,light came on,then the brake light came on with the dingging warning the whole time, then the engine light came on, we called back to tonys, and he said to just keep driving it, so we did. but the worst experince i have ever had renting from you guys, and not sure if i will ever again ?JOSEPH P.
I am a regular customer but I never experience sure bad service as this I rented a truck for only two hours I use maybe 20 miles when I return the truck I had to wait until he was done working on someone car for about 1 hour. I ask could he check me out and he told me to wait until he was done with what he was doing. He didn't check the mileage he did make sure I put gas back in and said I was good to go.i always use you guys but I feel like I was disrespected. Where do you want me to start? Uhaul had a week to get a tow dolly to the location I requested and couldn't make it happen. I had to go elsewhere to pick it up. Then only half of the lights worked. Go to drop it off at the location requested when reserved, they cant accept it because uhaul has set them up yet to accept or rent equipment. So I had to return at yet ANOTHER location not requested. To top it off, I have an unauthorized charge on my account for dropping the tow dolly off. In my strong personal opinion, DO NOT use uhaul again!Roger L.

I had a very bad experience with U-haul. I initially reserved a tow dolly at the East Franklin location in Gastonia. I had an 11:00 pick-up time because I had to tow a car to a location by 2:00 PM . After hooking my truck up to the tow dolly and checking turn signals, I was told that the right turn signal wasn't working on the tow dolly because I had a blown fuse in my truck and was instructed to get it replaced before I could take the tow dolly. It was unhooked from my truck and I took my truck to Pep Boys to get the fuses checked; however, they did not find a blown fuse. I went back to the uhaul on East Franklin and told the lady that I didn't have any blown fuses. She indicated that something must've chewed through my wiring and then cancelled my transaction. I didn't think there was a problem with my truck so I decided to stop by another U-haul location which was Tony's service center in Bessemer city. I explained to him what had transpired at the other location and he preceded to plug in a tool that checked all my signals on the truck. He found everything to be fine on my truck and stated that the problem had to be with their equipment, not my truck. By this time, it was already 1:30, but I went ahead and rented the equipment from the Bessemer City location. Due to the mistake made by the employee at the E Franklin location, I missed the deadline to have the car at its destination on time. I didn't arrive until 5:00 when I should've arrived at 2:00. The delay should've never happened because U-haul should have checked their equipment thoroughly instead of automatically assuming the problem was with my vehicle. When I asked the employee if it could possibly be their equipment, she said no because when they are returned, they are checked at that time. I feel that my delay was due to uhaul's negligence and feel that I should be reimbursed.Glenda L.

The truck was full of roaches! I was charged the rental fee and $50 towards the mileage and was charged again when I returned it, another rental charge of $59.90! I was never told about the additional charge when I rented it. Full of surprises that should have been told to me from the beginning.grace M.

I had to go to a location out of my way. Unexceptionable, what's the point of a reservation? With that said the location I did pick the truck did a good job. Very rude, the owner of this location ignored me and acted as if I didn't exist. I wouldn't recommend this location in Bessemer City to any miniroty.
