The rental vehicle was excellent - no problems at all with U-Haul generally - to be recommended. The Eganville location- the Wash Factory - is another story. I had rented the truck for July 23rd and 24th. I asked if I could pick it up later in the day on the 22nd since we wanted to make an early start on the 23rd. I was advised I could only get it at 8am on the 23rd or would have to pay for an extra day. So I arrived at 8am on the 23rd. The operator didn't show till 9:35am, with nothing more than "I apologize for the misunderstanding"! Misunderstanding?? Then after waiting 20 minutes while he struggled to navigate the U-Haul computer system and finally getting the key to the vehicle I saw that the gas gauge reading differed from the what was shown on the printed contract. I returned to the office to correct it and the operator was gone! After waiting around for 10 minutes and trying to phone him, I had no option but to leave. The location is unprofessional and actually a bit of a joke. Certainly no credit to the U-Haul brand name.

I was told to call a certain phone number for information. The phone number was not helpful because the location was closed for the weekend. This was a big problem because the app was also useless in a rural town with minimal signal that I was forced to go to instead of my original drop off request location in Renfrew. Boggles my mind how I was diverted to Eganville when there's 3 locations in Renfrew... Maybe one would have been open. I definitely woulda had signal to use your app!

make sure when your customer reserves a truck a week in advance that it is there for the customer at the place they want to pick up! did not get the truck I wanted. no one around had one. had to go to eganville to get one. and wrong size. not impressed or happy

Train the staff on the Uhaul computer software, we waited over 2 hours to get the paper work done. this delayed us starting our trip by 1 day. Make sure that the equipment does not have flat tires when they rented it out. It is simple to check a trailers tire pressure before renting it out and not causing a delay to a customers trip when they are counting on receiving reliable equipment, and grease the ratchet equipment so it works properly. All in all we are satisfied with Uhaul and would definitely use them again.

After all the hassles picking up the truck, we had even more with dropping it off. It was after hours and we had to call a 1-800 number. Well the reception was next to none! The lady on the phone was complaining that is was poor connection but we were required to go into an email and use codes to discharge our contract or we would be charged another day. Despite trying to explain to her that we had no reception to complete the paper work, she was charging us another day because the place we returned it to wasn't open on Sunday!!!! My husband lost it with her and hung up. When I was telling the girls at work about my chaotic experience they already knew what uhaul was all about and didn't have any kind words about their experience.

Rental was filthy and stunk from horse?dung, urine, sweat, hair, hay/straw and BLOOD. I have pics to prove it. Obviously not cleaned prior to rental despite the $15 cleaning surcharge notice in trailer. Had to clean it myself before use, what’s my time and effort,etc worth? Rental agent was impatient, couldn’t leave fast enough even though business hours are til 4 PM on Saturdays. I arrived at 12:08 PM. Agent never bothered to inspect unit with me before he left, otherwise I would have made him clean it as his business includes a car wash. $60.00? surcharge if I paid by debit instead of credit card. What kind of BS is that? Find another rental place than this 1 is my recommendation!
