Called the day prior to arrange for a 8 am Friday pick up. No one returned my phone call. I called at 8am, was told someone could meet me at 10am, at 10 am, No one was there. I called it went to voicemail. A few minutes later they called back, No one was available to hook up the trailer or meet me at the Store. Chickens running everywhere, dirty unkept store front, very unprofessional.

Website and reservation system needs some work. I was unable to log in and my password was not recognized and had to call customer support the morning of pickup to log in. Also, customer should be notified in ad an email of the required verification phone call.

My reservation was only for 24 hours and I made sure the truck was returned ahead of time. The truck was not to be returned until 0530 PM but I returned it just before 2 PM. I had put gas in and also cleaned out the truck. Nothing was ever said about additional charges so I thought everything was ok and went pretty smoothly until I get an email 4 nights later saying that I still had an active reservation. I called uhaul immediately and they said the location never checked the truck in when I dropped it off. So now they have me having the truck 5 days instead of 1 adding additional charges. The next day my step father and I go back down to the location, where they corrected their mistake but also charged the card $51 for miles and gas when I did put gas back in the truck. The miles were their mistake not mine since they had moved the reservation around so many times. Saying that businesses had the trucks when they did not when I shown up. I ended up getting screwed out of a lot of money because of uhauls actions and I will not ever use them again. I would never recommend to anyone unless you want to get lied to on numerous occasions and screwed out of money for THEIR MISTAKES! This was the worst experience I have ever had, and the lady the truck was dropped off to was not helpful, she was quite rude and disrespectful. She should have helped me instead of going ahead and charging me when it was clearly not my fault for the charges. I asked her point blank so I guess this just means I’m screwed out of that money instead of you helping me since it was uhauls mistake. I went through the whole story. Not one ounce of empathy or compassion for me or my family. She said you should have called uhaul. I said I did numerous times and they said I just had to put gas in and my price would stay the same. I did everything I was told and when it was all over including gas the 1 day reservation cost my family $300. Keep in mind this was only supposed to cost with tax $140. Like I said, this was the worst experience I have ever had moving and If I have to use a truck again to move, I will definitely take my business elsewhere. The prices are ridiculous to begin with and they lied to me over and over. They should not have touched a pennny in my bank account after all the hell they put me through with both getting and returning the truck.

Other than the U Haul rentals out front of the building, it was hard to k om it was a U Haul rentals business. Not much signage.

Truck was old, almost 163000 miles. I was told it was the only 26ft truck within the 30 mile radius, so I had no choice. U-haul changed my preferred location and made me drive 30 min one way to pick it up. Steering was shot, truck moved all over the road,both loaded and empty. Transmission started to whine after I went over the first pass (I75 in KY and TN). And yes, I followed the UHaul instructions and turned off the Overdrive as indicated by the instructions inside the cab. I prayed the whole 350 miles that transmission would hold out until I made it home. Brakes squealed and worked only when I floored the pedal. A very disconcerting feeling when driving the fully loaded 26ft truck.

This was the nastiest little store. The people live in the store like squatters. I will never do business there again. Dirty dishes and pans on the stove. Stuff piled everywhere I watched child about 11 years old run the cash register and actually sell cigarettes at the drive up window. I had to leave a credit card number with a pending charge and then paid cash. I was worried i would be charged twice. It turned out okay but I will never step foot in that place again.

1st time uhaul renter, and I will never move again without one. Everything went more than perfect. I waited until last minute to find a truck, & spoke with Ron Bowling, who found the uhaul even though it wasn't at his location. The woman working at the bait bucket was super nice. The uhaul website was down before we picked our truck up, but she was able to get it to work to allow us our pickup. When I realized we needed the truck an extra day, thankfully all I had to do was call and she extended our reservation. Also I couldn't believe how CHEAP it was to rent the uhaul. Everything went way smoother than I expected it to.

