Location is in a seedy area with people hanging around with ski masks and not sure what else was taking place. The location where I made the reservation in N.J. was nice, people were very helpful and I would recommend this location to anyone for u haul rental or buying a car. Very nioce people.

They gave me a second location to drop off my trailer and then I was charged late charge. I still can’t understand. How was I charge late charge when it wasn’t my fault?
Jorge VazquezUpon arriving at the designated Uhaul drop-off location, I was immediately engulfed by a sense of disquiet. The absence of official signage was the first red flag, contributing to the unsettling atmosphere. The presence of individuals loitering both in front and at the back of the establishment did little to alleviate my growing unease. It's the kind of scenario that, if I were by myself, would have me turning on my heels and seeking an alternative. Navigating through the waves of my discomfort, I sought assistance in unhitching the vehicle. This task was met with its own set of challenges, not least the emotional turmoil stirred by the unfamiliar surroundings and the palpable air of uncertainty. While no harm came to pass during this encounter, the cultural disconnect left me feeling vulnerable and out of place—feelings no customer should have to endure when utilizing a service. The eventual assistance received does little to temper my resolve to advise others to steer clear of this location, unless they possess a nuanced understanding of the local area and its cultural context. In good conscience, I cannot recommend this Uhaul drop-off point. Your peace of mind and sense of security are paramount, and, unfortunately, this location falls short on both accounts.
Jasmaine CookWhen I went to drop off the trailer, the personnel did not know how to remove the wheel straps so that I could take my car off of the trailer. They also did not know how to disconnect the chains that secured the car to the trailer. I had to show them. Then, after turning in the truck and the trailer on November 1st, they didn't report it until November 3rd and I was charged for an extra day. Also, there were about 15 people who appeared to be homeless hanging around the store. I was concerned about leaving my car parked after dropping off the trailer. Although everything was safe, it did not feel safe.

Lydell WilliamsGreat rental experience but my only issue was the online receipt didn't show how much I paid or the credit card last 4 digits like a normal receipt does. I needed it for reimbursement and not having a proper receipt is making that difficult. Consider sending a proper receipt, showing how much paid and the method of payment, etc. to customers after the transaction.

Stephen OConnorThis is a very unsafe area for a drop off location with no supervision. I was approached by two people looking for drugs. One was trying to steal my moving straps as I was unloading my personal items. Highly recommend relocating to a more secure location. Would never return.

Helen BrownFirst the drop off location that I had selected in Wilmington DE was changed to New Castle DE which was frustrating. Then while trying to complete the “return my truck” process on the app the session somehow was disconnected and I was not able to complete the forms and the app gave me no further instructions and my reservation was already gone. This drop off location was also in an extremely uncomfortable area with questionable activities happening on the property and to top it off the key drop box was not easily found near where other U-Hauls were parked. When we did finally locate it thanks to Keith (whose number we had from issues earlier at the Philadelphia location, sounded like he managed the Philadelphia area for U-Haul and he was super helpful ) the hole in the drop box was far too small to fit the car key we had to return. We had to go inside the store and a worker took the key but it was an overall uncomfortable location and we had a terrible experience.
Jacob BaumanWhen I returned the truck, the mileage was not logged from the time it was returned before me. Mind you, there was already a hold put on my card for twice the mileage I planned going. I understood the purpose for that, however when returning the truck I was told I went over 80 miles, when I went no more than 12-15 miles. This was not resolved and I was told to come back multiple times for it to be resolved. This is very inconvenient. All because the mileage was not tracked, even though there were pictures taken before I took the truck, and the guy that gave it to me backed it up to the tow dolly. The mileage should’ve been double checked at that point when the truck was being looked over.

LaMeka Brownthe actual renting of the equipment on the app was fine. the equipment / truck was fine. Now as the location..... hmmmmm. The location was a gas station that stunk to the high heavens. It is a drug infested location. I was offered drugs about 3 times. I seen the owner walking out to attend us and it was like he didn't care or maybe they cut him in to sell drugs there because he really didn't care even after I told em. There were multiple people there selling drugs hounding us to buy drugs even while he was out there. Nothing was done or said to the individuals. When I was a child that area was always a bit bad with all that junk but This was ridiculous. People would wLk up from where I believe the motel is behind the gas station get their drugs right the broad daylight/open air and leave. n it was one after another . no wonder why I saw the owner carrying a side arm on him. The owner seemed nice the person inside who attended us was nice. Everything was up to standards accept the smell inside the gas station n the open air drug market they had going on. E. A bum was in front of the store begging and hustling for money. How can you possibly allow your brand to be represented at a location like this with no fencing around the lot and despair all around the location.

