The gentleman working there was friendly and very helpful. I really appreciate his demeanor. It made a stressful situation easier to contend. The van I rented was super easy to drive even though it was much larger than my car. And it smelled nice.

I had ordered a dolly for rent. I was not informed that I would not be getting this dolly until I checked in with the 24/7 app that informed me I had been refunded. A heads up sooner than when I was picking up the truck would have been nice instead of me scrambling around to find one while I was trying to move.

First off I reserved a trailer online & got the reservation guarantee. When I arrived at the location on May 31st at 8am (date & time of reservation) there were only other customers there waiting. I was told the "U-Haul guy" was trending to other matters at that time & we were to just wait for him. It wasn't until after 9am that the "U-Haul guy" returned & got each customer taken care of. This put me behind schedule & effected my entire day. Since I didn't get my trailer at the guaranteed time, I sent a message on the U-Haul website at 9:45am that day to claim my $50 & I have not heard anything back from them as of yet. I also mentioned it to the U-Haul guy as he was doing my check-in & was told they don't have anything to do with that stuff at that location, so I got the name (Jeff) of the GM. Also, I kept the trailer longer than originally anticipated but I was in contact with the location I where picked trailer up every day that I had the trailer to keep them informed. On the 5th day I received text messages from the U-Haul guy threatening to file a stolen report w/the local police. Completely absurd, unwarranted, & empty threat considering I spoke to someone at that location every day & my card was being billed daily. So it's not as if any payment was stopped or I didn't keep them informed. I think this location needs to get it together professionally before they make ridiculous accusations & threats.

The back of the truck was pretty dirty and required us to sweep out the dirt and dust before loading it with our own stuff. This has nothing to do with the location I picked up from but I was forced to take a much larger truck then I needed for this trip because there was no 15 foot truck near my pick up location. I booked our trip over a month in advance and the best I was offered was $100 off a truck double the size I needed. With gas prices as high as they are this increased my gas budget substantially. I also received the truck with 20 miles of gas left in the tank and returned it with 27 miles left. I was told at the pick up location to return it with the same amount of gas and I wouldn't be charged anything additional. I now have a pending charge for gas. I have already spent over $700 in gas for this oversized truck. I would love to talk to someone about getting this resolved and receiving a partial refund for the extreme amount of money spent on gas. Gracias

We had an 830am reservation and the location was closed. No one from the business would answer the phone. Fortunately the area Uhaul sales Mgr was able to assist but this caused to drive an additional 20 miles and spend over an hr trying to get help. Also this was not our preferred location to begin with. This location was 50 miles away so the extra travel was on top of this.

The equipment was damaged in a way that was not apparent until use. When I attempted to contact the company to switch it out they did not answer the phone, and the office was closed when I returned even though it was during posted open hours. All the personal cars that were there when I picked up the equipment were still there when I returned, but the doors were locked. I made the equipment work, and when I contacted them the next day they said they make a note on the damage, but according to the location I dropped the equipment off at they did not.

We originally booked at the Pekin location but no one opened that day so we had to delay our move. We also could not then return the truck to Pekin so we had to drive the extra millage. The Washington St facility was very nice though.

Bill had our truck ready when we needed it and readily changed our times of use easily and promptly. He was very accomodating. I wish he did not smoke for the building had that smell to it.

Truck door keep on sticky as the roller were rusted out and partially off the track. I was given the sheet that showed how much gas I had to return and it was higher that the gas that was in the tank

Customer service was great. Facility was an old, dirt, rundown former Mexican restaurant. The truck cab smelled of cigarettes and gave me a headache. The back door would stick halfway down.

called me to make me change return location to East Peoria instead of Peoria. Did not have the hand truck or appliance dolly even though they informed me via phone they would have the appliance dolly! took 25 minutes to check me in even though everything was booked on line

The guy who gave me my truck and auto transport literally screamed at me, telling me the money wasn't taken out of my account even though I showed him it was, gave me the wrong trailer and when I called to tell him he hung up on me. There's much more that made this experience terrible for me but thanks to the gentleman in lincoln I forgive uhaul

Your gas policy is ridiculous. I received a truck that only had a quarter tank of gas … I did not have enough gas to go the 112 miles I needed to go. Therefore I had to stop on the way - estimate how much gas I would need to get to my destination and leave the tank at 1/4 full (the level I started) The tank should be full every time a renter picks up the truck and should return it full or it should be filled by the company…

The building was freezing cold. It was disorganized. The U-Haul trailer I was given had a flat tire and caused my to jackknife driving it. This experience was very poor. I liked that there was enough U-Hauls available, but the employee couldn't find keys and his boss wouldn't answer to help to get them. Very disorgzized.

The place was a dark, cold, smelly former restaurant. It was messy and not well kept. Bill the man who helped me, was fine but I was sad to East Peoria because the other site screwed up my reservation. This was not a good experience at all!

We've rented from this location numerous times and never had a problem before. When we picked up our truck this time, the truck had almost no fuel (39 miles until empty) even though the uhaul location is across the street from a gas station. The floor of the truck had dirt on the floor and there were multiple plant hooks hanging off the side rails in the back that made us think the prior renter used it to move gardening supplies. When we brought up the fuel issue to the clerk that was working we were told that is why we were given a discount of $40 off our rental, but due to current gas prices it took $62 across the street to get to half a tank. After having the truck for one day the check engine light came on for the truck so we brought it back a day early and finished using pick up trucks. When we arrived to turn the truck back in the location had an open sign lit up but was told that uhaul portion was closed and put the keys in the box outside and there wasn't anyone there to speak with about the truck. Was very disappointed in our experience as this has always been a great location to rent from.

I had made this reservation to be a contactless pick up. When I went to pick up the truck it was not even remotely ready to pick up. I had ordered an appliance dolly abs blankets and those weren't ready either. We had to let the truck run 30 mins before leaving so we could get the windows de-iced. The building is in horrible condition and smells like pot. I will never rent here again. Deplorable!!!

My truck had a sensor out on tire so if one was going flat you couldn't tell. Other customer had a totally flat tire on their truck. Otherwise location hours are great and they were friendly.

Go to a different location, and DO NOT use the stupid return app. The place was supposed to be open until 6. I got their shortly after 5, and their signs said “open” and open until 6, but the door was locked. After knocking on the door, someone came and said that they were closed and to put the key in the box. I did that, and then noticed that I would be charged $20 if I didn't use the app to return the truck. Then, while in the app, it wants photos of inside the truck. I had already locked the truck and dropped the keys in the box. And, it's location service requirement wouldn't work until I found the right setting hidden in the iPhone. Big hassle! Then, when I called their today, I gave the guy my name and contract number THREE times, but he couldn't even find that number. Overall, just BAD!!
