The van was clean, all set to go, but with only a quarter tank of gas ... Usually it is easier to just start and finish with a full tank. The experience was easy and perfect. I would recommend U Haul any time.JOHNG F.

The truck was filthy inside with trash on the floor, and it shifted very poorly. It revved way too high before shifting into a higher gear (up to 4500rpm) making for a very loud drive, and then shifted very aggressively when shifting down making for a rough drive. Also, the truck I reserved from another location was not available, forcing me to come to this location instead. And, the instructions to return the truck online, provided by text, didn't indicate that I had to be with the truck to complete the return. I was already on the streetcar when I tried to start the online return process when I realized I couldn't complete it since I wasn't with the truck anymore. So I thought I was going to be charged the additional $20 for not returning the car online.Jordan S.
the customer service person was not on site so had to wait around not sure if they were even open. had to park on Gerrard which is a very busy location. eventually customer service person appeared but did not greet us or welcome us. instead he mumbled constantly into his covid mask and wouldn't make eye contact so communication was more difficult than necessary. he was not familiar with pricing process and was uncooperative to describe options or answer my questions. he told me to call head office with questions. refused to help explain how to load the car dolly.. instead he tersely mumbled that I should watch the video online. I found this attendant very unhelpful uncooperative and rude. he spoke to his friend constantly in a foreign language and didn't tell me he was done or that I was good to go. he just walked away and left me on the road to figure things out for my self.. I would recommend that he learn some basic customer service skills and improve his communication skillsByron M.

Pull trailer out so it is more accessible when you know a rental was pending. The storage space is small and I had to wait on the street while equipment is moved around. I plan to use this location again as it is more convenient then the Warden & 401 locationEdward C.

Service was great, and quick, having checked in online.The pricing for boxes was significantly more than listed online, and extra boxes were not returnable, The truck was clean, the office was in a â€˜hut' at the back of a small lot. This location was terrible in getting to since it is down a busy street with a lot of traffic. This should not be where one picks up a 26foot truck! Nor could they load the auto because they said they don't have the right insurance. Vehicle was dirty too. But the people were nice even though they couldn't help me much. I would not recommend this location for the bigger trucks - OK for local van vehicles.Sau-Ling Y.

Self pick up didn't work. The truck I was assigned was also assigned to another customer. The lock box didn't work for either one of us. COULDN'T CONTACT a live person and had to wait 1 and a 1/2 hours for the depot to open. No apologies or mention that they screwed upPAT M.

Trailer was quite dirty from the previous renter. They charged me for a full extra day ($30) when I dropped it within an hour of the deadline after experiencing some delays in traffic. Also charged an after hours service fee of $20 despite it being dropped off during normal open hours. Have rented from uhaul many times lately but this will be last if things are not addressed.Kenneth M.

The U haul worker at the Pickup Location was Fair to deal with. Once we got there, in no time at all we were on the road. U-Haul takes great pride in there equipment. And it shows. I would've liked to see a sing that indicated the office to grab the key, the lot of the rentals and this is far from eachother, I lost time figuring out where to find it, and I would rater go there insted of the app where I took like half an hour to set for my first time. This place is a dumpster dive. They've put signage up on neighborhing condemned buildings on either side of their tiny mobile shack office. The whole place looks super sketchy. They charged me $20 to drop off after hours (what could possibly be the reasoning for this?) and then charged me $20 for being off by less than 1/16th of a tank. Ironically when I picked it up and they said 3/8ths it was actually off by a 16th of a tank too, I just didn't mention it because usually you guys aren't that petty.James E.

The cargo van had a faulty signal light which is quite dangerous and it seems the location was aware of it but did not tell us until long after we had left. It is impossible to phone and speak to a representative at the location. This was additionally frustrating as there had been some damage to a bumper that we were not aware of and had not been done by us but probably another driver backing into it. We were unable to get in touch with the location to discuss it at all. After booking at a close location it was switched to a much further one. It is understandable that it is a busy season etc, but very frustrating not to be able to call and speak to someone to clarify any of these details.Brad H.

I used the website check in - which was an awkward process but when picking up the truck - after going through the whole thing it then said that Canadian credit cards are not accepted through the website. So I then had to repeat the whole process with the guy at the shop. So what exactly is the point of the web check in if you can't complete the process. The van was clean - everything worked. The location is good - but the web check in is essentially a useless process for Canadians.David D.

Everything that went wrong went wrong. Picking up I was blocked in for an hour and a half. Dropping off I was blocked and had to park on street. I ordered protective pads and dollys and didn't get them so there was risk of damages to furniture. Employee said no words to us after this ordeal and seemed unhappy to need to assist. The service was good, nothing to complain about there, however the physical location while convenient was pretty sketchy. Trucks parked on the street and at different locations, trailers on sidewalks etc, made drop off difficult.Jeremy K.
There were not enough staff at the location to serve customers. The employee was working as hard as he could but the demand was too high for one person. I tried to contact customer service and was very disappointed in the difficulty I experienced. The online web chat message was read and closed, then I waited on hold for 35 minutes before giving up. When I emailed with my concerns, I was asked if everything was happy since I received the truck. Upon saying no, I was told I would receive a 25 dollar creditâ€¦. Which was never emailed. Trying to reach customer service was extremely frustrating and difficult. I did not feel valued or respected.Melvin B.
The location and customer service were fine, with speedy and straight forward check out of the truck. I would have liked to receive some instruction on checking back in after hours before we left as we weren't even aware that we would be returning after hours. The process for that was a little stressful because the lot was full when we got back and we weren't sure where to park. Luckily the people who arrived just before us were still there and were able to pull their truck in enough to make room for us.adam B.
I arrived on time but I received my truck 45 minutes later after my arrival Because online check-in didn't work, the person told me that they didn't have any dollies and blankets despite I ordered them two months in advance , and as a result I had to go to another location and beg for some dollies, but I couldn't get any blankets. It was another waste of time . Therefore without blankets I damaged a lot of furniture. It was a horrible experience and when I returned my truck half an hour later I was charged extra $20. Warden and hwy 401 location canceled my reservation without even trying to contact me. Only booked it 8am just in case I needed it earlier and was told 916am it was canceled. No one mentioned such a big issue if I'm late and had to travel down to Gerrard after hour on phone on day I'm supposed to be moving already...never use your company again. No customer respect takes 2 seconds to call before you cancel my whole move as the elevator is booked for certain times. UselessVIC C.

The truck I received was the most disgusting. When I first receive it, I noticed a strong smell that I couldn't identify. After looking for the origin of the smell, I found a plastic food container with rotten food/unknown substance inside, with maggots crawling all around. I almost vomited. To have U-haul charge me for cleaning fees on top of that is just the most ironic thing. I will never use this location again.Jerome B.

It was difficult to find parking at this location and the key drop box was not easy to find. The electronic process for returning the truck/keys after hours was not clear. The uhaul website did not work on an iPhone web browser (I had to use a different phone). Again, it was assumed that customers had Internet access on their smartphone when dropping off the truck. When I was supposed to take a picture of the mileage and fuel levels on the dashboard, the camera on the phone went completely black did not register that a photo had been taken or submitted.ANDREW W.
