The husband-and-wife team that runs the storage facility and the U-Haul rental put forth much extra effort to help me. That makes all the difference. The U-Haul truck was in good condition. The 99-cent per mile charge combined with 9 mpg fuel mileage makes this 15-foot truck rental very expensive.
Dan OThe vehicle was clean and easy to drive. I am new to the area and I missed my scheduled drop off time by 30 minutes but they were very understanding. Plus, there is a gas station right next door so it’s easy to return a truck with a full tank. I will use them for any additional moves!

Norma CI was charged for the use of packing blankets and a dolly. I did use the dolly, so that's fair. But I never touched the packing blankets because I have my own. So that was a $20 rip-off. Also, I made arrangements with a storage facility to pick up my truck there and drop it off there. But UHaul called and said that I'd have to pick it up at an inconvenient location because they storage facility didn't have any 15' trucks. When I talked to them, however, they said that had more than one 15' truck. I am NOT impressed tieh UHaul, and I'll be using someone else next time.
Jack BSecond employee of the day had an attitude about me extending my time. Truck was filthy trash and old spills inside very poorly kept. Inside truck end to my things had dirt like sand and trash as well.
Amy HSelf check-in took more than 20 minutes before the system would verify my information. I was charged for using equipment that I didn't use (dolly and blankets) simply because they hadn't put the little plastic pieces back on prior to my use.
Andrew CThe rental fee as advertised of $19.95 "plus fees" for 2 hours of use and a total of 14 miles in addition to having to refill the tank, was in fact $60.00! Also did not appreciate the attitude of the attendant/owner(?) who treated us as though we were some sort of miscreant from the time we walked in. Will find a better way to move a couple of items in the future but it will most assuredly not be from UHaul.

Rich CThe guy who was working at the store it storage place was extremely rude. Had vehicle less than a hour put enough fuel back in it and got charged 40 dollars on 19.95 rental. Went back to ask why when the guy proceeded to belittled and demeaned my husband about his military service saying he wasn't a veteran and that he was a piece of crap for questioning the way he provides customer service. I have used uhaul for many of years and this is the worse one of any experiences that I have had and is the reason why I won't use them ever again. If I was able to give a negative star rating it would be a -4

Luis MTruck could have been prepped for pick up. It was freezing out the back door was frozen shut had to stand in freezing temperatures while the attendant went to get tools to open the back.

Leonard MWhen a vehicle is returned the fuel gauge should not be trusted. It should be taken to the gas station to confirm the tank is full. If it isn't, that top off amount should be charged to the last renter before it is loaned to another customer. I rented a box truck and drove LITERALLY 6 miles and had to put 3.578 gallons of gas in it. I have pictures of the odometer from before I drove away from the facility and after I parked it for the return along with the gas receipt to prove it. Which means either the previous people didn't fill the tank completely or the truck is only getting 1.67 miles per gallon. Either way... I got the raw end of the deal and will have trouble trusting a rental from U-Haul again. Next time I rent a U-Haul vehicle I will take it immediately to the gas station to confirm it is filled up. If I have to put anything more than $1 in the tank I will immediately take it back to the rental location and insist on a full refund for the gas or cancel the rental in full and insist on a full refund or block any charges. Renter beware
Rachel LI put my husband as the driver when I reserved the truck online and it at no time said we had to bring 2 second forms of identification proof. We arrived on time and did not have these documents with us so had to return back home and then come back, adding an additional 45 minutes or so to the check in process. The website needs to clearly say what other forms are needed and that they need to be brought with you to scan at the site for mobile check ins. My husband is a permanent resident so this may have been the reason why; however, it should have been made clear from the beginning given I put in his driver’s license information. It was very inconvenient, but no fault of the company where we picked it up.
Joshua AThe unattended check out process was practically useless. I was fearful that I couldn't get my rental and the advice from the local office was to 'Just call 800-Go-Uhaul'. Even that was sketchy, as I was told 'the app doesn't work that well, go to the web site'. So, I got my rental, but spent 30 MINUTES trying to get checked out. Really frustrating and nerve wracking.

I chose one location for the truck rental, processed the reservation, and only at the end in the confirmation does it tell me the reservation is at another location. It is not mentioned earlier, nor is it highlighted as a change from my request. Other than this I was happy with my rental.

Joel BI tried to use the mobile pickup. Website wasn’t working. Had to go to the front desk which took almost twenty minutes out of our two hour rental.
Adrian FI might recommend the location, but the electronic interface is unacceptable. I was asked to provide an emergency contact with phone number. That emergency contact was called and made to believe it was more like a reference check, and a message was left to "stand by, we'll be calling back in 10 minutes." No further call was made. First, this bait and switch tactic is reprehensible. Don't ask for an emergency contact but then use that information as a reference check. Second, don't call someone who is not expecting a phone call, leave a message and tell them you will call them back, and then don't call them back. I will not be using the online U-Haul interface again and I might not use U-Haul again. It is not the fault of this particular location, however.
Ronald LFirst they never answer the phone. Never!!! I made the reservation online. Didn’t get a confirmation. I called few times, they put you on hold and don’t answer. After I rented the truck and returned, they sent me a bill for 65. I checked my bank account and it shows they’ve charged me 80. So I called the office couple of times and both times put on hold for over 6 minutes. Third time they answered and he answered and without even asking me to hold, he put me on hold. Very rude customer service. It’s not like that place is busy. Both times I went there, there wasn’t a single customer. Now I have to call customer service to figure out the extra charge

Haleigh GI needed to rent a storage unit and a pickup to move items. I was fortunate to find both at the same place, and only a mile from my home. The truck was clean, ran well, and I completed my tasks. I will rent there again when it is time to collect my items in storage.

Paul SThe people there were great, and they get 5 stars. The website unfortunately was having some difficulties. I opted for check-in on my phone, and I couldn't get it to work past a certain point, so I had to go inside. I thought it was my phone, but the employees had to pretty much redo everything I'd done online on Sunday night. Even they were having trouble getting the website to work. But they were very helpful, and I really felt bad for them that they didn't have the proper tools they needed to do their work. My only suggestion is to U-Haul the corporation to fix their website.
Raymond EThe young man stated he new nothing about u haul rentals and insisted that I download the app to rent the vehicle. I said would if I did not have a phone? Then he said I could call and talk to u haul regarding the GPS problem with my phone. I ended up leaving and coming back later to pick up the truck. During that time I tried to call U-Haul only to have a 25 minute wait time. Gee that’s a surprise. Went back to rental location and young man called U-Haul and got ahold of someone inside of 2 minutes. Gee why couldn’t he just do that the first time. No customer service at all. No willingness to try and be helpful the first time. He was just worried about the next customer not being able to rent the truck on Sunday when they were closed. He was worried about me being charged 40 dollars instead of just getting on the computer and taking care of the order. He was useless and shame on U-Haul for allowing this to happen. If your customer service wait time is over 25 minutes then you have customer service and product issues that need attention I will not use U-Haul again or recommend them. I hope to hear from someone soon but I will not be surprised if I don’t
