I rented a truck for one-way rental out of Donnelly Idaho. Long Valley Farm supply. I received phone call a couple days before telling me that there are no trucks available. Long story short I had to travel to council ,Idaho to pick up my truck. 104 miles round-trip. You know, there is a Seinfeld episode called the reservation. That’s pretty much how my weekend went. “Anyone can take a reservation but you’ve got to hold the reservation and that’s really the most important part isn’t it? The holding of the reservation“

If your phone doesn’t have geo-location services, you will be charged $20 for dropping the truck off after business hours and using the key drop box. Even if you’re returning the truck prior to its due date! They wouldn’t dare give you any credit back for bringing it early, nope, they will still find a way to charge you!!!!!

The issue here is perhaps situational. Returning equipment after hours on a long weekend [and one day early] shouldn't cause a late charge calculated to the opening hour of business of the operator when they arrive to work after the long weekend to find the rented item. Thankfully I had called and had spoken to the most excellent pleasant and efficient 1 800 uhaul agent Aaliyah J. when I returned and photo detailed the event with her, one day earlier than the rental return date. [Aaliyah had obtained Supervisor approval as well to return my rental to a different location because the two closest return locations would not take the rental when I had called to confirm on route to the area - 500 miles from the rental pick up site ]. Also cudos to Ronald at 1 800 u haul who was also most pleasant and sincere in facilitating a refund on the inappropriate late charge. Thank you Aaliyah and Ronald. WFM

The moving helpers had dropped off my car with utility trailer attached for me to get home when I turned in the truck. I had a padlock on my trailer hitch and in the move the key got lost. I asked if they knew where I could get a hacksaw and they just offered to cut it off with bolt cutters, no charge and very nice. I will become a customer of their tire service because of their help with this problem.
