Excellent customer service at the Stillwater campground pick up location! The gas tanks should be kept at the full mark, like a rental car and you just refill to full upon return. I had some issues when reserving, the program would not take my driver's license, causing a bit of a delay on pick up as the fellow at the pick up place was having issues as well.Sandra J.

Scheduled to pick up truck at 10 am. No one there. Called U-Haul. 10:50 am finally got account set up for remote key access. Cleaned off truck ourselves. Arizona truck, summer tires - one rear dually BALD. No tread. Thank God tire held upRichard M.
Our original pick up location in Thunder Bay did not have our 26ft truck and was aware of this issue more than 24hrs before we arrived. A $200 concession is barely enough to make up for a day's loss to travel to and from Nipigon to pick up another truck. Very disappointed overall as we read online previously that this could be a problem.Philippe J.

Very friendly, explained everything well, lots of room in their parking lot and equipment is organized well. Their store is modern,very clean, and they had a variety of uhaul supplies. It's well worth the drive to Nipigon to rent from Stillwater.Park & Gift Shop!Andrew S.
They had my equipment dug out of the snow and cleaned up and ready in front for when I got they're 5 minutes after they opened. Great service and nice staff walk me through the equipment to make sure everything was safe and explained a few things. 5 star serviceSteve M.

The only problems were 1. UHaul gave away my moving van in Thunder Bay to someone else. Yes UHaul did find another truck in Nipigon, but it was quite devastating to find out you have no truck st the last minute with so many arrangements made. 2. Then after we agreed to Pick up the truck with Cargo trailer in Nipigon, I was cut back from 8 days to 4 days with truck. I called up UHaul and they reinstated back my eight days with the equipment. UHaul at central office were quite polite and understanding. It was hard to estimate the gasoline in the end. I thought for sure I had put in too much; but it was just a bit too little - 22 bucks. But on drop off, UHsul sent me the small bill and that was it. Maybe just have people have a full tank when they leave and when they drop off van. But don't cancel off truck rentals to customers after reserving for several weeks. Like for me, Zi would have been sued by both the buyer of my home for not being out. Then sued by all these contractors working on my home right now - JUST AN ABDOLUTE DISASTER. But costs aside, I was feeling bad for the family driving in from Flin Flon, MB, finding nothing out of my home. But all is well and things are going great now with the move in.Don B.
They were quite concerned about the damage to the truck that should have been repaired before we got it. They were very conscientious & helpful. This location is undergoing some renovations, so it's not inviting at this time, but it's understandable due to the situation. The location is easily accessed & right off the highway, so it can be readily seen.LORI M.

Dennis in nipigon Ontario was the best uhaul renter we have ever had . The other uhaul rental shops could use training from him .he was thorough and made sure all was good he should train other uhaul guys. I would do a pop in visit on the guy in Dryden on government road though he was not thorough or even looked at our uhaul but he was niceRICHARD M.

I was informed two days before my move that my reserved truck was unavailable. Offered smaller truck and trailer which wouldn.t work for me. Had to drive 200 kms. round trip to pick another truck up. Moving trip was 2000 kms @ 30 C. without air conditioning . Not a happy customer. Drop off point would not compensate me for my discomfort. Would not recommend U-HaulChris C.

The personnel at each location that we visited was pleasant, helpful and as accommodating as possible. That said, our overall experience was very negative, as it was most significantly affected by Uhaul's inability to accommodate our order. Moving (particularly a long distance move) is a stressful experience even if everything goes smoothly. My husband and I booked a 26 foot truck for Thunder Bay pickup (Sudbury ON drop-off) in April in order to ensure that the equipment would be available for our June 30th weekend move. Despite that - and our calls monthly to the original Thunder Bay location to ensure a truck would be present - I was contacted less than a week prior to the move to advise that the vehicle would in fact NOT be available. Further, nothing was available in Thunder Bay to meet our needs, and I was told that the only option was a truck/trailer combination in Nipigon (over 100kms away from Thunder Bay). At that point, we had no other options available and were forced to accept this alternative arrangement. This meant that we were driving an extra 200 kms beyond our 1015 km journey with the added risks of towing a trailer. While we were given a kilometer 'bonus' to accommodate this, the difficulty also lay in the fact that about 3 hours of travel time would necessarily be deducted from our last-minute packing period; this was valuable time that instead was spent on the road, correcting a mistake that was not our responsibility. We have finished our move, and there was a discount on the total price out of recognition for the changes, but the reality is that this is unacceptable business practice and a complete disservice to your customers. Based on my conversations with Uhaul employees, I came to learn that this is, in fact, not an uncommon occurrence and that essentially Uhaul equipment bookings can and should never be considered certain. In my view, this is an irresponsible model and it caused my husband and I a tremendous amount of grief and risk at a sensitive time in our lives. I resent that and, despite our pleasant interactions with Uhaul employees/agents, I would never recommend Uhaul to friends or family. In fact, I would do whatever possible to discourage their use of the company.Cecilia M.

Had I known ahead of time I would have not paid in advance. I brought the trailer back a full day ahead of time and DID NOT get credit for bringing it back early! So I ended up paying for a full day to have it parked in the lot. I rent cars every 3 months and I ONLY get charged for the amount of time I use the vehicle. If I bring it back early I still only get charged for the amount of time I used. Not only are the prices a little high but the return part sucks and I won't use UHaul ever again. It served its purpose but I am not happy about my experience.Christine P.
