We used a 6x12 trailer to transport furniture to McKinney, TX for our son. We loaded the furniture, covered all wood furniture with quilts and blankets, made sure everything was secure, and threw in last minute small items before we left. Our journey was a wet one. It rained 4 of the five hours it took us to arrive but our furniture was safe inside, so we thought. Everything on the passenger side inside the trailer was soaked. Wooden furniture was soaked, the blankets were soaked, $200 Ariat boots were soaked, a queen and twin mattress pad topper was soaked, a twin bunkie board mattress was soaked, and our clothes in our duffel bag were wet. I filed an incident report when I returned the trailer in McKinney. My directions stated to call 18005280355 or visit uhaul.com and reference the incident report number on my paper. Tried that. Was told to call an insurance number. Tried that. 35 minutes on hold was all I could take. I have a life. I am very disappointed in the lack of follow up from my incident report. I had to refinish all the wood furniture, the boots are ruined because they did not fit properly after drying, and the list goes on. Terrible customer service from headquarters, not the fault of the independent dealers.

While we had several issues with Uhaul (corporate) changing our truck size, reserving a specific sized truck for us that we couldn’t even have, and then not having a truck available for us the day before our expected move date— our experience with Toms Service Center was very pleasant. She was very polite, sympathetic to our issues with corporate, and even gave us 50 free miles (since we had to pick up a Uhaul 45 miles away from our originally reserved location) and fresh made candies pecans.

I got there to pick up the uhaul I had reserved and it wasn't there, I had to drive 2 hours out of the way just to pick one up, after being on the phone with Uhaul for hours trying to figure it all out, I'll never use Uhaul again!!!

i did NOT received my equipment on time. My scheduled pick-up was 11:00 am BUT the equipment arrived 1:15 pm. I have to wait several hours for the equipment. Kathy was apologetic but the owner doesn't care at all. He never talked to me and apologize. The place is filthy and dis-organize. Come to this place and find out yourself.

This was the worst experience I've ever had but U-Haul my first reservation got cancelled without my knowledge no one emailed me or call me to let me know so I tried to go with a 10-foot truck they told me that inside of the trailer and I made another reservation for the next morning and Farmerville Louisiana they guaranteed me 100% there would be 15 foot truck on my way there I called you confirm my truck and the guy said he doesn't have any trucks there then finally around 11 am I finally got a truck there was no offer a discount there was no offer of extra mileage that was no offer anything for the inconvenience that I went through I will not recommend our use U-Haul again

I asked direct questions concerning price and issues with the contact and was given incorrect information that has ended up costing me more money. This location called me and told me I could pickup the evening before. I asked how much this would cost and specifically verified when drop would be and was told no extra charge and drop off would be Sunday. This was not correct. After signing drop off was told to me it would be a day earlier. I tried to resolve then but the person called someone and then I was told someone from uhaul would call me to correct. They did not call. I had to call to get it straight. That person in Little Rock was supposed to correct it but after drop off I was charged additional day.

They tried to charge me for an extra day because they said it was supposed to be turned in by 9 am. I told them what I was told when I picked it up and she got permission to take off the extra day. The person who called AFTER I picked up the truck to reply it in the system was supposed to discount my charges because of the poor experience from $167. To $100. Bout to find out.

Needs better organization, communication with customer. I was sent to facility that was unprepared to rent to me, would have had to wait 3 hrs for rental. I tracked down the trailer on my own with help from another facility. And this was over 60 miles from my house. Trailer was found only 20 miles from home. Wasted at least 2 hours.
