Janice JU-Haul at this location was excellent but overall U-Haul's customer service is poor because of the website. The reservation I made was dir another location, your system changed my reservation to a different location that did not have an available truck and I had to go to a third location to pick up my rental. POOR SERVICE OVERALL...

MARCIA GThe location was fine… what wasn't fine was everything that happened before we arrived at the location. We got a call less than 24 hours before our scheduled pick up that our 26ft. Truck was not available and the only truck was 20ft and it was 30 miles away. This caused a HUGE disruption in our trip, and not only that, racked up miles on the truck that we had to pay for. Lastly, we were promised that the truck would be discounted and that we would receive a $50 credit, and that wasn't applied when we arrived. We had to wait on hold for 2 hours at the uhaul location (in the middle of our move) all to get connected to someone who put us on hold and then hung up. Overall, it was the WORST experience with uhaul we have ever had.

Ronald BIt was a freaking 39 MINUTE DRIVE away from where we originally chose. It was in such a dangerous section of town that I could not pick it up myself, but had to have someone else with me. We'll never use uhaul again.

Dewayne DI had a great experience with Uhaul . I book my Uhaul in Fairfield Alabama a week in advance on the Saturday To Pick Up my Uhaul Truck 8:30am truck was ready to go . The truck ramp make it very Easy to load . I drove my Truck from Pleasant Grove Alabama to Dallas Georgia no problems My truck had a great ride , the A.C. keep me cool , the Raido pick up my Collage game . We unloading the truck was easy using the ramp . The Uhaul dealer in Dallas Georgia very nice . It's very easy to see why UHAUL # 1 America move it your self company .
wayne sThis comment is not specific to the Fairfield, AL location, as will be made clear below. My daughter rented a 15' truck online on 6/26/18, several days prior to her move. The pickup was scheduled for Saturday morning at a location near her house in Vestavia Hills, AL (suburb of Birmingham). When I arrived at the UHaul office in Vestavia Hills on Saturday morning to pick up our truck, there was no truck available. We were told someone had failed to return a truck and there were no other trucks available at that or any other nearby location. Apparently UHaul had no margin on the availability of trucks, and the failure of one person to return a truck on time meant we had no truck. We were directed to a location in Fairfield, AL, about 15 minutes away, and we were able to rent a truck there. Of course, it required two trips in the car (to pick up and return the truck) to this more remote location, as well as extra mileage on the truck, for which we had to pay, all of which was due to no fault of our own, and contrary to our expectations and to the order we had placed days before. The failure of UHaul to have the truck we had reserved in Vestavia Hills caused us a delay in the moving experience of about 45 minutes, and resulted in an unnecessary extra mileage charge of approximately $20 (21 miles x $.99/mi.). The process inconvenienced our family, and the experience with UHaul was wholly unsatisfactory and disappointing.
Douglas GTruck needs an alignment and mileage prices are too extreme.

michael cMy experience was superb the associate was more than helpful and on top of that friendly and polite I needed to move asap/same day I called to get a truck she had it ready for me and held it till I got there I would deffinitely go back and reccomend to anyone and the price was reasonable.

shirley bNeeds new management... below poor!!! Was treated very bad never received service like this. My appointment for pick up was 10:00am and the store opened at 11:00am then they had someone working who was not even employed there.... the manager was on the phone walking her friend through on what to do. Very bad!!!
Angel GNothing. The lady at this facility went above and beyond. The customer who rented my truck the day before did not return on time (not the worker or U Haul's fault). The worker was very apologetic and helpful. Will remember her on my next move.
