No one was on premises when we dropped off, and we left the key and contract in the box. I called the next day to be sure they knew we had done that, because there had been no acknowledgement. That was a good idea, as it turned out that the truck had not been checked in as of yet. If there had been a person, I'm sure it would have been done promptly. I would definitely drop off here again. It is convenient for us.

Here's what I sent Uhaul. BEWARE Dear Sir: I just finished my one way rental of a 10' truck from NYC to Grand Gorge, NY. We parked last night in front of our house approx 6 feet off road. There was a little dusting of snow on the ground. Unfortunately, I could not get the truck out this morning and had to be pulled by a neighbor. The back left tire was nearly bald and would not grip the cold ground. Uhaul should never have allowed this vehicle on the road in the winter with such a worn down tire. It was very irresponsible on your part! Luckily, the roads were not slipperly last night and we safely made the 160 mile trip. HOWEVER, THIS IS A HAZARDOUS SITUATION AND SHOULD BE CORRECTED IMMEDIATELY!

I reserved a 26' truck. The next day the agent called me to let me know they didn't have a 26' truck. The agent told me they had a 20' truck. I agreed only because I had already traveled the 10 hours to move my belongings. When I arrived to pick up the truck, I was informed that they didn't have a 20' truck at that location. I was also told that they hadn't had a 26' truck in a long time. I had to drive 40 minutes away to get the 20' truck. The entire process took 2.5 hours, which then changed all of the moving plans and everyone involved. Due to the terrible service your company provided, I now have to make a second 10 hour drive, ( 1 way) to get the rest of my belongings. Had the agent been truthful, I could have made other arrangements and not incurred more lost time and money due to the second move that is now required.

I would like to comment on the help I received on my call to the 800 number for UHaul. It was terrible. The person I talked to sounded as if she was reading from a script instead of talking to me. She talked way too fast and just kept repeating herself, just as fast. She was not at all helpful or responsive to my questions.

The man that I spoke to over the phone at this uhaul location in Grand Gorge was super awesome and very helpful.

I was supposed to pick up my rental truck at 9AM the day of my move. Instead, I received a phone call at 9AM telling me that the rental truck would not be available til noon. I had planned for this day in advance, there was no indication from the company (U-Haul) that my rental would not be available that day.

Make sure you check all the trucks and tires especially during the winter months that they are safe to drive - because apparently the equipment provided to me was not only a disaster and broken but the tires were not acceptable for this time of year (winter)

The truck was dirty inside, people just left clutter. The back door was frozen shut which was awesome trying to open. I had to go to some army warehouse to pick it up where they told me a 20 foot truck was the inside not including the whole truck, so needless to say it was too small and I had to leave a lot behind. On the phone when I booked it he promised hundreds of dollars less than it was. The man never explained how to use anything at all. Told me his back hurt so I'll have to figure it out myself and gave me some old sticky pamphlet like that was supposed to help and told me under no circumstances don't back up with the tow on it because it's like driving a tugboat....because everyone has experience driving a tugboat. Speaking of the tow of course the only one that would "fit" my Honda was the most expensive full pull. Never explained how to use that either. Everything was frozen and I couldn't open my door once it was on the ramp and had to climb out the window. Meaning I had to leave my window down and cover it with garbage bags which is awesome in -7 degree weather. Thanks for that. Also knowing I am traveling over 800 miles and all the way across new york, being I picked it up in the mountains, you would think they would give you a truck that would be able to move faster than 35 mph on hills. Because going 25 up a mountain on a highway that the speed limit is 65 is completely safe and convenient. It made pur trip over 17 hours long in a truck that was dirty and old and had a smell of smoke. Soo glad I had to pay that much money for that piece of crap. Not to mention he never put in our drop off location so when they call us they wanted us to drop off a big truck with a trailer in the city of chicago when we live in the suburbs and there were 12 locations around us within a few miles. All I received was attitude from the staff and had to speak to a manager just to drop it off at the location down the street. So they give us an address for a place that assuminglu has space for a truck this big, and when we get there..of course they are closed and have about 4 parking spaces outside, non of which would fit this truck let alone with the trailer behind it. We had to block off many parking spots in front of a dentist office just to give the truck back. Oh and he never bothered to have me sign a contract let alone print one, which I saw was a slot for it in the drop off box, so I'm sure there's even more inconvenience to come from that since his "printer wasn't working" at his high class establishment. Needless to say this was a miserable experience and the staff at pick up and on the phone was completely useless for information and I will absolutely never use Uhaul anymore. I just wasted $1100 for the most miserable moving experience of my life.

We were charged for a hand truck that was not included. We were charged for 3 days and reimbursed for 1 of those days. Otherwise the service was great and they were very flexible

Uhaul did not provide me with the unit I reserved. No email was sent to notify me ahead of time and I was in an area with spotty cell service at best. I reserved the unit because I needed all of the room and I was given a 20 foot truck instead of the 26 which didn't work. People reserve required equipment and no effort was made to correct the issue by customer service.

The customer service at this location was wonderful. However I called the u-hual general 800-number and it was a nightmare. I was hung up on , passed from one person to another and told, "How am I suppose to know what's available!" by one of the representatives. This is unacceptable.
