I was charged for 40 miles from the start and then made an extra trip. I was charged for the original 40 miles and then a grand total of 110 miles. The cashier at pitstop had no idea about uhaul transactions.Ashley J.

I have opened a customer report with your corporate office. I never received my deposit back. paperwork says I was given cash. it's been 1 1/2 weeks since report filed and still no responseRichard B.
Trucks are parked under a tree and the outside and windshield are dirty, trucks need carwash and vacuum and dust free in the inside. Instructions were followed in the app and when asked to go inside for the key, the attendant asked to see the truck number in the app but, that was gone from the app. i had to call customer center and after 10 minutes the attendant agreed to hand over the key.Pablo L.
It was too much of a hassle to receive service. We initially wanted the truck the night before but we couldn't over a technicality that we were not aware of. It was a frustrating experience.Carmen T.

U-Haul's website claims we can pick up the U-Haul at the time & location we chose (4:30pm) & the main guy who handles the trucks was not there. The First attendant was not willing to help at all claiming, â€œI have nothing to do with that.. the manager gets back in the morning.â€ Meanwhile I had already been charged $166 for the truck. The second attendant was kind enough to call the manager to figure out how it's done & we finally got the keys 1 hour after the pick up time. First off, the truck's back door was open. There were leaves & shrubs all over the inside of the back of the truck along with spiders and ants. Secondly, the UHAUL app allowed me to choose the option to pick up an appliance dolly & furniture pads from this location, both of which they did not have. I was then sent to another UHAUL about 8 minutes away, where they provided me with the two equipment. Mind you, this has already cut into 2 hours of my rental time. Customer service at UHAUL is a joke. They kept transferring me to â€œtrafficâ€ which I was put on hold for over an hour and my call was never answered again. This was all very upsetting. Terrible experience. This was the second & last time I will be renting from UHAUL. Same experience with different locations occurred within 1 week.Marie S.

The cashier who helped me was very rude and unhelpful . He said he didn't know how to rent the UHUAL. He made my experience really uncomfortable and hard when I was just trying to move .Dominique H.
I was suppose to have a mileage start at 5959 (OUT) and 5977(IN) I check the report whoever put the number 5957(OUT) this are small things but you guys have to be consistent. Need to improve more.Guy trece G.

The location was not the one that i requested. Employee did not know how to rent a uhaul. It took 45 minutes and 2 calls to uhaul to get my truck. The employee just gave me the keys and didn't have me sign a contract or check the truck. The truck itself was full of trash like empty sodas and energy drinks. Then when I was loading my truck I received another call from uhaul to finish the rental agreement. It was a terrible experience.Christopher A.
This vehicle had only 1/4 tank of fuel. The rental paperwork showed 5/8. Nobody at location to do a pre check. The van area was filthy and the ca wreaked of cigarettes and weed. Worst customer service I've experienced at a u-haul facility.Colin P.

This was the first time I had used Uhual services and I must say I had a horrible experience. The only reason I don't give a poor review is due to the employees at the locations and I've worked for companies who get surveys so I know how it works. Honestly Uhual paints a pretty picture online as far as availability and easy access, but when I actually went to the location they were all out then I got sent somewhere else and still no truck! Their inventory system is horrible, when I finally excalated this issue they found the truck ten miles away at a random gas station then I was told the Uhual person was gone! Unfortunately not until I got really aggressive did he want to help me and it was literally him on a laptop and ringing customers up. I've never been so disappointed in a company U-Haul really dissaspointed I rather pay extra for a private company and I will be sure not to recommend to family and friends.betty S.
When I arrived to the puck up location no one there was trained to do uhaul transactions. The store attendant call the store manager and there was no answer, I waited for almost an hour for the store manager to call back. Once the manager call back he said I would have to wait until 3:00pm until he returns to pick up my truck that was scheduled for a 12:00pm pick up. Just so happen I was on the phone with a customer service representative for uhaul, she spoke with the store associated and he spoke with his supervisor, and finally after over an hour of waiting I was able to pickup the uhaul. I had to bring the truck back by 4pm but didn't receive it until around 1:30pm. Not to mention I paid someone to move my items and had pay extra for the extra hour I need he due to the wait I had at the uhaul location. This was the worst service I could have ever received. I was very disappointed.Quintasha F.
Make sure associate is pn time for reservations..associate left at 3pm..when i had a 4.45 pm pick up and was gone for the rest of the day..i was pissed and friday tired..cynthia S.

The truck smelled of cigarette smoke with ashes all over the floor, needed to sweep it out before loading anything. I signed up for Express pickup, only to learn the site I was referred to does not offer that service, so I needed to take a Lyft to this pickup site. Express service would be great if it worked. Employee at this site was helpful and very polite.John A.

The vehicle smelled like a petting zoo, it was super filthy. I had to clean the front window to see out of them. The is a safety hazard! I can not believe it, I never rented a truck so dirty in my life. The smell never got better and if I wasn't in a short notice I would have found another rental location. They could have palce an air freshener can and cleaned the windows in a decent manner. Please check your vehicle locations for the care of the trucks, no one wants to move and be blasted with stinch of animal or whatever was in that truck.Keisha W.

We had the worst experience ever. I called on the phone to make a reservation and I was sent to a gas station where I'm glad I came back in one piece. I was with my husband and Dad and yet 2 men tried to come close and said stuff, I didn't listen because I closed my ears. Then when my husband was filling the gas he filled it with $17 more we asked upon returning the truck if we can get refund for the extra gas but we didn't get any help. This was the worst worst experience ever. Oh I forgot to mention that I was sent to the gas station as the ahem on the phone said. However when we got there it turned out that they close by 3:00 why were we sent to a closed place. The guy at the gas station said I will help but the priority is for every customer who comes in. It took more than an hour to finish the process. I hope you understand why we got so frustratedchirin A.

Worst experience ever. I was originally suppose to pick up from a uhaul location in orange California. I stressesed when making the appointment I would need a truck in the morning. The uhaul guy scheduling me said it should be no problem and he'd at it to the notes. A week later and a day before pick up. I get a call saying the earliest available for the area is 330 pm. However I had an appointment to get furniture at 12. After a long talk the guy was finally able to find me a uhaul in Long Beach for a morning time. However this was such an inconviance for me to have to drive to multiple locations. That part was so frustrating, but what was more frustrating was when I went to pick my uhaul truck Up in Long Beach. I went to check in and the worker said I wasn't in the system!? I had even called the day prior to confirm with that location my appointment time. He said the system doesn't say I'm in there and I should call customer care. I tried my best to remain calm knowing that I had this appointment to pick my furniture Up. I told him that he had to figure it out. He was on the phone back and forth for 45 mins to an hr trying to figure this out. I'm a disabled veteran, and standing that long for a period of time really started to add pain to my lower back. Not to mention i was getting close to missing my 12 appointment. Eventually I finally got out of there, and by the grace of God I got a truck. His explanation was that uhaul was trying to rent the truck out to another person, so it cancled out my order. This uhaul experience was a disaster ! I would never use uhaul again, or reccomend them to anyone. I don't know many moving truck companies, but you can bet uhaul is crossed off my list!!MAX B.
