The gas reading was marked as starting with 1/4 tank of gas. The first thing I did was check the gauge and at best it was at 1/8 tank. I put $20 in the tank before I started loading the truck and it was still not up to 1/4 tank. After loading and unloading the truck I put in another $12 to get the gauge at 1/4 tank. Twenty miles cost me $32. I might use U haul again, if I can't find another truck rental near me.

I drove max 30km in the truck returned it after 16 hours was lied to about the insurance rate and charged double what my original quote was that I did online that when picking up was told didn't exist and my phone number didn't exist either had to cancel and get charged double to the original quote I am not happy with this kind of treatment

what to do? to make sure that people don't drive 100 km from Toronto for Yu-haul. At first, you get one address from where to pick up a U-Hall, you hope that you will have enough time and money, and on the day when you need to pick up a U-Hall, they push you a pig and send you to a completely different address 100 km from Toronto, and the person who paid more than $6,000 still has to out of pocket paying for Uber to get to Innisfil plus paying for gasoline at U-Haul to get back. I do not recommend

Truck available was half the size of the one requested, reserved a dolly and none was available, had to pay double in mileage and gas due to the only truck available was half the size of what was reserved, requested a 7:30 AM pickup to only get a truck available at 9:00 AM. Got a “my apologies” for all the inconvenience. Great service UHaul! Stay away from UHaul

Include a short compulsory video training about the features of the truck including how to turn the key to get the truck started or some basic things to do with some common challenges because Uhaul trucks may be different from other vehicles. This will avoid or reduce drivers calling for mobile mechanics or road side assistance which will save Uhaul money and save drivers or customers time.

Absolutely terrible service. If I had a choice to not choose uhaul ever again, I would. This is what happens when a company has monopoly of one way drop off that I am forced to choose them just so I can move. We "reserved" a u-haul truck 10 days before the move and 2 days before the move, we were notified that the pick location has been changed and that the closest truck is an hour away from our original pick up location. After a long and challenging conversation of asking them if they have any other option or if someone else can drive the truck down, they said no, that service doesn't exist so we had no choice but to accept the pick up an hour away and get there on our own dime. (Thanks uhaul for giving us an extra 100km to do your work) We made the drive an hour away to use their well-advertised 24/7 truck pick up to only get there with the truck unlocked on the lot, but no key to be found. The IT agent told us that the key may not have been returned or they weren't sure where the key could be but it was not in the drop box. So here we are 9:30pm in an empty lot on the phone with customer service for 30 mins just for them to tell us that they can't do anything on their end and for us to drive home and come back tomorrow morning. Feeling defended and upset, we had no choice but to drive home an hour away and then drive back first thing in the morning. We get there right at their indicated opening hour to only have the uhual guy NOT show up to work and we had to call uhaul again for them to call the owner and to tell us that the person is LATE and will be here in another 20 minutes. All in all said, because of this disaster of a situation, we lost our hired movers to move because by the time we got the truck and drove back an hour away, our booking for our movers had ended. We escalated for a customer complaint and they told us that they have resolved the complaint after giving us a $50 refund. And that each reservation can only open ONE complaint and that this was basically it. Nothing more they can do and we will not be compensated more or can even talk to anyone higher up in the food chain. Talking about about customer service, uhaul is a business that does not care about their customers. I wonder what a uhaul executive would do if they were put in our place and had to deal with what we had to go through and to only get $50 back and hours wasted.

It was a terrible experience picking up the trailer. I arrived at the location which was basically an 8x8 room. There were broken computers spread all over the floor. There were 5 or 6 Jamaican migrant workers crammed in the room and I had to rub elbows with them while tripping over computer parts to get to the counter. After the man processed my credit card, he pointed outside to where the trailer was. He wouldn't assist me with hooking it up. It was a car transporter. It was in very poor condition and I had to pick up a very expensive car with it. I couldn't imagine a female customer having to go into that location. I was scared and I'm a large man. Never again!

I had nothing but frustration by my entire uhaul experience On July 8th the 20 foot truck I reserved was revoked and someone took my truck even tho I did not cancel my truck. Canadas ATM interact and debut and banks and Rogers were down for a day which caused issues. I was promised a different truck of 20 and unlimited kms upto 900km Theb I had to spend a week in hotel because of uhaul messing up On the weekend of July 15 I again went to get my truck and was informed a hour before pick up that it would be a 10' not a 20' So then was promised more kms and it was then unlimited. As I had to travel many times because of the truck size change. Then I see you guys billed me another 300 The Wayne's auto repair claimed I didn't clean the truck I had 3 single moms clean that truck. Swept the back and everything. It truly was a terrible experience trying to use uhaul and I don't see myself recommending uhaul to anyone or using them again

I was supposed to pick up the 9' cargo van at 9:00 am but nobody was there. After 20 minutes or so there were a few of us waiting. Finally we'll after 10:00 somebody showed. It put me about 1.5 hours behind schedule for the day. I will not likely rent from U-Haul again.

reserved a truck for 11:30 AM pick up, I arrived and the vehicle was not there. The truck was not returned until 12:30 PM (1 hour late). As a result, I was not able to complete my move as planned and needed to rent the truck for 2 days vs. returning it same day. The customer service rep showed no empathy regarding the situation and I was forced to pay for 2 day rental. Terrible experience and poor example of customer experience.

The representative arrived an hour late from the reservation time. I had to wait at least 30 mins outside. Also, I asked to move the drop-off time from 3 PM to 4 PM as I couldn't pick up on time. Instead, he moved it to 2 PM after I left. So I was charged a double amount because of that. This is the second time something like this has happened to me at this location. In the past, when I mentioned during pickup that the truck needed cleaning. After the drop-off, this location charged me the cleaning fee. I had to spend hours with Uhaul to correct the charges.

