willie mThe app experience was less than efficient. Started the log in 10 minutes early - was called by the site as I was still filling things out, they walked me through the next steps. When returning the act of taking the pictures to show the condition would continuously reset, after the third time trying I just took random pictures more quickly so I could get through that step. It was very frustrating when there was noone to help with the check in.
Joshua HTommy was on top of his game and very helpful. It was raining that day, but he was quick and we got it done.
Peter Coverall, owner was courteous and able to help, but had some internet connection challenges and did not have the pads that we had requested. Truck was not cleaned at time of inspection, but owner swept it out and wiped down cab which took an additional 10 min to leave.

Milad WWhen checking out this equipment, I asked the young lady if I could drop the truck off at any U-HAUL dealer and I was told yes. I even called the 800 number to verify and I was told I may be charged a 40.00 wrong destination fee. I get my receipt and 245.00 is what I’m being charged. Now I expected something but not 245.00. This is not good business

Davon SThe people here made this all very difficult, when I got there 20 min early to get the truck I rented they weren’t there. The employee who only cleaned the trucks was rude saying he would not know when his boss gets back, and when he did he made it seem like I was crazy even though I waited for 20 minutes with no follow up. Same thing when I returned it, I came 30 min early and he was nowhere to be found.

Bridget SWell, the trailer was supposed to have a motorcycle chock, it was confirmed before pickup but there wasn’t one to be had in the entire Charlotte market. I had to make do without it. No consideration for the inconvenience.

I ran all over fucking North Carolina trying to get this dolly. The representative at Tommy’s that helped me was wonderful. Took time to help me and fix wiring issues on my truck. He went above and beyond.

Philp MThere was a line of four customers before me when I arrived to pick up the truck. It took almost a half hour to complete the rental, and the store was kind of odd. I don't know what they do there, but it was crammed full of all kinds of things and pretty messy. It's also in a not-so-nice part of town. I would not rent from this location again.
Robin HI am not a fan of having to email or text to verify I got the vehicle. I should be able to do all the necessary paperwork at the location and then go. I did not have time to text u-haul 5 minutes after picking up the vehicle. Then when I did not reply in time I see that I could be charged $20.00 for not verifying that I have the vehicle. Please simplify the rental process, not everybody is into texting and emails.

chellyann cMy complaints are with the app used to “automate”the return process. The authors need a class in UI design. The return location was altered from the reservation by Uhaul. The return location had no provisions for locking up the pads and dolly I rented at pickup. No one was there. The app is not ready for prime time.

Then he gave me the wrong keys, nothing I did, then he HUFF when i came back to get the right key. I barely spoke so no reason for his hostility to me.

Even the floor was spotless. I actually have already recommended this location to another person, I would use Tommy on the Spot Uhaul again.
