The clerk noted the gas tan level at 1/3 but it was actually 1/5. I believe the reason was that the truck was not parked in level ground. Also, the sign for rental of 19:95 is deceiving due to the 1.23 added for each mile driven. I usually rent my truck at home depot wich only charges less than half the price I paid for U-haul. I only used it for two hours but never again, Home depot will be my palce to always rent a truck in the future. I can not in good faith recommend U-Haul. Also, Home Depot gives verterans a 10% discount! I still have money back coming from my initial deposit!

Everything was going well until I returned the vehicle to The Mail Station in Monroe, Wa. The owner wanted to charge me an extra $20 for a fuel charge after I had just filled it to up to the amount instructed on the paperwork he gave me when I picked up the truck. I told him that I had filled it to the amount that was instructed on the paperwork. He disagreed so I took the truck back to the gas station and filled it to a full tank. Unfortunately, I didn’t have this paper when I returned it (I guess it got lost in the shuffle when I was moving) so that’s on me. I won’t be renting from this guy again and will warn others about my experience. I felt this was dishonest. However, the initial experience through the new U-Haul app was great. I placed my order and it was ready for pick up when I scheduled it. I even needed to keep it another day and was able to schedule it. I received a text with the new drop off time. I will just rent my U-Haul from another location.

a little more information about the contract. A quick overview hitting the highlights of ALL the costs. Fix the internet reservation site so it actually saves all the info and pics I submitted in order to save time.

A bit annoying having to have someone call the number I gave as a separate contact.

The only difficulty I had was using the Safari browser on my iPhone, the UHaul site could not determine my location. We ultimately used my wife's Android phone to complete everything we needed to. There were a couple of times where we had to re-enter information, but mostly it was an easy experience. Had she not been there with me, though, I don't know if I would've been able to complete the order.

The advertised amount was 19.95. By the time I paid for mileage, gas and protection my bill was $100. Just seems like false advertising or switch and bait. Also, the gas tank was not full and we were told it was about 1/2 full and to bring it back at the same level. It should have been full at pickup and returned full. No guess work. My husband rented from Home Depot for similar unit and paid $48 flat fee. We got hooked by the 19.95 advertising. In future we will be using Home Depot.

Person didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. Of all the times I have rented a uhaul, I had never had an experience like this one, next time...should there be one(hopeing no after this) I will find else where to go
