Mitchell HenryMy entire uhaul experience was poor regardless of these two locations. The uhaul app does not work well and the whole order was messed up and confusing on top of the stress of moving my disabled mother.
Kaitlynn LawrenceI placed reservation on a 15 ft truck and an appliance dolly at harvell motors 4 days prior to needing it. I got to the location only to find out that my reservation was placed at a different location. I get to the other location and begin to sign in and I'm notified by the app that one my tools was not reserved to please go into the store and talk to someone. I go Inside Thumpers in athens, Alabama and speak to the attendant. He pulls up my reservation and notifies me that he doesnt have a 15ft truck or the appliance dollies. He calls around to try to locate a teuck to no avail. This gentleman was very nice and helpful, no complaints with him at all but my reservation for the 15ft truck and dollies was accepted on tuesday I should not have had to drive or put gas in a 26 ft truck and still with no dollies.

HARRY SIMPSONEquipment was well-maintained: oil, battery, and temp levels were all perfect throughout the 900-mile trip, and the tires were in great shape as well. The truck started immediately each time and drove very well, easy to control and keep within the lane. The cab of the truck was very dirty upon pick-up, and I swept and cleaned the floor and all compartments before embarking on my trip and putting any personal items in the compartments. (The seats were clean and needed no attention.)

William RichardsonI wasn't happy that the truck and location that I had originally reserved my U-Haul wasn't available. It would have been nice to know before I left to pick up that I would be driving to a different county for a truck. However, Thumpers was a nice location and nice people.

Codie NitzThe online reservation system has us at two different places.. one didn’t have the equipment so they moved us to another and when we arrived, tgey were closed for vacation. I found Thumpers online and they helped us get on our way. Please double check your online reservations to make sure equipment is available and the store open.
Christina DisneyThis was a very disappointing and incredibly frustrating experience. 15930 is not the pickup location I requested. I requested the safe mini storage location at 8836 Hwy 72 W in Madison, AL 35758 and I would not recommend a friend use this location. When I arrived, the lady told me: "sir, that's a preferred location and if we don't have it, you'll have to go somewhere else". Why thank you for that nugget of information Captain Obvious! Doesn't U-Haul try to relocate equipment rentals to a location that customers prefer or is that no longer a U-Haul business practice? This lady referred me to another location in Athens, AL. That location didn't have a trailer, but the lady called two other locations to locate another U-Haul rental facility (15930 York Ln) to confirm they did have the trailer I requested. I finally arrived at 15930 York Ln and all went well. I would recommend a friend to this location.

thomas caineUhaul has become to expensive. 130 dollars for rental plus 30 dollars for gas. I could have hired 2 men and a truck and I wouldn't have had to lift a thing.
gary lupardusI would like to say that only a two day rental option just doesn't make sense, you should have l9nger options available from beginning that are more cost effective for diy movers who don't have a big team of friends & family that can help them, $40 every extra day wasn't too terrible but there could have been a better option available.

GLENN BAILEYI arranged for a trailer...ONLY a trailer. When my son went to pick it up, he was told that I had added blankets and a dolly. I DID NOT request those things but, of course, was charged for them. When I was asked online if I wanted those things, I always hit, "No thanks." I have dealt with U-Haul in the past and have always been satisfied. This time, I feel like I have been taken advantage of. I have been honest with U-Haul and have only expected the same in return. If I am able, I will attach the online receipt I was sent after arranging for the trailer.
