Michael HThe cleanliness of the truck was never checked. I had to sweep a good bit of leaves out of the back of the van. Also the van had an issue with a door ajar warning that interfered with me taking pictures of the odometer and fuel gauge.

Luke NBe sure that staff has knowledge that is useful and resources are present in giving customers correct advice on purchasing tow equipment. Most tow hitches are universal and take a 2" universal ball which isn't used for smaller trailers. A 1 7/8 hitch ball is needed instead on these trailers to be safe. The station owner knew the answer. Advice followed!!

OLAOLUWA AFirst, this was not the preferred pick-up location. U-Haul did not notify me of the change. Although, the attendee at the Shell was friendly and accommodating, the process took over 30 minutes. The previous user had not cleaned the truck or folded the blankets. There was used packing tape and an open water bottle in the back of the truck.
Grant GI made my reservation online. I received my confirmation email. I arrived on time at the correct location and the person didn't have my online confirmed reservation. I jad to wait 10 minutes in -5 degrees weather for employee to make a brand new reservation. I returned the vehicle in excellent condition with correct gas amount. I received a receipt for 36 dollars. Then, 10 minutes later I get a 2nd receipt for45 dollars. I called Brittany at customer service and she said the 45 dollars should fall off mycredit card. This has been a terrible experience for me and I will never use uhaul again.
Christina RThis “bodega” style Shell gas station, meaning one attendant in a small hut in the middle, handled my rental impressively. I needed a small cargo van, and all I could find online was a box truck. I was on my way to pick up the reserved box truck at a different location when I spotted a uhaul van sitting at this Shell location. I walked up and asked if it was available for rent. The attendant 1) confirmed that it was. 2) helped me cancel my previous reservation then… 3) processed my rental agreement & walkthrough so fast, he was able to get back to a waiting customer in all but 5-7 minutes!! I’d buy Uhaul stock If all Uhaul rentals can be this easy. Big props to attendant for knowing his stuff and getting it done. Otherwise, I honestly wouldn’t bother writing a review. Good job.
Ahmad IThe truck was not maintained well. It needed a new transmission. The steering was terrible especially making left hand turns.
Patrick OThe original location for the reservation didn’t have my truck I reserved on 11/13/2021. So we had to go to another location. The location is actually at a gas station, when returned I filled it up and turned it in. To my surprise, they still charged me a refueling fee. Never had any issues with Uhaul, so I would recommend just going to a different location.

JOHN JI will be calling your service dept and demanding a credit to the rental fee. YOur app would not accept an odometer picture and I had to wait almost 40 minuets to speak with someone on your call center. Unacceptable
john gIt was listed as 24 hours available, but we had to wait until 8 AM to get the key. We showed the attendant the validation and all we needed to do was pick up a key.
Gary WI scheduled my rental from 7am-7pm. When I arrived at the location to pick up. The gentleman working informed me that he was unable to help me because the guy that does the rentals doesn’t come in to work til 8:00am. I had to wait an hour for him to come in. Both gentlemen were kind and helpful but I shouldn’t be able to click on 7:00am if it isn’t available til 8:00…very frustrating!!

STEVE BIt took 1 hour for Uhaul to finally release the truck to me even though I had a confirmation number. I was billed for a handtruck dolly and blanket pads that were not in the truck. I reached out to Uhaul to rectify this overcharge and they will not respond. Horrible service by Uhaul.
Brian RPick up was supposed to be in our home town, but ended up 25 miles/40 minutes away (50 miles/80 minutes round trip!). That is inexcusable. Sykesville location would not answer the phone all day to confirm our pickup time and talk about options since the location was so much further away. Incredulous that uHaul would do this to a customer. Probably will be turning to Penske in the future! murphshannon@gmail.com

VANCE MThe reservation was never confirmed with me and then sent to the wrong location an extra 30 miles away. I was told if I brought the truck back that I would get a deal found out only if I confirmed it. Guy at the skyesville shell uhaul said just bring it back he will take care of it. So we did and he still charged me all the extra miles to bring it back. So an extra 200 miles . I hate uhaul and will never recommend or use again.

JOHN SPickup was very rushed and in my opinion unprofessional. Truck had various things broken and i wasn't given the opportunity to show to anyone. Very poor experience.
SHAWN CThis is the second time we rented from here in less then a month for a local pickup and delivery. First time was great and affordable about 43.00. Second time same route n time frame it was 22.00 more In fuel. I looked at the key and looked over truck. Didn't look at contract. It was the wrong truck. Didn't have much more then 1/4 tank in the truck. Got back and he said truck had over half tank. We were nice and said ok so we added more fuel as I was looking over I noticed the mixup with truck n keys. They kinda fixed it but it was still about 3.00 more for the truck and 17.00 in fuel
john gI switched to this location which was a good choice to make. The earlier location at Carroll Fuel in Eldersburg was Not a good experience. As I left, saying to the attendant that I would figure something else out, he said, good luck it will take you forever to do it on your own. Thanks to the cooperation of U-haul office and scheduling personnel, along with the rental location in Sykesville, MD, it all work out. Thank you.
Chris BI am very disappointed in U Hual. My pick up location was changed several times. The last time at the very last minute. No consideration give to the customer. I had to find a ride to a town 30 miles away. I was left a voicemail never spoke to anyone. This left me in a pickle and cost me $60 to the location. There has to be a better way to do business. I am not going to use U hual again l.

Maz EThe truck stalled in the middle of the street. Got it to crank got my drive way it sat for three days. Due to language barriers and miscommunication I was finally given a customer service number I was told to wait to see what would happen once the tech was there. He arrived around 5 ish. Ran a check on the truck stated that it was dry no fluids so he filled the truck took it for a test drive and upon returning the truck to my driveway he ran over and left the weight of the truck on my paint stick that cost me over $100I was able to return the truck never finishing the job upon return I was told my be was 224 What a waste of time money and effort risking life well this experience was one for the books I am seeking an adjustment to this bill and my paint stick replaced please I can be reached 443-448-2583

Joshua OTrailer was missing one of the wheel hub dust caps, which I felt was not safe, so I had to purchase a new one at a local Tractor Supply store. Also, the dealer had only one person on duty who also had to attend to fuel and food customers. He also struggled with the paperwork for the reservation and contract.
jack aMy requested drop off location was changed from woodbine md at the last minute to a location much further away. This caused an unbelievable amount of problems
larry vIt was very easy bc this was the drop off location at a gas station. However no U-Haul personnel are there on Sunday when I dropped off the vehicle and the gas station attendant just took the keys. I was a little uneasy with this bc they had no paperwork to give me to confirm I dropped the keys. That would have been helpful in case there was an incident.
