The self turn in here is unreliable due to phone reception in the area. The process took an hour because pictures would not load. Recommend the installation of wifi at this location. I did not desire to rate personnel because this was a self serving enterprise, however it is required to proceed.

I wanted to drop off the truck and have a person to talk to, as the check engine light had come on. I do not like dropping off Rental equipment without a person to receive and inspect it
RANDY WI believe the location was set up for failure so I hate that this will be a poor reflection on them. My original reservation was for another location and I got a call that it was moved to 45 minutes away. Then we get there and the location didn't even open at our reservation time. They were nice enough to be there already and help us but I'm sure they got in early to actually get other things done. The truck had just been returned. Little did we know all of our stuff would get dirty as a result. They also did not have the blankets we requested so a lot of our furniture was ruined and I am absolutely heartbroken. The ride was also the least "gentle" it could be- it was so rough that I as a pregnant woman couldn't even be in it so my partner had to single handedly do the driving. I rented the same size truck to move down and did not have any of these problems. I am very disappointed despite the numeric review as I do believe the location itself didn't even know the reservation came through last minute.
Courtney DThe reservation was a nightmare. I entered it a month in advance on the app. But when I got to my original pickup location, there was no truck - not for 50+ miles!! I had been dropped off, assuming I'd drive the truck home. If the owner of the original Beaufort location had not gone WAY above and beyond, I'd have been 100% screwed. I am extremely angry with UHaul, but grateful for the good heart of the Beaufort Storage owner.
Tracy BOverall the rental experience was less than satisfactory. No phone contact from uhaul the night before my rental pickup. Uber'd to the Bluffton SC location and found out that they had no trucks. Person there called the 800 # and they found a truck in Beaufort. Uber'd again to Beaufort and once again there were no trucks available. However, Ms. Liz at the location was a TREMENDOUS help in that she called her regional manager and they re-arranged some things and got me a 15 footer. Thank God she helped me because otherwise I would have had to u er to SAV for a truck.

Joe BEverything was fine other than the first time I dropped off on saturday april 20th. Gave keys to lady and she said that was all I had to do. Then when I got Invoice it said I did not drop off til Aptil 22nd at 10:31 am. I never really gave it any thought since I had done the U-Haul load share program and had extra days and wasnt charged. The next time i dropped off Uhaul on May 4th at 12:15 pm. Samething went in gave lady the keys and she said you are good to go. Then I recieve an Invoice a week later saying I never dropped Uhaul off until May 8th at 4:30 pm and was charged $176.55 for 3 extra days. I am not sure what is going on but feel like I am not the first person she has done this to and probably not the last. I spoke with customer service and asked them to look into this. I really feel this woman is taking advantage of people. Especially those who do not track there finances well and just pay whatever the credit card statement says. I really hope U-Haul looks into this because it is a shame that people take advantage of others because of there greed for money . Thank you and have a nice day.

Rikela NI received this truck on empty, I put $20 in the tank when I picked it up. I used the truck for 4 hours, returned the truck on empty the way I got it. The lady said to return it with the same amount of gas it had. Now I'm being charged $78 for gas and penalties. How? Oh, because they said it had a 1/4 of a tank when I got it and it most certainly didn't. I'll never rent another uhaul and I'll insist everyone I know not use them either.

Maria BThe experience with Storage rentals of America was great. Beyond great, if it had not been for the manager I don't know what we would have done. My experience with Uhaul was awful. I reserved a Uhaul truck with an agent on the phone and was given a reservation #. I was 2.5 hours into my trip to Beaufort SC and I realized I never received a confirmation call from Uhaul. I called and was told that my truck pick up was in Savannah instead of Beaufort, which is an hour further away. I then was transferred at least 6-7 times all over the country. While I was holding, I downloaded the app and started looking for a truck. I was able to reserve and given a 2nd reservation # for Storage rentals of America. When I arrived there was only 1 truck in the parking lot and it was a 26ft truck. When I went and spoke with the lady at the rental location, She said that there was hardly any trucks in the area to be rented. I asked her for any kind of help and she called her manager. He was able to rent me the 26ft truck. I am so perplexed as to how I could be given 2 reservation #'s and there is no trucks to be found. I have lost all faith in this company. You want to feel that you can believe in what you were told. It is just ridiculous the aggravation that we had to go through that day.

I don't like that I was being called by the uHaul area Savannah district center that my truck was being changed at the last minute. I was heading to pick it up as I was already on my way, which caused me some stress about my reservation.

Scott BThe drop off location was a large storage unit complex. They had no room for U-Haul equipment and were upset that I returned a trailer to their facility. They were unhelpful at best and complained that U-Haul corporate needed to pick up the trailer. This seems to be more of a U-Haul management issue to be resolved as these people didn't appreciate having a trailer dropped at their location.