Received email after booking that my rental was changed to 24/7 pick up. Booked pick up for 7:30am. Arrived onsite. Logged into uhaul account and message stated that my booking was changed to “in person pick up”. Called uhaul and after waiting for 45mins I told that the truck was not ready for a 24/7 pickup and would have to wait until store opened at 9am. Store employee arrived to work at 9:15 was extremely rude and did not apologize for being late. He then told me I had to have the rental back by 12:30. I said I will be returning it 4 hrs from now. Also requested an appliance dolly that was not provided in the truck for us. Overall I would not use this location for booking or even uhaul for that matter.

Trailer was returned late. I had it booked for 9am, store opened late and the trailer wasn't there. Trailer was returned by the previous renter after 10am. There was no tongue jack and he couldn't get it off his truck, I had to help him get it off

Everything was great, the pickup location was great. Only problem was that the truck bed wasn't clean, had borekn glass all over inside it. I had to clean it, but the owner of the pickup location gave me a customer service discount and made everything right.

A 17yo co-op student was left to run location on their own. Billing was messed-up and I was charged double. When I inquired about it and asked it to be adjusted and a partial refund, the co-op student said she couldn't do it and I had to wait for the owner to return to fix and call me. I received no call. I went online and had a “chat” conversation with “Robert” who I believe to be maybe a 5th grade co-op student as I think he had a very hard time comprehending written speech. I got a ref# and said someone will call the next day, that was now over a day ago. Nice service for your repeat client that has used you as a go to for anything to move. The female co-op student was polite and I don't hold her responsible. But I ask you…who puts a 17yo co-op student to run such an establishment, if a vehicle or trailer needs to be moved to make it available, who's doing it? She's not qualified, she doesn't have a licence to do so, or be insured!

They tried to charge me double the price and scam me for a full tank of gas, head office was needed 3 times just to get the owner to follow the rules. Once head office told him to refund me he still didn't believe them and made me wait to confirm it was really head office. I nearly called the police. I will never recommend u haul.

Trailer looked like it had kitty litter in it and smelled like that too. I told the girl that she said "dont worry about it we will clean it when it comes back". Back trailer lights were not working on one side. Hitch was very difficult to latch on and take off. Parking lot super icy and no one there to help me put on my truck. when we called the owner he said "if you dont know how to do it, look on youtube." Terrible service adn i will never go to this one again.

Had a reservation for 11am. Got a call at around 10am saying it was rented out and they'll be back at 12:30pm. So I show up just after 12:30 and it's still not there. Ended up waiting 2 hours almost, and it returned at 2:20pm. And all he could do is a measly $10 off. Unacceptable...

Attendant did not know how to work the system. Had to wait for someone else to come in for approximately an hour. Truck I had reserved was completely buried in snow. The fan also wasn't working so the vehicle had no heat. Luckily, there was another truck available that I had to dig it out of the snow. Made me very late for what I needed to be doing. Not happy at all.

I picked up a 6 x 12 trailer and when I went to lift it up it was very heavy. The tong weight is around 100 lbs. Too much for one person to lift. Perhaps you could start to add a cranking dolly on the new trailers.

I booked my uhaul to be picked up at 9am. The attendant did not arrive until 9:37am. He had an employee waiting outside as well. He apologized to the employee for being late but did not apologize to me the customer. The truck was dirty. I would recommend that they be wiped down before the next guest. Other than that, I had no issues while using the truck. Gracias

Although the truck wasn't dirty with garbage it hasn't been vacuumed or properly cleaned in a while. In covid times this was below expectations. It also had a smokers smell indicating previous rentals have smoked in the unit and is unappealing to a non smoker. Outside of this the process was easy and stroudtech was helpful when I called with a question

The guy tried to scam me. Asked me if I wanted insurance and I said no and he still put it on my bill. When I returned the trailer I asked him why that was on the bill when I already said I didn't want it and he said he would remove it for the payment. Payment was taken from my credit card today and the insurance charge is still in the payment.

My original pick up location was local. It was changed to the Innisfil address on Innisfil Beach Rd., one hr away. When I arrived there was no trailer. I had to drive to above location 20 mins away. The trailer had not been well inspected as a broken door hinge was discovered at the house. The attendant at Stroudtech was pleasant enough but not really engaged.

Does not let you know that if you go over the km you will be charged above and beyond. $600 total bill for a day rental. Absolute bs. Not notified of How many km I can go. Not the guys fault running the business.. Will never use U-Haul again. Customer service is a complete joke. Told me tough luck, pay the bill. His name was John mazeral. For the incompetent interaction with U-Haul. I wouldn't even rate it 1 star.

The rental was a circus. I live 5 minutes from the Uhaul dealer at 62 Commerce Park Drive which is where my reservation was supposed to be picked up. When I arrived there was another customer leaving with the trailer I had rented. The person at the desk stated that this person needed a trailer for an emergency and I would have to drive 15 minutes to another location to pick up the trailer. When I arrived there was no one working at the Yonge Street location. I am 60 years old and I could not lift the trailer with my back issue. Fotunately there was another older gentleman who arrived for a similar trailer and we helped each other to hook up. About 2 hours after I picked up the trailer I received a mail to complete regarding the condition of the trailer. It would not open. I had to call customer service and tell them the trailer was in good condition and returned in same condition. I received an invoice today with an $8 insurance which I did not request. Enough said.

I felt bad for the guy who was in the office. Mistakes were made and trucks weren't where they were supposed to be. He got the brunt of someone else's guarantee that didn't work. Thankfully we got our truck, was stressful for a bit because we only had that day to move our stuff. No truck would have made us have an awful day. The guy working was good.
