The “locations” - and I use plural for a reason were inadequate, had no desk times despite their internet saying they did, and no one to answer the phone. The “app” is neither easy, quick, nor convenient. The truck was nearly empty of gas, and being that I was now 3 hours BEHIND schedule with them, I filled the 26 footer full of gas. Turns out, i did over 100 miles less and had 5/8 of fuel left on a truck that had no more than a quarter of a tank in it when I rented it. They would t reimburse or even consider a civilized waiver on the mileage. Because of this, they grossly overcharged me for the use of their truck and this lack of corporate accountability ( both in corporate and at the rental site) enables me to throw the long term relatioship Ive had w uhaul in the trash. Over to Penske and Budget!!

The pick up location only had one person familiar with rental process. I arrived at location at an agreed upon time and had to wait ~30 minutes while store attendant walked around the store and called trying to locate the person who could complete the transaction.

My estimate was $171 considering a 160 mile trip. $29 truck plus mileage plus insurance. My ACTUAL trip was only 150 miles. Upon return, I was originally charged $246. This was reduced to a little over $200 but still above the est.

Make sure I get the location requested vs stating it’s my preferred location leading to the possibility of have to travel further to pick up equipment. The app is not easy to use.

I would have preferred the location that I wanted when I made the reservation. However, the 26 foot truck was not available there. This location was fine but farther from my home. Just glad I could get the truck that I ordered.

I called the phone number provided on the paper but it went to voice mail. Then we waited but nobody saw us and came outside. So we parked it in a spot and went inside. He took my information and it went quickly. But for my first time using U-Haul, it was confusing.

When I went to the store to get the truck the person who does the rentals was not there. The girl running the gas station counter was helpful for as much as she could do. I had to call uhaul to get it situated to be able to rent the truck. This was after spending over an hour at the original pickup location in Statesville NC waiting on the person who did the uhaul rentals at the first location and the truck was late on arrival at this location also causing us to have to go to the Tomlin Mill One Stop.

Terrible experience. They changed our pickup location to a place 37 miles from our house which led us to have to pick it up the night before at 8pm. There was no light whatsoever while trying to inspect the inside of the truck. The next morning before loading, we discovered it had dirt and mulch in it which we had to clean all out before we could do anything. Also, we ordered 30 blankets and only got 15. We ordered an appliance dolly and when they switched locations on us, it took the dolly off and there wasn’t one at our pick up location. It was dreadful all around. Will not use Uhaul again.

The overall experience with uhaul was horrible and unacceptable. It cost me a lot of time and money because the location originally booked truck for was not set up properly and no notice of that before driving to that location. Then having to back track to another location. Highly unacceptable.

Absolutely nothing(maybe hire another person to help short staffing)! Even tho very busy due to short staffing, Rachel apologized for making me wait. She was with another customer, but it was fine. I didn't have to wait long. Also needed help lifting trailer hitch off of truck hitch, someone came out to do that right away! When I left, Rachel said she would call/email when return complete, as she didn't want to keep me waiting any longer. Within the hour(more like half hour), I got a call from her. Very efficient! Thank you Rachel!

Told me if I paid cash there and the $100 deposit I would be able to pick it up at my dropoff location which was not the case. Also asked me to quote mileage and I did but then failed to tell me u wasn't paying for the mileage and one way trips were only 30miles. I quoted then 60, so upon drop off I was being charged extra money AND couldn't pickup my cash deposit.

For trailer anywhere hooking up. Maybe have some type of temporary leg for receiver height setting. Just keep in stores. When customer comes in, lend them temporary leg to hook up. Picking up trailer and trying to hold while hooking up is very hard for a weaker person.

I had this unit reserved and it was rented out to someone else, either off the books or with no documentation as the owner said that the guy who came in offered his girlfriend's license and then attempted to pay with a credit card that was rejected. Terrible service. The owner simply gave me cash for my rental, charged my credit card for the rental anyway, left the reservation in my name, dispatched the auto transport trailer in my name, and now I receive the review because it is still in my name. The owner offered me a phone number to another location, but offered no other consolation or help in finding a trailer to use. This set me behind for at least a 1/2 day of work, since I had to wait until the next morning and secure another unit at a different location. I have made at least 3 contacts to the U-Haul corporate office and am still waiting an answer and a final resolution to this problem.

Absolutely appalled at additional charges on my bill. Did not keep truck 3 days. Called 800 number for Uhaul to return and received no help allegedly closed!!! Drop off was not confirmed, but had the UNIT for ONLY 3 HOURS. Absolute travesty!!! I have always used UHAUL equipment and NEVER been over billed like this before. SOOOOO disappointed!!!! You list this as Statesville when in actuality it is in Olin. You also need to change some of the locations listed online where a truck can be returned--it is very inaccurate.