Doug VIt should say somewhere obvious that these trucks only get 9 miles to a gallon of gas. I have never had to use one and the almost 300 dollars in gas was a shock for sure did not factor that in. Smelled odd in the cabin not sure what it was wanted to say almost smokey but I don't know for sure. We had to stop and get spray to deal with it.

Amanda HAlthough everything I needed met expectations, the actual pick up and return situation has not been pleasant. When I called on April 1, 2022 to confirm my reservation with a live agent (because I made the reservation online), the agent strongly recommended that I come "now" to pick up the truck because , according to her, there were FOUR reservations made, but only TWO trucks were available. So if I wanted to be sure to have one I should get there ASAP!! I really needed the truck so I did as she suggested. What WASN'T made clear was that I would have to have the truck back exactly 24 hours from the time I ACTUALLY picked it up, and not the time that I had reserved it for in the first place. The agent explained to me that unfortunately U-HAUL basically over promised and then under delivered. So now I've been charged for a full TWO DAY rental when I technically only had the truck for an additional 4.5 hrs; however, that's not my fault when it was recommended to me to "come get the truck now, just in case the others get here before you, and then you're out of a truck because U-HAUL made too many reservations." I believe I am owed back a day's rate plus that second "safety" charge of $14, as I did not keep the truck for a full second day, and I brought it back at the time that I promised/ reserved it for on the reservation site. The woman here listened to our grievances and provided us with the truck she had on site after we had already been to TWO other sites , we had been told my traffic to come to hers for a reservation that was not there. She ended up giving us a truck that was for someone else who had not shown up. My overall uhaul experience is terrible. This is the last time I will be using this service due to the overall lack of care and consideration that your traffic team provides to its customers. We were sent on a while goose chase for trucks when they never actually confirmed if they vehicles were on location. This is the second time we have issues and we will not be giving them a third chance.

SHERRY MI was supposed to pick up the vehicle in Hardeeville ... the location was changed to Beaufort which was very inconvenient for me. You scheduled the pickup for Wednesday morning but then I discovered that the Beaufort location is closed on Wednesday. Fortunately the lady that runs the Beaufort location was very helpful and arranged things so that I could pick up the vehicle even though the location was closed. She is a life saver.
Russell WRental pickup location was changed to a location 38 miles from my home. New location did not have the blankets that I asked for in my reservation and did not notify me of this issue beforehand which would have allowed me to find the blankets elsewhere in a more convenient fashion.

Freeman HWe tried for an hour to contact the Louisville Uhaul on June 19, 2021 at 502-491-4184 and was asked to hold, held on the line for ~10 minutes, hung up and called back 6-7 times, only to be answered then hung up on each time, VERY frustrating. Whoever was working should be evaluated for proper customer service.
WILLIAM BThe drop off location was closed at the time of my drop off. I had no interactions with any staff. The online check in and drop off is very user friendly and convenient.
Valerie SNo dolly's, blankets, tie down straps, etc were available and the truck that I originally reserved that reflected on the website as available at this location, was not and I had to take a bigger truck. As the customer, that meant more money spent in gas and supplies and a major inconvenience. When I asked if the truck that I reserved and was supposed to be available could be brought in from a location 30 minutes away, I was told no because it's inconvenient for U-Haul so they don't do that and that it may be inconvenient for the customer to have to accept a bigger truck or go to a different location, but it's better for U-Haul. I'm extremely displeased and will not recommend U-Haul to anyone asking for my opinion.

Vincent WI expected to pick my truck up at a much closer location, the one I selected on line. For this reason a may not use uhaul ever again.

Juan NPlease for safety purposes check the truck's before renting them to families that are loading them down and driving them from state to state. The truck was clean but as far as mechanical the truck was very unsafe. The frontend was very loose and shook very bad. Every little bump in the road made the truck jump one way or the other. I've driven plenty of box trucks from Penske, U-Haul & Budget. I have never had this problem. I'm not sure if it is necessarily this specific store or if it's on U-Haul themselves to do the maintenance bit somewhere the ball was dropped. I had to do 50mph the whole 300 mile trip on tye interstate which cost me valuable time getting the truck unloaded. The people were very friendly at this location but as for the truck I give it 1 star. I had my son riding with me and ye was terrified the whole way.
Daran HWe love the two women who we have dealt with here for over a year. We have become friends with them. They are so nice, helpful, personal and knowledgeable. What I would recommend for anyone that needs help from U-HAUL from out experience is to talk to someone in person and NOT online. The people here as well as Athens cold not be nicer or more helpful.
