DO NOT rent a UHaul from The Vineyards on Kalamazoo Ave SE. I created a reservation online, went thru the steps to complete pick up and was approved thru UHaul and directed to that location. I was instructed to get keys inside and once inside the owner/representative did not want to hand over keys although he had all of my information and confirmation code for key pick up. Customer service was HORRIBLE. Representative was extremely rude and unprofessional. Keep in mind, I had called ahead on availability and was told to go ahead and reserve the truck they had available. I called customer service, they assured me that my reservation was valid and there was no reason for him not to hand over the keys. Time and money was wasted!Celia M.

I was double charged on my cc for the truck and equipment. The owner of the establishment said it wasn't his fault! But he is the one who took my payment, and charged my card twice! For 2 different amounts! When I told him this, he gave me the Manager of UHAUL 's phone number, and I called and filed a complaint. It being a Sunday, the manager did email me back, and stated an refund was sent back to my card. And I should have it in 3-5 business days. I am not happy with any of this. And feel that if I hadn't paid attention to the email receipt, I would have been overcharged. And not compensated. The Owner of the store should have paid more attention to what he was doing, or took responsibility for the overcharge. I will not be using or recommend The Vineyards, to any one.Tammy C.
There were several things that could have been done better. 1. Have gas in the truck. There was 0 gas when I picked up the truck. I put on over $40 drove a total of 9 miles and still have not been reimbursed. Whoever returned the truck previously did not put gas in and when the Uhaul rep noticed that it was empty they should have handled it instead of me having to waste time up front. 2. I had requested a dolly for my rental which they were quick to charge but did not actually get one but was charged for it anyway. I made sure the individual who charged me for rental knew so he could refund me and he said his manager would do it bit I've yet to see a refund. Still waiting for refund.Franklin S.
The location wanted to give me a key to a different truck that was assigned to me on my mobile check in. Not knowing for sure how this would affect my rental agreement, I resisted. His comment was â€œif it makes you happyâ€. I didn't have the dozen furniture blankets I requested either. I was refunded by U-Haul. Even my mobile check in and out didn't work like it did the previous time. Just wasn't a pleasant experience. I like the U-Haul trucks, so I will use U-Haul again.Michael P.

The "Appliance dolly " is awful that is my only complaint. It's heavier then the appliances I was trying to use it for. And it's also supposed to slide going up stairs wasn't helpful. You definitely need a new approved appliance dolly.allison B.
