The truck I used needs to be retired. The passenger side door did not latch so my husband had to HOLD THE DOOR SHUT to keep it from swinging open while we drove! Also, it shook while driving around 40 MPH, made hissing noises when we pressed the break and I think the fuel indicator is broken. We were less than 5 mi from the drop off point when we filled it up until the pump clicked but when we got back into it, the gauge only read 7/8 of a tank so I'm pretty sure we're going to get charged for the difference. Oh, and the dolly was already loose when we opened the back, so I'm sure we'll be charged for that too.

The location wasn't very clean and the rental was difficult to get out of the spot it was parked. I had to ask the attendant more then once to please help me get the rental out of the spot so I didn't hit a building and a brick wall that was mear inches from the side of the rental.

Had all sorts of computer issues and printer broke as we stood there. Although they allowed us earlier than scheduled pick up, and were nice, it took about 30 minutes to get our truck. Also truck was parked tightly, with a trailer on the ground close behind it and I had to maneuver the truck around it to back it out. They should have pulled it out for me. I was the only customer.

This place was inappropriate for any female who is picking up a Uhaul vehicle alone. The property was run down and felt as if you might be in the wrong place. The man whom I picked up the vehicle from expressed his political beliefs more than once and talked about guns. His conversation was inappropriate. He also mentioned that he usually greets customers with his shirt off. I felt very uncomfortable in this situation.

Everything went great after I got to the right place. The online reservation is where I had the initial issue. Sent to the wrong address twice. The 1st place was non existent. 2nd place didn't have the equipment.. But once I got to the right place everything worked smoothly.

After hours return site would not work- location is in a less than desirable location so after waiting on hold for a uhaul rep for over an hour and getting dark I left but continued on hold for an additional hour- I was no longer at the location and could not supply new pics as requested after downloading the app. If your .com site is that unreliable some effort should be made to have reps more available

As a recurring U Haul customer, this is the worst experience I've had renting a truck from you. Site manager was ok but not really interested in quality of the truck - the low tire pressure alert was on when I turned on the truck. I went back in to the office and he informed me every car he has has that alarm on, don't worry about it. The tire was only slightly low, so I left it at that. U Haul changed my rental location from King St. in Charleston where my son was moving into his apt. on King St., to this site 25 miles west of my requested pick up site, so 50 miles unnecessary round trip and $50 unexpected mileage cost due to UH changing location on me. That change was texted to me at 9pm the evening before my 830am planned pick up at King St. UH site. Not happy! Then, the truck had no working air conditioning for Sat. July 31st, one of the hottest days of the summer in SC at 91 degrees, plus having to drive an extra 50 miles with no AC in the truck, not good. I am requesting that UH refund me the $50 in extra miles I was not planning for from the King St. rental site as was per my reservation. Need to inform customer that pick up location has changed! The location i reserved a trailer for had to provide me with the updated location. When I arrived at the other location, the office was dirty and unorganized. The individual I dealt with was rude and lectured me about how I need to read all of the fine print. Also he went on a rant about covid and how masks are ineffective. This is highly unprofessional. I did not request a lecture from the U-Haul representative about his beliefs. After being lectured for 30 minutes, I arrived home to begin filling my U-Haul I discovered a small frog living in the trailer!

The large dolly I ordered was not included with the truck upon pickup. When I reported the dolly was missing on the website (when I dropped the truck back off since I used the truck on a recent holiday when the office was closed), I expected someone to reach out to me to address the price difference since I noted it in the closeout paperwork however not a single customer service representative has reached out to me. The truck was great however I'm unhappy about the lack of support for addressing the company's oversight - especially since I paid to rent an item I did not receive.

Corporate should call considering there's a police case due to the franchises owner of threats of bodily injury. Filed a false police report. This franchise should be pulled immediately! I've found an attorney that states his false police report constitutes for damages considering I had to have two police offers dispatched to return the trailer. Call me before my lawyer calls yours. Our appt was for 10am and we got there at 9:55am. There are two signs posted outside saying the location opens at 9, so we went in to get our truck, but were kicked out and told he doesn't open until 10 and there was someone scheduled ahead of us. So we waited outside until 10am. We were the appt that was scheduled. The guy had no reason to be so rude to us. If you don't want people walking in before you open, then fix your signs so they read the appropriate times.

Our initial pickup location did not leave the vehicle I reserved....we were left with no U-Haul and scrambling trying to get a different one -the new pick up location was 20 miles out of our way-and upon arrival we were greeted with the owner cursing and complaining about doing his job . Then we had to park blocking the entrance bc of the location of all the other returned truck. I didn't receive any compensation for all of my troubles because the rental locations were slacking. I don't know if I will use U-Haul again.

My original reservation was in Moncks corner. I went to go pick it up and the van wasn't there. I had to drive to another location wait over 45 minutes to get the van. In turn I rented from much farther location than desired which caused me to pay for extra fuel and mileage. Not very happy with uhaul at this moment. Will seriously consider other options on my next business delivery.

I am 45. I have moved 42 times in my life. I have used UHaul MANY times through the years, as a matter of fact, exclusively. This location had the absolute worse customer service and old worn out truck I have ever dealt with. First, the guys running the location are liars and cheaters. I signed a document that there was 3/4 of a tank of gas in the truck and if I did not return it with 3/4 of a tank they would charge me $4.00 a gallon (which followed with a long right wing political diatribe that had no place in customer service!) When I got in the truck it had 1/4 of a tank. The receipt I received this morning stated I only drove 36 miles. But it cost me $75 to get the tank to 3/4 of a tank. Second, the truck was old and falling apart. Inside the cab the felt on the roof was peeling off, the truck was not cleaned from previous users. I felt cheated, I felt used and taken advantage of. The mocking of Hispanic name as they competed in pronouncing it, the complete and utter unwelcoming atmosphere of the location made for an experience I would never want to go through again. I know this location does NOT represent UHaul, I have done enough business with your company to know this. I will continue to use UHaul, but I will never ever step foot in this lying cheating stealing location. Thank you. And Have a great day!
