Office is located inside a locked facility, sinage says to dial either of 2 different numbers, no one answers, no clear instructions on how to access the place. vehicle was at 1/4 tank and I was told I would be penalized $30 for not returning it to 1/4 full, U-haul charges excessive amounts for fuel anyways, but never fills the tanks and has the gall to penalize the poor guy that finally has to get it at 1/4 full! Penalize everyone or no one and put some gas in your vehicles!, YOU"re charging for it! And the closing time of 430 in the afternoon, no late drop off or leaving it on the street! Hope I never have to rent from this location again.Thomas M.

The uhual did its job, but when we picked it up, we noticed huge chunks of glass falling out from behind the wooden slats. Even more fell out during our move and damaged our dressers and sliced my husband's finger. We cleaned up the glass before returning it so it didnt happen to anyone else.Ryan A.

If ALL U-Haul franchises were as KIND, efficient, and knowledgable as THIS place, I would recommend U-Haul to everyone. The Uhaul attendant was rude, after I made a mistake thinking the credit card and reservation, and after providing all my information the previous day to the representative (same person), was all I needed to take the small motorcycle trailer until noon. He threatened to call the police over the misunderstanding and was very short, rude, and seemed very bothered during the process. I have used uhaul equipment and paid thousands of dollars to Uhaul and so far have been very satisfied. I will never rent uhaul from the Eastlake storage facility again . The selection is very poor and the male Uhaul representative there is rude.joel W.
They did forget to pu the appliance dolly in the truck. This caused us to take longer and miss the 24 hour window. Explained this to them and was still charged the extra time. We were supposed to drop it off at 3:30 and they closed at 4pm. I dropped it off when they opened at 9am the next morning.DANNY F.

I would strongly recommend setting up a drop-off after hours but before 10PM. My last drop off was at approximately 6PM. There were several U-Haul trucks on site stagged in a different area inside the security area (The Eastlake Self Storage). I could have safely placed the vehicle in the secure area vice in Lowe's parking lot. Always do self checkout with uhaul returns. Selected self return here, manager said we couldn't do self checkout, made multiple people wait in line long enough to have conversations with other returners that this was the worst and most convoluted return experience we have had. After moving, we just want to return the unit to the stop of location and move on. There is no need to drag on the process unnecessarily. While waiting, went on the uhaul website and noticed the website allowed us to self return so opted for that route regardless being informed we could not. The self checkout process was wonderful as always and took all of 2 minutes.SEAN R.

A compliment to Alvin Hechevarria, who helped me. That was a gnarly stress day, even by moving standards (added stress: xmas) -- totally swamped, people cuttiing in front of others to interrupt him to ask questions (while he was checking me in).. zero errors on my check-in. Good attitude. The computer system crashed right after he finished with me. Alvin deserves commendation for keeping composure under extreme duress with a very demanding demographic (wealthy area) even when systems went down. My same-day check-in went smoothly as well. Promotion, raise, bonus checks, great review -- I've been in customer service for years. Most would have snapped. He would be a great trainer/mgr/regional to pass these skills to those under his mentorship.... God bless youPAUL F.

I had an issue with the return and was disappointed with the lack of proper communication of info: I attempted to return the trailer a day early to save some money on the rental fee- I was told that if I turned it in the day before, I would save a day. As I drove back, I was unsure what time the location closed. I tried calling the Boswell location direct several times starting at 4 pm, but no one ever answered. I called the main U-Haul number and the call taker told me the location was open until 5 pm. I went home, unloaded everything, then went to the Boswell location. I arrived at 4:29 on the dot- and no one was there. Signs indicated the location closed at 4:30. The on-site person told me she couldn't assist me, but to call the main "traffic" number, which I did, to no avail. After another 15 minutes of calling around, I left. Even though I only had the truck from 10am to 5pm, the person that rented me this truck charged me an overnight fee while also being very rude, yelling at me thinking that I locked the keys inside, yet I know much better than to do that. I rented over 63 trucks last year and never had a bad experience like this one.CARLOS G.

This location has pick-up and drop-off times that make the process such a daunting task. Can't get a truck before 9 am and it has to be dropped off by 4:30 pm. If a person is finished using the truck at 5:30 pm, they have to wait until the next day to drop it off. That is super inconvenient.Brian E.

I would say the inside was a little dirty like some kind of plants spilled over and left residue but other than that was not bad. Also would be nice with the mental charge to get life 10 free miles than charger per mile. Thanks.NICKOLAS K.

The process to send pictures of my driving license was very cumbersome. A storage location is all metal and cell phone coverage is nonexistent. Uhaul should have an ability to scan without me taking pictures with my cell phone. A big waste of time.PAUL C.
-Check out took 30 minutes -Engine noise -Got charged for gas way above actual price of gas. Hard to fill to exact point upon pick up since both my check out so far was just above half tank. If tank is full at check out maybe it will make it easier -I was being given a different truck from what it's showing on my app. Then had to climb up hill to pick up the right truck. -Staff had to make me climb up the truck to bring furniture dolly out closer so he doesn't have to climd. Lazy! -Both attendants makes their customer do their work for them! -I would not use this location again if I ever need truck to move again (i hope no more moving). Beware of this gentleman in charge of this location!!! We didn't use the dolly and he charge me for that, probably the security plastic lock was damaged during the furniture moves and was cut and he was very rude and refused to credit me back something that was not used at all by us and no needed at all.
