Cancelled my reservation. Changed my location where they could only do self check out which was not available on the app for the location because it was set up incorrectly. Took an hour on the phone to fix it. Truck had check engine light.

We have utilized UHaul many times over the years for moves both small and large. The pick up process went well, no problems. However, when we dropped off the vehicle to the Sunoco Mahan location in Tallahassee, which is where we were instructed to drop it off, the staff there seemed very unprofessional. When I asked for a receipt the woman helping us just said, "Oh no worries, you don't need a receipt." We though everything was okay until 9 days later when we received a call saying the truck had not been returned. Needless to say, we were upset. Although it seemed like a large mess, we did have the help of several people at UHaul that helped turn the situation around fairly quickly. Thank you to Aiden and Jessica at the Corporate UHaul office who both spoke with me and verbalized their understanding of our situation and why we would be upset. Jessica in particular was calming and helpful. She even tried to call the actual drop off location to resolve the situation as immediately as possible. Overall, I would recommend UHaul to my friends, but I would be wary of workers who will not give you a receipt on the spot. Ultimately the situation was resolved, I received my final receipt and have had no further issues.

Michaell MandellNo one told me about the need to log onto the app when turning in the truck, so it was several days and another trip to the drop off location to have the personnel call UHaul with the drop off time info. They were very friendly and helpful though.

Gregory PabichI returned the truck to soho o station on Mayan drive. I pulled in to the gas pumps and refueled the truck to half full as I was instructed at the pickup location. The truck had half full of fuel when I picked it up and my contract showed it was half full. However I was told I had to fill the tank or I would be charged $75. I protested but clerk there was nothing he could do. He instructed me to call the place where I picked it up. I did call and while I was on the phone the clerk call uhaul, something said he would not do, and I guess he got it corrected. Clerk was not helpful just kept saying there was nothing he could do. I’ll never use the place again.

Was redirected to a different U-Haul location/neighborhood dealer twice due to a lack of availability. This has also happened to me 3 years ago.

stephanie ingramWe arrived punctually at our 9 am appointment to pick up a truck. The staff there “couldn’t remember his password” to get in the Uhaul system. He immediately started trying to send us elsewhere saying he couldn’t get his “AFM” on the phone. After waiting over thirty minutes, we had to leave for another appointment one of us had. We told the Uhaul staff there that we would be back, hopefully giving him time to work things out. So rather than my husband going on to begin loading, and, by the way, during the longest stretch of dry weather that day, we still had no truck. We returned two hours later to find that he had not tried to get things straightened out with his Uhaul access at all. I therefore got Uhaul staff on the main nationwide number to escalate this resulting in the “AFM” calling me to say that he was tied up earlier in the day but had not heard back on this matter at all. I informed him that he needed to do some in-depth training at this location. This was totally unacceptable. Not only was it now pouring rain, we had to stay over the next morning to finish loading the exact amount of time we had lost waiting for the truck that was right there before us. When we should have left around 7 am the next day for a thirteen hour drive, we left after 10 am and didn’t reach our destination until 2 am. Having to return a rental car at 8 am the next morning. We are senior citizens so this was no easy task doing all that loading and getting in so late due to this Uhaul curfluffle. However, the “AFM” did apologize and gave us a discount, so that was nice and the truck did well otherwise. Regardless of the issues we faced at the Tallahassee location, we are grateful to be able to have this service available.

Patricia KentnorThis truck was filthy. The whole cab was covered with mud. The back was full of dirt and the blankets were not folded. I returned it exactly the same way I found it and got charged a cleaning fee. I even uploaded one picture of the cab and tried to take multiple more to send but the app would not allow me. Will never use them again.

FREDDY MACIAS LOSANOI was supposed to pick up truck n Monticello, FL and had to go to Tallahassee, FL to pick up. So I had to arrange a ride to go get the truck when I was originally going to walk to get. I also ordered furniture pads and when I got to the location to pick up the truck they had no furniture pads. I had to give furniture away that I was going to wrap with furniture pads because they had none for me. Super disappointed on how it was handled and the heads up I got about picking up n a different location with no furniture pads.