Memory FyeThis location was in a pretty bad part of town. They had to lock each truck to prevent people from getting inside. We were asked for money multiple times by the locals during drop off. We couldn’t wait to get out of there. The workers were pretty nice though. Didn’t have the equipment me had reserved though. Which made everything that much harder! I will rent from a different location if at all possible in the future.

Melwin PerezNot only did I observe multiple interactions were the clerks displayed racist behavior to their clientele, I was made to believe that the clerks were reverifying my information but were really booking a second reservation that charged my account twice. The original clerks lied multiple times about the reason for the double charge and how to return the keys, and then instead of informing me that he did not have access to the system, he told me he couldn't find my reservation, felt offended because I interrupted him to advise I had been advise that same thing earlier in the day by his coworkers, and refused to provide his name, informed his other coworkers gave theirs, then proceeded to dismiss me. It took until the police arrived for the clerk to advise he didn't actually have access to the system, showing he lied to me originally. The clerk even took his racism even further, surprisingly in front of the police officer, by stating "Look how you look at me, no respect" when he invaded my personal space showing that he thought because of who he is verse who I am, afforded some kind of preferential treatment. The clerk backed off once the police officer told him he was actually being disrespectful but all of this would have been avoided if the clerks charged with running this Uhaul service through the Super Gas on in New Castle, DE would have been truthful from the beginning and i would be curious if Uhaul makes a point of partnering with companies that are racist and require police presence to tell the truth.

Just not a good location to drop off a vehicle that the customer would have to pay for if something happened while dropping off or that the company would if they broke in to it.

Very difficult to communicate with dealer via telephone; no telephone pick up and no facility for leaving voice mail message. Bad advice on how to secure vehicle on 4 wheel auto transporter.

RAYMOND ROSARIOWe scheduled a 9:30AM pick-up and the specific employee that handles Uhaul rentals at this gas station type shop did not show up until 10:15 or so...we drove an hour with 2 kids and ourselves and were on time for pick-up. Waiting 45 minutes for someone to show up to work so we can continue on with our busy day was a little infuriating to say the least.

SCOTT SARVERThe pickup location and vehicle were not an issue at all, everything was clean. The u-haul website alert system however is flawed. Our pickup was at 8AM, but the website changed our location pickup time at 7:30AM that same day, which was too short of notice. We were already on our way to the first pickup location. Another issue is that although the location changed (as notified on text message), the pickup location did not change on the uhaul website. This disconnect made it difficult for us to pick up the vehicle since the website only works when you’re in the “correct” location.
ZACHARY EISCHEIDWhen I reserved the auto hauler I intentionally selected the largest U-Haul center in Wilmington, DE. I drove 5 hours from out of town so wanted a great experience. Day of travel I had an email that my pick-up was moved to Super Memorial Fuel. It was a run down convenience store/gas station in a rough section of town. I pulled up and people were leaving the scene. There were only 2 U-Haul trailers behind the building. The workers seemed unfamiliar with the check-in process and even had to run my credit card about 4 times to to complete the reservation. People were waiting behind me to purchase vapes and beer. It worked out in the end and the trailer was fine, but I was very disappointed I was relocated the day of my trip to a satellite/franchise location that I would never have selected.

Mike SpinelliI tried to check my truck in with the cashier at the register and he was preoccupied, stoned out of his mind, staring at change in his hands. I finally got his attention and all he could say was "what?" I spent 2 days trying to avoid a late charge, which I did in the end, thanks to the AFM. The AFM was very helpful, but the AFM shouldn't have had to go out to correct their mess. I will never return a vehicle here again and I will advise my customers to steer clear of this location. What a tremendous lapse in professionalism.

Your night manager who I picked up the van from was great… considering the customers who he was dealing with while I was in line.

ANDREW VOLKERTThis location felt unsafe. The equipment appeared to be used the night before as a location for homeless to sleep in. The dealer kicked a bunch of garments and trash out of the trailer but not everything. When we got hole we found drug paraphernalia in the trailer. Not also wreaked of cigarettes (several butts in the trailer). We had to thoroughly clean and disinfect the trailer to be comfortable using it. I have registered this as a complaint twice and have not heard back with any apologies from corporate to date. I was routed to this location for the trailer 45 minutes from my home (not the selected location).
