I showed up at 10:00 am to pick up my reservation....no truck. They sent me to another location, no truck for me there either. Called head office, they through traffic department located me a truck 30-40 minutes out of my way in Quebec, and only available at 2:30, a fully 4.5 hours after I had hoped to start my move. Made for a long , tiring and frustrating day. I will think long and hard about ever using uhaul again.

Fine a location that doesn’t look like a dump and have some one who is there not just at specifics times. This was a hard location to find if u are from outside the city.

I had an awful experience on the drop off end. I called u-haul to find out where I was supposed to drop off my truck and dolly, and I was directed an address on Swansea Crescent. Turns out that this address was some abandoned lot with a whole bunch of scrap in it and a giant padlock on the chain-link fence. Kind of looked like a place where you go if you want to get murdered. I called them back but they insisted that it was there, so I kept looking to no avail, wasting gas in the process. Eventually the lady on the phone gave me a new place to drop it off (1475 Triole), and when I got there, while it actually was a u-haul place, it too was a dump with a whole bunch of trash everywhere. What's more, there was nobody there at all, so I had to call back again to find out who to give the keys to. Turns out that I was supposed to 'know' to put the keys into this totally unsecured mailbox and just walk away, even though there were no signs. I didn't even care, after all the trouble I got put through, it would've been u-hauls own fault if the truck got stolen. U-haul should not send its customers to abandoned lots, and if they are supposed to drop the keys off in a mailbox, it should be a secure lockbox and the instructions should be clear.

There were some issues with the rental process. The website wouldn't let the person start the rental and it didn't tell him why. It took us a long time over half an hour, to get going. Plus, the initial location was supposed to be next door to us, but then changed. The problem is it sent us all the way across town for pickup. If you need to change the location, it would have been good to have a closer one(there were half a dozen closer locations). Another issue was that the prices on your website were in Canadian dollars, but for some reason when adding moving help we were charged 40 dollars more than the posted price on U-Haul. Apparently your rental prices are in CAD but your mover prices are in USD. The extra 40 for USD conversion was not helfpul.

It’s a tight road, industrial area. The uhaul lot is also a school bus lot with no room to park. The gentleman that took the keys after I used the self return option never even got out of his car. No thank you’s, no have a nice day. Just a grizzly looking person who looked to be inconvenienced by my presence. Triole street uhaul is garbage. 0 stars across the board for those people.

I'm a bit disappointed that I my credit card was charged for three days, whereas I used the trailer only for two days. At the time of the pick-up, the owner/operator of the location specified that if I drop the trailer before noon on Friday, I would be charged for one day. If I needed to keep the trailer for another day, I'd simply need to return it before noon on Saturday, and I'd be charged for two days. Following his instructions, I returned the trailer around 11 AM on Saturday (long before noon). I spoke with the owner/operator in the yard, who was busy with his equipment at the time. He was too busy to file the paper work, and instructed me to drop the trailer, and he'd bill my credit card for two days. I followed his instructions and left without getting the invoice or receipt. At the pick-up time, I liked the professional service that I received from both the owner/operator and his employee who helped me hook-up the trailer. So I would recommend this location to others. However, if the over-billing was done on the part of the location, I would never recommend them again. I still hope that the extra charge is simply an error, perhaps generated by the automatic billing system. Kindly correct this error, and refund the overcharge of $42.88 to my credit card. Thank you.

Provider was not initially equipped to handle the transaction due to technical difficulties but promptly sent the receipt and confirmation once resolved. Equipment was available and provided as expected.
