The rep, a woman at the desk said the gas tank was full. She also had my time up until 3PM, I had to let her know that I'm paying for full usage. She also told me I must fill the tank otherwise I would be charged 4.50 per mile. I only dove 6 miles to move a few items nearby. I was really disgusted when I went to the gas station and paid for 3 galls to fill the tank. I found this behavior unethical, and duplicitous. There should be no excuses to tell a customer the tank is full when it is not.

Rather than rent online- visit the people at Fox Storage. They go “above & beyond” in every way for storage needs and for rentals. This is my second truck rental from here plus I have had 2 storage units there. Great place!

Location/U-Haul failed to contact me the day prior per the "Reservation Guarantee" The TruckShare 24/7 pickup did not work for me as I just missed the TruckShare processing window of 1 hour prior to reservation time and 15 minutes after reservation time (NOTE: This information was gained by contacting customer service. I could not find it on the U-Haul website). After the TruckShare failed to work, I was given a number to call. Since the location was not opened yet, I called twice, but it went to voicemail both times. I had to wait until the location opened until I was able to get my rental.

The young lady who assisted me today was very helpful. I changed my mind on the size of my rental last minute. I had booked everything online in advance. She said “it’s no problem, I can make the changes and do everything for you right here”. I was very pleased!!

I made my reservation on line at least a month before I needed the trailer to pick it up at the 23rd St. location in Manhattan. On the day before I was to pick up the trailer, I was told that this location did not have trailers and I should pick it up in Yonkers. I checked for other locations in Queens and Brooklyn but this trailer was not available. If I had learned this earlier, a better location might have been available. The rental worked out ok, but the Yonkers location was not the most convenient.

This location charged an obscene $1.99/mile for a truck with a broken mirror that had to be tied with my phone charger so it didn’t fall off the truck on the highway. This move cost $1,000 for a small 10’ truck in state. I got quotes from professional movers that were cheaper. Never using uhaul again

The staff here had every right to NOT BE NICE TO ME! I was nervous & quite a stickler on the phone. When I finally went in to do business, they were so gracious & professional. They all went above and beyond to welcome me to their facility!

I'm very disappointted with the service, one of your employeer didn't explained and charged me for something I don't supose to pay. I have my own insurance and she wanted to charge me with Uhoul insurance. This is no the first time I rent with this company, I filed a complain and want my money back.

You over charged me for items we didn’t have in our truck and when I called they said they would do the return and never did. You can’t get in touch with anyone directly at uhaul corporate. The rental site we rented our truck from failed to mentioned they closed at 4pm on Sunday as well. I am still trying to understand why we were charge 90 dollars more than we were told. I would never rent a truck through uhaul again. I will also be filing a complaint with the better business bureau.

I had to reserve a rental on three different occasions. The customer service is poor and the trucks are never ready when needed. Even when on reserve, it’s not guaranteed.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The place is well lighted, comfortable, clean, and easy with wagons to transport. The Van was very helpful with the rear camera. I only misunderstood an instruction for the drop off. But, I think the extra monthly charge when there is not a 10 days notice before the end of the month is not convenient for some people because I came in from out of state. The monthly charges for units can be lower for the average person because I had a unit for years and this costed a lot of money vs. the value of sentimental items.

The 15’ truck I rented provided unsafe driving conditions because the driver side mirror was not secure. It keep falling out of position was driving which resulted in me having to return the truck leaving me no options to complete my move.

Customer service was awful, we rented a storage unit and they never showed us where the unit was. After 15 minutes of looking for the unit. We came down to get a cart to load our stuff and had to hear from a customer that we needed to give our license to get one which we were never told! There were a few workers there which one was the manager and we kept asking for them to come check the car and they kept me waiting for 10 minutes until I finally went in and asked again for someone to check the van. Which they had no customers at all. I'm thinking very hard if i should keep the storage unit here because they customer service is unacceptable. I beg you please monitor this location no customer should have to go through this,if their aren't customers how can the business run?

This is not about this location. I’ve had to use UHaul a lot in the past month. It’s amazing how long you have to wait on hold to speak to a human with customer service. I reserved moving help with this reservation. They did not show up and the time we confirmed, then later texted asking to come the next morning. By then, it was too late. I need to request a refund but do not have 35 minutes to wait on hold, only to be directed somewhere else. Make your customer service better, please. - John Bloodworth, johnbky@gmail.com

The 1st booking I have was for 7am pick-up but no one was there and no van was ready. Checked the app. and it says Nothing was assigned... called the number/ person shown on the app. And he told me to ask the location’s staff for $50 Reservation Guaranty. However, when I asked about it the staff said they’re just dealer for U-haul so can’t do anything at the point. Not sure who or what department to contact at this point about it... had to change and rearrange many appointments. Hopefully someone can provide some information. Thanks! Overall the staff were polite when I came in to pick-up the 2nd reservation for the afternoon.
