1) My truck was not ready for me (put dolly and pads inside truck) and it was a bit of a confusing experience. 2) poorly lit outside facility; 3) parking lot is in poor condition. Despite all this, I would use them again and I think it is a popular location for UHAUL rentals. It was fairly quick to get in and out. Final comment: the younger generation there need to learn the business better from the older couple who runs it.

Terrible staff member who was not helpful or friendly at all. Tried to get trailer into the parking spot but lot was so tight there was no room to back it in. Employee told me to disconnect the trailer and wheel it by hand...I’m disabled and this was impossible for me. Told him I couldn’t at which time he charged me for being late which I wasn’t. I didn’t argue since I value my body more than $20. Sleezy guy and very unpleasant, I’d never choose to do business at Tobacco Outlet again. I wouldn’t want my business associated with someone who acts this way.

Where to start....I don't do reviews that often, but a wise man once told me, a happy customer will tell 10 friends about his experience, a pissed off customer will tell 100. So, here goes. I started my quote online, finished over the phone. This location had the size truck I thought we would be good with so I went and picked it up around 8 pm because the previous renter was late, which was fine, we were ready to start loading it. We get the truck home and open the back, little roaches, everywhere. I thought, well leta bomb it and try again in the morning. No luck, and I wasn't going to load it and have my entire household of stuff exposed to that. I called uhaul and explained the situation, and asked for an upgrade just to make the loading easier. They said ok and I headed back with the truck. I has also rented a tow dolly to save an extra trip since the move was almost 600 miles. I returned the truck, explaining the issue and not being ugly or anything. I told the guy, it happens and that I would make sure the next truck is good before leaving. He took it a bit personal I guess. He had said the other renter gets the truck every week and hauls recycling with it. I thought, well that's probably where the roaches came from. I told the guy I didn't blame him and the new truck was good so I went on about my day packing and loading. When we get ready to leave the next day, we start to load the dolly with the car, the new truck's trailer light connection was no good so we were going to use the pickup to tow it. Well we went to load it and we felt that the front of the car would be damaged and didn't want to chance it. I once again called uhaul and explained. They said return it and you should be able to get a refund. We returned it and were hurried along because he also ran a small convenience store. I called the next day because money had not been returned and they said the dolly was not showing returned. I called the local guy and he said he returned that morning which was a day after I returned it. Still seeing no money today, I chatted in and they said, the local store where you returned it, has the .67 cents they owe you. 67 cents?!?! For something I never even used, garbage. A complaint was filed and I am awaiting the resolution. Sorry for the long version but this is BS and needs to be seen and heard. Will update if they give me a real refund or not.

The Owner of the store was so rude, Didn't have the truck ready and was using strong profanity language. About 6 customers in line and I had to wait until 9:45am to get the truck. The gas on the truck was very low at the time I rented it . Less than 3?

The same young man was at the counter and he was handling another Uhaul customer when I arrived. He asked if I was dropping one off, I stated yes and I could wait. He asked the number of the trailer and asked for the paperwork. I handed it to him. He asked was there any issues and I stated nope, perfect trip. He stated we were good and to drop it off out back. He handed me my paperwork back and I did as he asked. Keep in mind the man that I had been warned about at this place was still not there. I have never met the man. But was told he was an ass and shady! I took pictures of the trailer because I do not trust dropping it off without someone checking it with me. The picture date stamp was another reason for the pictures. 1:54 on June 30th. It was an old trailer with plenty of battle wounds so my pictures matched the inspection pictures I was given at Myrtle beach. At this point I left the store with a great overall experience with the rental process. Then on the 7th of July I find you debited out 186.00 out of my account. That was a big surprise, needing the money to pay bills and it's not there. I call the lady was nice and said the charge was because I dropped the trailer off on the 6th of July, which was 6 days late. I explained that was incorrect. Now I am really glad I have the pictures that are time and location stamped on the 30th of June, so there will be no issue and this will be handled. I will get my money back. She puts me on hold and she comes back and explained. The owner the of Tobacco store is back in town and he keyed the trailer info in that it was returned on the 6th. He keyed it in 6 days late, but now the reason for this BS charge is the owner stated I dropped it off at the wrong location. Which was news to me, apparently the Myrtle beach location keyed it in as Iron Station which would be closed on Sunday, after I asked to take it back to the location I picked the first one up at. The Tobacco Factory is about 4 miles from the Iron Station location, and the Iron Station location is about 1 mile from my house. So I drove further to drop it off than I needed to because someone would be there. Now you charge me 186.00 because it is thought I went to the wrong location. A perfect rental changed to we charged you 186.00 6 days later because you dropped it off a a more secure location and which was the location I requested to drop it off and pick the other up from a week before!!! Now I'm told it will be 48 to 72 hours before a manager will contact me to see if the 186.00 will be refunded or not. 6 days ago we were really happy with the way things went relatively smoothly. I stated to my wife, this is the way we will travel to the beach from now on. 17 people in one house and was able to ride without being packed into multiple cars with tons of stuff packed around us. But for a total of 328.00 every time we travel to the beach, I'll end up buying a trailer before I rent one again if you don't make this right. Right, now I'm hope

Prepaid for my rental and when I arrived to pick it up I was told I had not paid. Showed the guy my bank acct where money was taken and posted to my acct. he called general manager and she promised I wouldn’t be charged again. By the time I got home I had a second charge on my acct. customer service is of no help either. Terrible location and terrible experience.

The pickup was guaranteed for 9:00. The location didn’t open until 9:00 and it took quite a while to get the computer going and getting everything done.

Could not provide a receipt due to printer broke. I turned the trailer in on 6/9/19 but when I checked online they recorded return on 6/10/19.
