Customer service is a big key the guy who helped me if you call that help was rude and disrespectful. He wasnt clear on his answers to my question. His main thing was you can go somewhere else if you dont like it. You definitely dont say those things to a first time customer or a place of business. The vehicle had all the lights on check engine tire light trailer light service due now and thats not how a vehicle should be given out. Just all around not happy. The only good thing about the uhaul was moving what i needed other than that not happy.SHAMEL S.

I went online to register for a service which I was told would be at a rate of $0.40 (forty cents) per mile after the first 50 miles plus the base price and this was verbally confirmed by the agent/staff who prepared my document in Mount Vernon, NY. However when I returned the vehicle I was emailed with a bill for $1.99 (one dollar ninety-nine cents) per mile. This is more than 4 times the rate that I was told. This is wrong to say the least. Both your app and website suck! Why can't I just choose the location I rented from when returning a truck??? I waisted 45mins trying to checkout after a long day of moving. I'm an IT professional and this is the worst experience someone can hope for!!! Locations services on your app & site don't even work, turn them off for crying out loud!!! Oh and by the way if someone is running late maybe you should consider a mandatory text or email notice with your vendors before they are allowed to cancel the reservation without notice or at the very least post a notice on the rental agreement! I won't be recommending U-Haul to anyone anytime soon and WILL post on google maps about this location so that my 22 millions viewers can take their business elsewhereâ€¦Nicholas S.

It took over 1 and half hours to get our UHaul. We had a reservation number and had checked in online but they could not realeased the truck to us. Over an hour on the phone to UHaul reps. I'm really upset with U-Haul customer service overall and honestly don't ever want to do business with this company again. I ended up having to spend over $500 dollars for my move simply because I was lied to basically! I had booked online more than a week in advance to secure a one way drop off since I was moving from NY to CT. However the day before my move they call me saying no trucks were available. I just don't understand how your system would allow me to book and secure online to then tell me due to high volume reservations the truck size I requested isn't available. I'm extremely disappointed how that was handled. I had made sure to book online because the week before I had difficulties securing a truck. Thanks to this location I was able to get a last minute truck however I had to incur a higher expensive. Uhaul you needs to do better!!!!GERMANY J.

Staff was super easy to work with. Everything was up and ready by the time I walked in the door. They explained all the services fees and additional fees if certain conditions were met. They did offer the additional coverage, but I declined; it was nice that they said just to make sure with my driver's insurance that I was covered and to check if my credit card company insured commercial/moving damages just in case. Overall, I really liked the staff here and they were very quick from getting me in the door, verifying information, and then processing the bill at the end. I couldn't be happier and I will choose to get my rentals from this location in the future.SCOTTJ S.

Although my overall experience was very good, I found the advertising regarding pricing misleading. You only see that it costs $19.95 per day, and then that price increases exponentially. When I reserved the van for 2 days, I was given a price of $45.00. Once I ultimately picked up and returned the van, the various additional charges increased my price to approximately $228.00!!!marili G.

The person that was there was no help with help me rent the truck. All he kept saying was I had to call the 800 number. When I made the reservation the system wouldn't allow me to go back in to complete the rental. I finally had to get someone online to help. They had to start all over again. I was suppose to only pay $19.45 plus tax. When I return the truck I was charged over $48. I didn't want that extra $16 charge to me. So will I recommend this location. I probably would because I don't think we have another one in our area. But I would tell them to watchout for tthe fee because they'll be charge with extra stuff they didn't want.TRACEY G.

The owners of the store gave out my information to another customer who wanted to rent the first truck I wanted to rent. I was looking in the lot for the truck and she came up to my asked me my name. I said I told her that I changed my mind and that I wanted to switch my rental. That's when I went inside I told the guy and the agent through chat that I wanted to Steichen my rental. I was able to do so. Connie even called verify I I was able to do so. I would inky say she was the best part of my experience with Uhaul today. I have used Uhaul many times before. The owner was rude and disrespectful. Once I finished my online approval. I went inside to get my keys. He was have a disrupt with another customer. He even stated â€œBlack Lives Don't Matter to me anymore. I don't see would I even careâ€ Then proceed to go inside and Uhaul is shutdown for the rest of the day I'm not dealing with this shit. I'm like can I just get my keys. He hurriedly and did that. I am I biracial person and that was one very offense. Two he didn't care who was around and how rude he was to her. When I returned the van. I had difficulty with the website return and uploading the pictures. I went inside to return the keys and to inform him. Horrible experience. I typed one way to location/destination Mohegan Lake. Van says one way on it. I moved there and was informed later the return address was for my.vernon. I wouldn't select the van for a round trip with no way back home it's a waste if time and money. I returned the van same day. Online was misleading and the district manager Laura P. Told me she'd sort it out and refund the the time the van wasn't checked in. She asked me to return the van March 7th and I did. They are still trying to add charges to my credit card. This is unacceptable. I called when Laura was supposed to be in and she wasn't. I was given an email Laura_pipe@uhaul.com, my email did not go through. 3/18/20 I was informed she's no longer with the company. I can't reach anyone who has said they're able to help with the added charges, the keys were physically handed over!Roman P.
