U-Haul moved my pick-up location without telling. Me I spent hours driving and calling around because this location was CLOSED when I went for pick up. The manager at the location was apologetic when the called me on Sunday to find out what had happened, although it wasn't their fault. U-Haul's central reservation system is terrible and very unreliable. The people we dealt with were polite and helpful in person.Ian W.

Limited hours for drop off. Person on site knew nothing so we left keys in drop box. They then charged us for gas saying we didn't fill it up enough. We filled it up right where we got it. Just another way to nickle and dime the customer.RICHARD S.

While I very much appreciated Storage Rentals, the original rental was at another location that opened little later than 5:30 pm. Please update the website to accurately reflect the availability of rentals. This was the second time a change in location was made the last min which caused significant adjustment on my end to avoid cancelling moving plans and commitments. ¡Gracias!Sulaiman S.
The first place did not rent Uhauls and I had to call and was sent to this place. They would not hook up the trailer statig they were a storage company and not a UHaul represented company. I've rented a lot of UHaul trailers and every one has insisted they hook up the trailer. When I turned it in their computers were down and I could not get a receipt.Clay A.

Pricing was incorrect. Called to extend return date and I was informed that the change to the # of days would not cause a change to the billing amount. When truck was returned the bill was higher than expected. Rental location advised me to contact UHaul. Had I known up front when making the change I would've returned truck and rented when I needed it again so I could avoid additional charges.Russell T.

The owner refused to help me hook up or give directions in hooking up the trailer. She said to ask the man in the parking lot who was NOT an employee. Thankfully the man helped me. She rolled her eyes when I said he said she needed to check my blinkers/brake lights. She then made me wait ten minutes before coming out to look it over. When dropping off the U-Haul the gentleman said she should have also taken a photo of the hookup, she did not. Then she didn't give me the dolly ( I thought it was in the U-Haul) so once I got home (20 min drive) I called and she said â€œwell we close at 5:30â€. I asked if there was any other options and she rudely chuckled and said no, That's it. This experience with this U-Haul rental business was disgusting. And when I arrived to drop off the U-Haul trailer, it was even more clear how unprofessional she was. The drop off location deserves the highest marks while storage of America deserves the lowest. When I called twice to The main number of Storage of America, they said to call U-Haul bc it's not their problem.Jill S.

Used this location 3 times in the last 2 months. All 3 times the person behind the counter made me feel like I was a bother to them. They are unfriendly, and seem to view the Uhaul business as a nuisance - maybe Uhaul should go somewhere else. Also, one time my dropoff location was clearly stated to be 2276 N Hwy 101 , but the person told me I had the wrong location!! I will take future business somewhere else.Michael D.

I had ordered 2 dozen moving blankets when I made my reservation online. However, these were not in the truck nor available at the pickup location when I arrived. I would have preferred to have been notified of this before arriving there to pick up the truck. However, the truck was nearly new and in great shape and the trailer was also in great condition so overall I was satisfied.Glenn N.

I was not offered a receipt copy on site. I was told it would be sent to my email which it was. I dispute the additional charge for fuel As I replaced more fuel than I used. I could have disputed that on site and the idea opportunity.david H.

The trailer had had the lock for the rear door cut off. I had to spend the time and money to go to Home Depot to fabricate a locking devise. Then we had to go to an automotive store to buy an adapter to make the lights work. Not happy customerWilliam G.

This was my final destination and Jamie was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpfull. I dropped the trailer off at JDMotors on the corner of Arlington and Wade Hampton Blvd first. They said to put it in an opening on the back of the lot, there was one open but no place for me to turn to back it in. So a guy came out and said put it in front of the Uhaul trucks and went back inside. He did not offer to help guide me while backing up. so after 20 minutes of trying to negotiate around their used cars i dropped it off. An hour later Jamie contacted me about the trailer, I told her i had dropped it off at JDMotors and she informed me it was not logged in. So after finishing moving my other property from a 10X15 storage locker into my new 10X30 I went back to JDMotors and they still had not logged it in so I told them I would be taking it to Storage Rental of America. Then a gentlemen came in and told me I needed to move the trailer from its current position. I told him I was taking it to a different site. He was very rude. If not for Jamie at Storage Rentals of America being so nice and friendly and appolgizing for something she has no control over UHAUL would of lost a potential customer. I have more furniture I need to move from my House in Concord NC that I am selling at the end of the month. I will be picking up a Uhaul from Concord and dropping it off with Jamie. It is my strong recomendation that you terminate doing bussiness with JDMotors.Michael C.
The Uhaul trailer we rented what's fine and ran well. Our only complaint would be that the trailer we rented didn't have all the lights working properly. Only the right brake light and right blinker worked. The left side did not work at all. We checked it before we left and the lady said they were aware of it. To be honest, I really feel like that was something that should have been taken care of before renting it out. It was the only 6 by 8 trailer and we felt like we had no other choice because we needed it for the next morning. Had we more time we may have refused it and going with another trailer that had all the bulbs replaced and working had it been available.Lawrence N.

The time is takes to check out and check in the vehicle is too long. The agent on duty spends too much time on the computer to do these operations. Also, there was no one on site when I checked in the vehicle, so I had to come back. P.S. The truck's cup holder spilled my drink because it is too shallow.John Y.

Have equipment ordered online actually there when I arrived. 2 times now, I have ordered trailers and only to drive 200 miles to discover they were not available! Yolanda, who was working was brand new and wonderful. It was only because of her attitude and outlook I did not explode! The rental truck was fine. However the previous renter had left his glasses in the vehicle and whoever checked it in obviously never looked inside! Penske is starting to look pretty good again!Anastasia B.

I had a couple of issues with my experience. 1. Got a text the evening prior directing me to a different pick-up location 20 minutes away. When I showed to pick up they didn't have the auto trailer. Guy called Uhaul which wanted me to take the truck and drive to another location 25 minutes away to pick up the trailer. I had to ask to have the trailer delivered to a closer location and I would pick up a few hours later. Then magically a truck and trailer was available much closer to my desired pick up location. 2. At pick up location the personnel didn't know I was coming. They didn't offer to help attach the trailer, I had to come back in and ask for help. They also didn't lock the hitch on the ball. Pretty sure he was unaware how the assembly worked. Now, he was a very nice and guy but customer service could've been a lot better. 3. Wasted over an hour trying to pick up my reservation (made way in advance). The pick up location i was directed to by text the night prior could've called me and let me know that the trailer wasn't going to be there. He also could've called Uhaul to develop an alternative plan, not waited for me to show before engaging to fix the problem. Once again nice guy but....Thomas H.

At time of picking up the rental, we were told to bring the truck back with the same amount of gas. It was at "20 miles to Empty". I put $10 gas into the truck and when we returned it, it was at "35 miles to empty", which was a little better than when we picked it up. When we returned the truck it was a different person at the counter and she said just drop the keys and they would mail us a receipt. When we got the receipt it had extra charges on there for refueling. We tried to explain what was told to us by the person when we picked it up, but all we got was attitude and were told 'that's what U-haul does'. I am highly disappointed with this experience and will not be going back to this facility and will probably not use U-Haul again. I will not recommend this service and will let everyone know of the practice that they do.Cheryl D.

A reminder of things that might be needed, don't assume everyone reads the inside or backside of the truck it would have saved me a trip and 100 bucks if I would have known to ask for straps to be able to stack higherVicki S.