Leading up to getting the truck was extremely stressful and frustrating. I made the reservation on line and choose the pick up location based on hours, I needed a place that would be open late, 7-8. 2 days after making the reservation I called the bait bucket to confirm. The young woman I spoke with and later meet was extremely helpful and pleasant, but she informed me I did not in fact have a reservation with her and she would not have a truck on that date. She suggested I contact 1800 uhaul, I did...3 times in one evening. I was placed on hold each time and eventually after long waits disconnected. I vowed to try again tomorrow. Before I could try I received a text from uhaul telling me I did have a reservation, but at another location only open till 5. It was already after 5 so I could not call. Before I could call the next day, the day I was to pick up the truck, I received a call from MCClures Auto in Corbin KY, informing me she would be closing at noon and I had to get the truck by then. I assured her I could not get it by noon, needed to get it between 7-8 pm. She said not an option. I asked her how early Sat am, she said not until Monday. That won't work for me, she said good luck and that was that. I once again called 1800 uhaul, after a long wait i was connected to a person, I went through my long story, put on hold again, later answered by a very helpful ear in Dayton, Ohio. I went back through my story. After lots of typing in the background he said there was a truck coming in to the bait bucket, yes the original place, at 7:30 , but it was not the size I needed. The size I needed was 5 miles down the road at McClures. At this point I will take it...he informs me I will receive a communication from the bait bucket confirming all this...I did. I then spoke with the same very friendly young woman, who I would later meet and she said yes I did have a reservation but she could not guarantee the customer would in fact turn the truck in as contracted, but she would stay open later if needed to try and help me get the truck. We arrived early, at 7, the truck was not due until 7:30. We left and she called us at 8 said the truck was there and we went to collect it. I wish I knew her name, she was so nice and certainly went the extra mile to have this stressful event end well for us. This is my third rental in 12 months and 4th in 24 months. The pick location/size has never been where or what I reserved or needed. The drop off...has always been wonderful.

Well for starters, I had reserved a uhaul close to my home. Like three miles away. The day I was going to pick up my u-haul, I got a text saying my location had been changed 25 miles from my home. This added 50 miles on to the mileage I had to pay for. The location, being far away from my home, I drove there. I was suppose to get 17 foot trailer, but all they had was a 26 foot. They had a 16 foot trailer when I arrived, I asked if I could get that trailer and they rudely responded no. The place I went to rent the uhaul was a very dirty, unkept store that had boxes and trash everywhere. It had cats running in and out of the store. The sales clerk was not friendly, she went over the u-haul fast, when I got into the u-haul there was garbage, drink cups, a can of skoal with a dirty spit cup. I had to clean this out myself. She told me I had to fill the gas tank to where it was. It was a little under a half a tank. When I arrived back to the store to drop off the Uhaul, I put $35 in gas in it. It was up to the half a tank line. She checked the uhaul over, never said anything, but when she was checking me out she said I did not put enough gas in it. She said I could leave, get more gas, and come back but it would be late! I was shocked. She then charged me an extra 19 dollars for the gas. I filled the tank up past where it was when I received it, I promise you that. I was shocked, because I took the time to make sure everything was clean and orderly before I returned the u-haul which is something that was not done when I rented it. The truck did serve its purpose, it ran great, and I am thankful for that, but my u-haul experience was less than satisfactory.

Lots of confusion how to properly book my appointment for a Uhaul. Then my contract had the wrong date on it and they told me to call an 800 # to explain so I wasn't over charged. Maybe better training needed.

After making the reservation a week ahead of schedule I found that two reservations had been booked, After receiving the confirmations I called and cancelled the Bait Shop reservation only to get to London, KY from WV and find that neither location had a reservation for me. An hour and a half later we met the hired movers after they had waited for us for 45 min. as I was paying them by the hour. The three hour drive with all my belongings was met with a constant brake failure light and alarm. The vibration was the least of the worries as we were just wanting to make it back to WV without the brakes actually going out on the hills and curves. Nerve wracking !! I called Uhaul and was told the mechanic would call to see if he could tell us whether we should stop the truck or continue on, The call never came, disgusted with the whole experience.

They charged me for something I don't even knew I was getting charged. The place was dark when we left the truck there on Saturday 11 p.m. The store was closed I left the key in the box on the door. The truck was filled the truck up and the mileage should have only been charged the difference between the $100.00 deposit. I figured, I should have been given a credit to my account instead of being charged.

The truck had just been transferred to this facility with a warning light on. The local service was very friendly and professional, however I was allowed to book a vehicle on the uHaul website that would have saved me $40 under incorrectly given hours for a facility 20 miles closer to where I was moving.
