Find out why I could not check in with my phone because the code went to a different phone number- not mine. I cannot use you again because that is very unsafe. I hope I don’t get weird texts or calls after this. Not first time this sort of thing has happened, that leads to identity theft

My cargo van smelled so bad of cat pee that I had to buy cleaning products and air fresheners to make it tolerable. The tire pressure was low and there was a broken latch that caused an alert that the back door was open and it meant it didn’t lock either. The team at the rental location did their best to fix the problems but were unable to. Probably the worst vehicle I’ve ever rented. Advertised as $19.95 but totaled $150 after fees, insurance, and mileage.

Horace WillisThe digital check out requirement is cumbersome. What if I do not wish to inspect/approve of the vehicle in this manner? It seems that I'm expected to be an employee and thus, I should receive compensation for reviewing the rental vehicle via this manner. In the past, I've inspected rental vehicle prior to leaving the rental location, now I must go through a tedious process to exit the facility. NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE AND ONE THAT I WISH TO REPEAT.

Horace WillisMileage reporting: i just got my "receipt" from UHaul saying i drove 317 miles... because someone put in the mileage wrong. so, now i have to call the location and/or uhaul to get a refund. please input your numbers more carefully. good thing i took a photo upon return... or who knows where that truck is today to collect "evidence" for the error. Gas reporting: the tank was labeled as full when receiving and upon driving away, it was certainly not all the way full. after driving 17 miles and before returning the truck, i filled the tank and it needed 4.5 gallons, which 1) i didn't use and 2) was not indicated on the gas tank meter, which would mean that the tank was 7/8 full, and it was showing it was more than 15/16s full. So, the equipment is broken and* the meter provided on receipt has a really inaccurate depiction of "estimated gallons until full".

Eric SingerMy dissatisfaction has more to do with the truck I was rented than the location. The truck was EXTREMELY loud on the road and was not able to accelerate— which made for a dangerous situation on the highway. Overall this vehicle did not seem roadsafe.

LINN ROSSELLICommunicate more clear instructions for fuel., I was verbally told not to refuel the unit but then upon return was charged for 5X my fuel usage. Customer service regarding this issue was fair however and resolved my issue. If I had known how it works I would have added fuel to my original level. (1/4 tank)

Anthony MenneExcellent Customer Service. I forget the person's name who checked out my truck to me but was he so helpful, efficient, respectful, and courteous. This U-Haul experience was by far the best and the location was so convenient for me. I had difficulty with the after hour e-drop-off app. Not sure why I wasn't receiving a drop off confirmation from the app. But all worked out.

If customers are interested only in a specific item, then please eliminate tactics meant to encourage additional rentals--I was tempted to cancel my then in progress application.

Jordan SandfordThe truck wasn’t maintained, the brakes are almost inoperable, the transmission isn’t functioning, when doing downhill, the transmission would down shift into 1st gear and the rpms would rise to 5000 rpm. The only way to get the transmission to shift into hi was to stop. The truck was and is dangerous, we feared for our lives.

The issue was a staff member used my contract information to contact me about meeting up and wouldn’t take no for an answer. I felt very uncomfortable, and even after I clearly said no, and that I felt uncomfortable, the text messages just kept coming. I had no choice but to block him. I won’t be back, and I definitely will not recommend my friends to go here. I felt my personal safety was at risk
Barbara LanceI accidentally left $202.00 in the uhaul when I dropped it off at 8 pm on Saturday in Sebastopol once I dropped the key into the box I realized I left the money inside the cup holder of the uhaul I called first thing on Monday morning wt 7:46 am before anyone had even rented the uhaul and the money was gone ! I have three children 18,17,11 and we just moved . I desperately needed that money to pay for our new storage and one of the employees has stolen it… I called the office the man did say he looked in the trucks and found nothing HOWEVER I’m positive I left it folded in the cup holder it was 2 one hundred dollar bills and 1 two dollar bill!! I am very sadden and disappointed that there are thief’s at this company ! Again I am a single mother of three children,that money was ours and someone on that property is now $202.00 dollars richer …. Very f**ked up

LUCIA CARGILLThey are terrible. They went in and canceled our reservation so it only showed truck. No movers no dolly no pads. Lied and said that stuff was not reserved until Ishiwed printed copy. Tried to give us a appliance dolly with strap broke in 2. When my wife said no it won't work They told her she could just carry the stuff then. They said they are not u haul and it was our problem. We waited until after hours to return truck so not to deal with them even though we had to pay extra day rental fee. They should not have u haul equipment. I would never have people like this represent a company I worked with. They have a long list of bad reviews. We will never go thete again . They gave your company a black eye on 3/18/2022.
Rob FlowersI originally rented through UHaul and my rental was changed to a smaller truck days after I booked it so I cancelled and rented directly through the location which worked much better for me. I will rent in the future directly through the local location. I did not like having my reservation changed by Uhaul to something that I could not use for the move.

fredrick backmanU-Haul customer service told me I could pick it up at 8am but the location only opens at 9. I had employed 2 day laborers for 8 am and had to pay them $60 to sit waiting. Rental Place says this happens frequently when U- Haul places the reservation. I believe U-Haul owes me $60.
